This place is a dream come true for hikers staying nearby in a cabin. I appreciate all the carefully selected goods they have stocked their shelves with- some local and some gourmet. We picked up a few grab and go wraps, some kettle chips, tea, bread, and a chickpea salad for lunch. We will be back for some take and bake meals for dinners later in the week and some dry goods to take home.

Half of a cookie, from The Adirondacks to NYC!

I recently visited Cedar Run while on the way back to my home in NYC. I couldn't have been more impressed with their array of items, well-stocked shelves and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. One of the items I purchased, was their breakfast cookie, which was so delicious that I only ate half and saved the other half so that I could share it with my family back home! I literally transported half of a cookie from The Adirondacks to NYC!

Good selection but their premade sandwiches, wraps, and bowls are mid at best. Paid $50 for something that was just okay.

The owner of this establishment is extremely rude. If you don't want to be treated poorly, I would advise taking your business elsewhere.

Late last year we were in town and stopped in the bakery and asked if they'd be willing to do something a little different than the typical wedding cake. We wanted mini-tiramisus for our guests and a big tiramisu for us. Rene was delighted by the request and welcomed the break from all the wedding cakes. She delivered the tiramisus and set-up a beautiful display of them on wood stumps and she brought in some gold heart decor and greenery. We misplaced our cake topper and messaged her the day ofand she improvised by using a heart stencil with the cocoa powder that came out so nice. Our guests were already raving about how amazing the dessert display was and they raved even more after they ate the dessert. Some people were like I don't normally like tiramisu but I love this. and it was SO good. We brought our whole tiramisu (and maybe a few minis as well) back to our hotel and ate it all throughout our wedding weekend. Rene was a pleasure to work with. We had several calls and emails with her. And she listened and really captured what we wanted. A few of our guests saw I listed this bakery as our dessert vendor on our website and they stopped in over our wedding weekend and said how sweet Rene was as well.

Have you heard of the little engine that could? This is the tiny but mighty bakery. I've been…read morevisiting Lake Placid for years, but only discovered this bakery this year, mostly by following its patrons who were perambulating around the Main Street with what looked like amazing little scones. Speaking of said scones, they're fantastic. If you're expecting biscuit-line scones, these might be a bit of a disappointment. These are on the bread-ier side of the pastry spectrum, but no less satisfying. We tried the blueberry almond scone and the raspberry white chocolate, and both were scarfed down within minutes. I also love that these aren't sickly sweet. Paired with a latte (for which I highly, highly recommend getting a pump of the hazelnut syrup), Bluesberry Bakery was responsible for supplying some of the best breakfasts we had during our stay in Lake Placid. City folks ought to temper their expectations. This is a small town bakery on a quaint main street, and inside, space is tight. There isn't any seating space, and if two or more groups of customers come in simultaneously, the rest of the queue has to wait outside the door. But things behind the counter are manned by a small, dedicated crew of folks who keep things moving. As with any bakery that makes things fresh, come as soon as the urges hit; when they're out, they're out. I learned this the hard way when I came late afternoon for a scone and found they were sold out.

Service was great! Came outside and took my order because I had a dog. VERY ACCOMMODATING! They…read morerecommended the maple vanilla syrup very tasty!
