I understand that handmade or artistic items can have natural variations. This was not that. This was a fundamental disconnect between representation and reality. Do not purchase from here. Product arrived damaged. Due to lack of confidence in product quality, the fact no goods had been exchanged and poor customer service, I requested a refund. I've requested the claims department twice to be connected directly to management and to no avail. This isn't rock science...just do the right thing...focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience. If the product is broken/damaged during white clove delivery, why would I have confidence in it's durability??? Great items. Return policy and process is pricey and not clearly stated up front when I confirmed my order through one of their agents. Return and customers service dept is prompt , friendly and it wasn't a robot or offshore script. So that's very nice. Just cost me a lot of money to reject an item that I didn't have a chance to inspect due to white glove being coverted to FedEx ground. Also photos online do not show enough detail of all angels. I also think the quality of product and why I returned is more manuf Four Hands , than Topography. Ate half the cost just to return (shipping a side table at 40 lbs plus restocking fee. Crazy) next time I'm buying in a store not online. Should have stuck to tried and true retailers like west elm, pirch, renovation or crate. UPDATE: In response to the owner's comment on my review - I have reached out to FedEx and they have stated I have to work this out with you, not them. A limited residential access neighborhood means "an area where pickup or delivery is restricted or limited." As stated we live in a regular suburban neighborhood and the truck simply parked outside. We did NOT request special services. Furthermore, if there WAS a difference of charges with different tiers of delivery, that is Topograhy's responsibility to COMMUNICATE to its customers. I have NEVER experienced this issue with a SINGLE furniture company and have purchased furniture items from COUNTLESS stores. This fact itself shows there is an issue with Topography, not with the way I am accepting my furniture deliveries. At the end of the day, I received awful customer service and would NOT recommend this store to anyone. I ordered an item from Topography for the first time (a table totaling to $721) and had the worst customer service experience off my life. Shipping was included in the total cost for my furniture item, yet I received repeated invoices from Fedex after the delivery saying I needed to pay an additional $77 fee. I called FedEx but they said I needed to deal directly with the furniture company, so I contacted topography in January 2022 stating that I was mistakenly receiving invoices from FedEx. Amanda Davis, apparently the wife of the owner of the company, told me I could take a photo of the invoice and send it to her. No word back, so I assumed it was resolved. Yet I still received constant invoices from FedEx so I contacted her again on 4/8/2022. She responded to me today (4/13/2022) saying that we requested indoor delivery, which resulted in the extra charge. She sent me the signed invoice from FedEx as "evidence." The invoice clearly showed that "inside delivery" was NOT checkmarked. When I pointed this out to her, she did not acknowledge her error at all but instead then claimed that we were actually charged because "residential limited access" was checkmarked. We live in a regular suburban neighborhood and there is NOTHING that should have caused additional charges. Also, we were NEVER informed of the potential of additional charges, and on top of that, did NOT ask for any special services (as literally EVIDENCED by the signed invoice). I let her know all of this, yet she responded by essentially accusing of me lying and stating in her email "I would suggest asking [your husband] what he requested at the time of delivery...The additional services were initialed for by [your husband] though and the reason you are receiving the invoice from Fedex...I am happy to copy my husband on this email as well who is the owner of the company." So incredibly rude, dismissive, snarky, and unprofessional. In the past year I have bought literally DOZENS of furniture items from various companies, and NEVER experienced an "extra charge" or this problem. There is clearly a communication or organizational issue going on with how they handle shipping. I deeply regret deviating from my usual stores. I am happy to forward a copy of my email thread with this company to anyone who reaches out to me. read more

Very bad experience ordering from their website. Furniture was not delivered four weeks ago, because it was damaged. I was surprised the shipping company called me but never heard from Topography Home. After two days, I finally called them to find out how long it'd be for me to receive a new item. I was told it'd be three weeks. Four weeks later, I emailed and called to get an update on my order. Both email and initial phone call were ignored. I called again, the following day, expressing my frustration. I was then told the item would be backordered for another two months. Very lousy customer service. Stay away... there are so many better retailers out there who appreciate their customers. read more

I ordered a sofa in February, was given an eta of April. Then it was bumped to end of May, then June. Product actually shipped mid June, 4 weeks later they attempt to deliver. I requested the sofa be left in the original packaging, it came in unpackaged without any protective sheeting and it was damaged. The sofa also had black handprints on it from the delivery guys. After waiting 5 months I was completely disappointed, I refused the sofa on site. They will not refund my credit card. They apparently took it upon themselves to have it repaired and cleaned. They then tried to redeliver the same sofa! So over it! I do not recommend you order furniture from this company!
