I tried a snickerdoodle whoopie pie with cream cheese icing inside. The cookies were perfect and the frosting was a bit on the super sweet side but that's how I like my frosting so it was delicious! My mom got a slice of pie- the flavor was pretty good but since it was kept in the fridge, the crust lost a bit of the crunch/flakiness. We bought a take and bake frozen raspberry pie for the next time we have guests over. Mom also got a brownie, which she said was very good as well. The wide selection of pre made salads and sandwiches looked great as well as the large selection of take and bake meals and side dishes. This is my favorite type of a local gem to discover. It's a perfect spot to stop on the way to or from Lake Placid. I actually visited twice in the same day! It's open Friday-Monday (as of when I visited in November'23). I think I'll actually head back to that area next weekend and stop back in to pick up a few gifts and some more baked goods! Update--- We also did end up going back to the shop the following weekend for some more shopping. Customer service could use some improvement. **As I said in my main review, we bought a frozen pie to take and bake. We baked it for Thanksgiving l there was no scent while it baked which was unusual. It wasn't the prettiest looking when it came out of the oven. More unfortunately, no one liked it! My mom said it was the worst she's ever tasted. The crust was so thick and the filling and crust both had a strange aftertaste. This was very disappointing because the treats we had in the store were delicious. If the review was based only on the pie, I'd be a 1/5 stars.

I was looking for things to make a Russian New Years celebration feel more at home and they had all sorts of things: like traditional black bread, red caviar, smoked herring, deli meats, pickled mushrooms and more! They had frozen desserts and entrees as well from Poland, Russia and other Eastern European countries. I do wish they had some more prepared pre-made salads that one could purchase by the pound, but the son of the shop owner was very helpful in explaining the products as he worked the register. Decent selection of items, including a pretty well stocked natural foods section, and good pricing. I like that Hannaford's doesn't do the club cards for discounts. I hate those.... The staff is pretty friendly and the store is usually clean. However...it does get frustratingly crowded on the weekend and they run out of stock very quickly after Saturday. Usually the store isn't fully restocked until Tuesday, so it can be a very bad experience sometimes. Self checkout lines are usually open and pretty good, but I've never had to wait in line *too* long for a cashier here. I think the cashier's lines typically move a bit faster than at other stores around.
