I'm pretty sure this is a chain. My 1st Toppers experience. 5 stars for what it is. Very tasty pizza, affordable especially with a coupon code. Friendly service and easy ordering system on- line. Pizza was ready for pick up on time. Under $12 for a medium. Credit cards accepted. The crust *reg* was good, had a hint of seasoning. The sauce was zippy, cheese was good and the toppings were fresh. I didn't need to add anything on top to enjoy it. No complaints! Of course I'll be back. Got another X-Large cheese pizza to go for Superbowl evening. We accidentally took home a X-Large cheese pizza with garlic bread crust, and I am not complaining! Garlic bread crust?! I KNOW! I had no idea that you could get a garlic bread crust at Toppers, but it is true, you can! The garlic bread crust is basically olive oil/butter drizzled on the crust with herbs and then baked to crispy perfection. Not sure if it costs extra since we accidentally received ours with it, but it is amazing! Tried the garlic and jalapeno cheddar dipping sauce, and they are alright. A tad vinegary, but a nice addition to the pizza. Again, cannot go wrong with this XL cheese pizza! & don't forget the garlic bread crust! :) read more

I LOVE pizza. Like, a lot. So much so that I've earned the endearing moniker "pizza monster" from my darling boyfriend. Perhaps because of my love for this wheel of grease, I tend to like a lot of different kinds. Thin crust, Chicago-style, white sauce or pesto, I pretty much enjoy them all. Topper's is one of my favourite pizza chains, mostly because of the service I always receive, and the freshness of their ingredients. It can take about 15 to 20 minutes to get your small pizza, but you can see the care put into each pie, so I'm fine with it. I love their house dipping sauce as well - a cross between garlic and coleslaw dressing is the best way I can describe it, but I could be way off. I find Topper's is way less greasy than most pizza joints, and their crust seems lighter as well. Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself it's not as horrible for me as it's competitors, but I don't feel as disgustingly after I eat a few slices. If you live in Nepean, I'd definitely recommend stopping by their location on Merivale. I love their veggie pizza (diced tomatoes - finally!) and their supreme. Also - decent prices and pleasant service make it a definite yes in my pizza books. read more

So I ordered from this toppers plenty of times since we are close by from work. I ordered from them on February 19. On that day there was a small, sharp, rock solid piece of plastic found in our pizza by someone biting into it and almost chipping a tooth. I called the same day, of course, but I have yet to hear back from them. I kept the plastic and took a pic. Also the plastic is literally triangular and very sharp, could have really injured someone, I feel like toppers isn't taking this seriously. My father is from Italy. I know what true pizza is -- and let me tell you, it's expensive. The imported doppio zero flour, the imported San Marzano tomatoes, the mozzarella... it adds up, and it's good. But at $20+ for a thin-crust pie, suitable for one person, it's not exactly the most economical option. This is where Toppers comes in. Let's get this straight, I am not rating Toppers in relation to the real stuff. I'm rating Toppers in relation to the other chains and independent pizza parlours that dot every strip mall and street corner of Ottawa. Compared to these guys, Toppers is one of the best places I've encountered and at an incredibly reasonable price too (check online for special offers and pick-up specials!) We usually order the large extra-cheese with the garlic butter crust and garlic & herb seasoning. It comes to about $12.43 with tax included. $12.43! How can you go wrong? When I pick up the pie, the garlicky-herby aroma in the car is heavenly and I usually have to stop myself from opening the box then and there. The sauce is good and the cheese doesn't taste cheap and rubbery. Why is it that soooo many independent pizza shops in Ottawa use disgusting rubbery cheese? Thankfully for Toppers, I never have to encounter those kinds of places again. Do yourself a favour and try them out. I should also note that their online ordering system is AWESOME and that they have loads of free options to make your pizza even that much better. Ranch swirl? Garlic butter crust? All free. Places like Pizza Hut would nickel and dime you for that kind of thing, and Toppers definitely could, too, but chooses not to. I really like that. read more

August 12, 2018 (Merivale Location-Ottawa Canada) While in Ottawa I attempted to order Toppers pizza for the very first time. First their online system took at least ten attempts before it could recognize my address...and I was only five minutes from their location. After finally placing the order online I began waiting for my delivery. 3O minutes later I get a call from them advising its going to be ANOTHER hour before I would get my food noting he only had one delivery person?!? I love this pizza they have the best selection of toppings of any pizza place I have ever seen. I love getting the ground beef with the Tex-Mex seasoning, it's like having a Taco Pizza. I also love the selection of non-pizza items like their Topcorn chicken and the Topperottis. The reason this is only one star though is that I constantly have ordering problems when it comes to this place. Usually I order in the store and then come back to pick it up in the time they tell me but either they underestimated the prep time and it;s not ready when I come back, or they underestimate and it's started to cool by the time i come back, or the order isn't right at all. Tonight I got it delivered for the first time using Skip the Dishes and I got the completely wrong order. I want to say this time was the fault of Skip the Dishes but I have used that delivery service in the past with no problems but can't say the same for Toppers even when I order right at their counter. Again this is among the best pizza I have ever had and there are so many options to order but be prepared for having to get an order remade every now and then, having to wait longer than anticipated or having to reheat when you get it home. read more

We ordered the meat mountain with Garlic curst (which is awesome) and cheese blend. Instead of the 45 minutes it took over an hour. When we called at 45 they instructed us to have the driver call in when he arrived. When the driver called in the person had to get their supervisor. We were paying cash so they adjusted the bill by removing the 3.00 delivery charge (which we are 4km away). We noticed before the driver left that they had forgot to include the two dipping sauces. The driver said call customer service and they can help you. So they reversed 3.00 delivery charge which is a ripoff to begin with and then charged us 1.50 for something they didn't delivery. On top of that the pizza was lukewarm it was still a decent pizza but would not reorder from this place again. read more

I Always back up toppers, they're my go to place for delicious pizzas at great prices.... However, after my experience with this location tonight, they can assure the toppers on Merivale won't get my support. I always tip well (even after my experience tonight) yet my pizzas often take an hour, and I only live 10 mins down the road. I ordered tonight and they told me 30 to 45 minutes so I waited patiently. When an hour rolled around my roommates insisted I called but I digressed. After an hour and 25 mins waiting it arrived. The delivery guy apologized profusely and said a driver called in sick, which happens. But the second I closed the door behind me and grabbed the box, I could feel just how soggy my pizza was gonna be by the level of moister underneath the box. My pizza was not only cold.. But soggy! Grrr, nothing I haye more than having to re cook a pizza that's been delivered for you. My suggestions if you love toppers, don't order this one. read more
