Came here for boba as it was one of the only ones open late in the area. We got the Thai Milk Tea and Jasmine Milk tea, and they were too sweet even though we asked for 50% sugar. Worst bubble tea I've ever had. It's obvious why, they don't have the proper instruments to make the tea. They use a heavy powder and hand mix it. The powder was not thoroughly infused into the liquid and made for an unpleasant texture. Chunks of thick gobs of wet chalky dust floating throughout. The tapioca pearls were irregular shaped and clumped together not round al dente tapioca balls. The employee also took the fun out of punching your own straw in and did it for us behind closed doors. I would of been more pleased if she handed us paper wrapped straws and a vacuumed sealed lid. Only people in the entire place and it took 8 minutes to order and about 10 minutes to make two bubble teas..Super long wait for horrid liquids. Entire place smelled of some sort of cleaning agent bleach/ammonia. The topping counter appeared clean. But, I won't return. read more

What can I say besides the decor is fun and bright! They serve alcoholic flavored yogurt (wow!) I didn't try because I'm a good girl, but thought it was different. The toppings and yogurt flavors are "typical." Nothing different than your fro-yo shops nationwide! They also offer bubble teas, but fair warning; it's not good! They don't mix it properly and you can literally taste the powder it was mixed with. I tried it 3 times to fairly give the employees a chance before I wrote this review. So this place was VERY Clean! The chairs, tables, colors, and designs on the walls were really fitting for the business. I was greeted by an employee asking if I'd like to sample any of the flavors which was a very nice thing to walk in to! I got espresso flavor and it was delicious.. Not too sweet like some coffee ice creams. I also noticed some of the froyo flavors were labeled as vegan which was pretty cool, too. Now for the Toppings! This place is called toppings for a reason. Everything looked fresh and delicious! It was hard to stop myself from loading my cup up with 70 different toppings. My favorite thing about this place though? Their flavored Popping Bubbles (bobas?) Toppings used to be my favorite place of all time for their FRESH açaí bowl, but the last few times I've been extremely disappointed due to the fact that the açaí mix is no longer freshly made, they are pre frozen all of a sudden, which gives the açaí bowl a frozen icicle taste. Also you can tell the strawberries were also frozen n thawed because they were extremely soggy with no taste. This is extremely disappointing. Great place, only problem is there isn't enough help. They accept doordash and Uber eat orders but don't make sure to have enough employees scheduled to fulfill all of these orders and tend to the customers who are coming in also. They should hire more people or quit accepting delivery Service orders they can't fufill on time. (Newburgh) Seriously, when I found Toppings I was new to the world of Frozen yogurt and being close to Toppings I've come to realize they are inferior in overall quality, experience & cost. Having experienced the competition across town it was insane how much of a difference yogurt could taste. I wouldn't say this place is dreadful but wow it's not as amazing as the competition. I've been spending upwards of $65/month on frozen yogurt, unfortunately it's not here and won't be. I just can't put proper words to my illustrate what taste buds experienced but my yogurt wasn't as amazing as I'd expected from my last visit here. Either something has changed or I've experienced way better and it's now obvious to me. When you buy yogurt at 2-3 different spots while the businesses are different it really is apples to apples. Finally checked out the Buzz and I think this might save me from my Weirs drought in the winters. I've always been skeptical about FroYo and I believe this is def a nice little change of pace. As a fitness nut i'm always looking for a way to get a cheat meal in without actually cheating and this kind of covers it ( except i found the squeeze bottle of nutella) there are a a few options for FroYo and nothing really jumped out at me, I chose the choc and kept it moving to the bar, there's def a mess of topping to check out (if you're a newbie like i am you should walk back a forth a few times and pick 4 toppings, anything more is overkill honestly) the shop is quaint and well kept. there's always someone mopping or cleaning up. the staff is nice, theres a little place to sit and chat as well. They were exceptionally clean in their topping stations you couldn't find a crumb anywhere. The place has some interesting lighting choices that make it feel like you're at a club- but I enjoyed it. Love this place for bubble tea, their flavor selection is pretty varied, which makes me happy! Taro (my favorite), coconut, almond, jasmine, green tea, thai (rare), chocolate..to name a few. The owners put a lot of thought into the decor, very modern and in tune with the Fro-yo aesthetic if there is such a thing. I must say though, not being able to try the froyo flavors without supervision or well, not being able to do it yourself at all, dampens the mood a bit but they do have cool cup dividers for when you know exactly what they taste like and know exactly what you want and don't feel like mixing flavors. They have a good variety of flavors and normally have sugar free options. There are a lot of toppings to choose from but sometimes the place is so crowded its tough to look everything over to decide what you want. I wish the topping area was a little more spread out or if they had a list of everything available so you don't miss out on anything. My wife and I decided to take a break in the middle of a very hectic day and since it was blazing outside we figured some fro yo would hit the spot. Our usual place is Hoopla in newburgh but since we were nearby we thought we'd give Toppings a fair shot. To start, the place itself was very nicely decorated and had a great ambiance, very frozen yogurty. The selection was great too! Things were looking up until we wanted to do the thing that everyone does at a frozen yogurt joint: do some sampling! We looked around for the little cups but couldn't find any so we asked an employee. He came out from behind the counter with a stack in his hand and as we reach for them he pulls back and says in an almost defensive way, "I WILL get it for you"... What???? The vibe was killed...Do these people not understand that running from dispenser to dispenser is an integral part of the frozen yogurt eating experience? I understand that they're probably trying to save some pennies but to treat me like some sticky handed child just did not sit well with me at all. Why would I show loyalty to a business that shows no trust in me? Might seem like a small thing, but it was more than enough to send us right on back to Hoopla where the sampling cups roam free... read more
