I was there yesterday 12/29/24 at 4;30 pm with a party of seven We waited for a waitress and the place wasn't busy at all. I went to the bar to order drinks and it took at least 15 minutes to get a drink. Our party enjoyed the water view outside and had to move inside because it started to rain. We congregated and some of us sat at a high top table to finish our drinks and have another round for some of us. The hosted came over to us and asked will we be ordering food? We said no just drinks She said the high top tables wer for ordering food only so we moved over to the couches and she said we can't sit there either because that was for food as well. Mind you the place wasn't empty. Maybe 20 people including us. Needless to say we hurriedly finished our drinks and left. I spoke with the hostess about this on the way out and she said it was the restaurant policy sorry. Well they missed out on our second round of drinks which would have been another 80-100 dollars and the place wasn't busy empty. I would understand if the place was packed but that wasn't the case. I would never go back nor would the other people in my party. I would not recommend the establishment to anyone and would discourage anyone from going there in the future. I'm not sure if this is management's policy or just the unsupervised staff. But you should be made aware of it read more

Stopped at Tooside for drinks before dinner. Great view of the Jupiter Lighthouse. Menu offers some different specialty drinks as well as regular beer wine and mixed drinks. We got one specialty drink, fabulous, and two glasses of wine. We also ordered the Thai shrimp which was really good! A nice first or last stop. read more

I have been a customer for over two years , and like to go there with friends, especially snowbird ones . The view of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is amazing! I always order the charcuterie board as it's a nice size to share along with other starters . Today , I was very disappointed of this board. It's completely different than the way it was . If you can Just imagine greasy salami , and pepperoni , with cubed Smoked Gouda cheese, and we were told there was some Manchego cheese also , but we couldn't taste the difference in between the two . I had better charcuterie from Costco , or Publix. My friend and I did speak to the waiter about this and he couldn't see we were regular customers and very graciously asked if we like to order something else . We did! Hmm, generally don't write disappointing reviews but this was too much to not share. My friends and I came here one night for drinks and while we enjoyed the atmosphere there were a few things that made us question what we were having. First, we had seen the bartenders cleaning behind the bar where they left out two bottles of liquid that looked unexplainable. Lava lamp-like? mold? bacteria? not sure what was in the bottles but I sure hope no one was having any of it. It looked like some type of juice that had been sitting there for years. We then watched someone trying to clean the frozen drink machine by sticking his hand up the spout trying to unjam it? Not sure that's too sanitary. The sad part is, that this wasn't even the worst part. We decided to come back here for a friend's birthday to try out the food and drink on their "two for Tuesdays" deal. After making a reservation with one of the workers (who recommended we make a reservation and come back on two for Tuesday) when we arrived the hostess kindly greeted us by saying they do not do reservations and that the table with a view that we had wanted would not be honored. Anyways we proceeded and sat down at another table still excited about the two for Tuesday deal that they had told us about with the two for one taco as well as two for one on a lot of the drinks. The first question we had asked our waitress was "What drinks are included in the two for Tuesdays" where she very nicely told us "Sorry that's only from 3-6 pm" (We showed up at 7 pm because we were told this was an all-day event) ??? Well, to our own wrongdoing we sucked it up and decided to stay for tacos even though the two-for-one drinks were half the reason we came back. Unfortunately, I can't speak highly of the food either. The Tacos were 2 for $6 and I really can't imagine spending $6 on one of those tacos. They were on the smaller side and size and when they came out they were ice cold and the corn tortilla was wet and soggy. It was pretty sad honestly. When the check came out there was a nice card in there explaining the "two fer Tuesday" deal which appeared to be an all-day thing "TWO FOR ONE Tacos, Tequila, Well Drinks, Draft & House and Domestic Wines" the card reads. Not sure who is in the wrong here? It would appear our waitress lied to us. Seems a bit strange to not know of this deal happening all day on Tuesdays. read more

My second time visiting this super cool upstairs bar. The views of the lighthouse and water speak for themselves. You'll have vacation vibes. All of the drinks are beautiful and extravagant. The food is tapas style and is honestly so delicious. If you like mingling In a cute location with fun music this is the spot for you to visit. I ordered sliders which were $18 it was listed having "Candied Siracha Bacon" and "Smoked Gouda" cheese. The bacon was maybe 4 diced pieces of bacon that where tic tac size it was laughable. Totaling maybe 1/8 of a full slice of bacon. The smoked Gouda was the thickness of a sheet of paper and the size of a listerine breathe strip not even covering half the mini slider. Bartenders were nice but I could tell beverage knowledge was lacking as they didn't quite know what was in certain drinks and also much of the menu was not available. Go for the view alone it's 5 Stars! Tried to return with some family and they said two hour wait.. put our names in as requested. Came back before the two hour mark and said they were closed. Review for drinks/ atmosphere only. The view is obviously the best part. Other than that, it's your standard south Florida bar. Drinks are good (although I typically just get tequila and soda with limes or an orange slice). It's a good place to go with a group; they have a DJ on the weekend at night and the music has been good when I've gone... decent mix of pop, r&b, old school hip hop etc. Expect to wait for a drink if you're going after dinner on the weekend as the bar is usually 2-3 people deep. Service is kind of slow - maybe they could benefit from an extra bartender or at least bar back for the weekends during high season? I've seen a lot of complaints regarding prices... but getting a drink anywhere in the area is around $15 or even more. read more

This was my first time going there. I went on a Sunday night for karaoke from 7 to 10 pm. The location is excellent with a beautiful view of the Jupiter Inlet and the lighthouse. The place is decorated nicely with a tropical look. It is open to the air so you get a nice ocean breeze. I was disappointed with a few things. I ordered the Cuban sandwich that was very disappointing, it was full of some type of orange colored sauce that was overwhelming and that is all you could taste. It also was supposed to come with fries but instead they put salad with it. I called the bar server over and asked him about the fries, he said the fries machine was broken and they put salad in its place. I wish he would have told me when I was ordering so I could have had order something else. After a few minutes passed and we had not received any napkins or utensils, I had to ask the bar attendant for napkins. He supplied us with a few of the napkins you place under the drinks. A little later, I had to ask for utensils and he supplied utensils wrapped in a cloth napkin which is what he should have given us from the start. During the three hours I was there, he never asked if we needed another drink. Finally, karaoke was scheduled to be from 7 to 10pm, but it didn't start till 7:40. read more

The Beacon, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the treatment I received at your restaurant recently. On 03/30/24, I visited The Beacon for drinks with my date and her sister. We were enjoying our evening when suddenly, I was approached by a member of your staff who informed me that I needed to leave the premises. I was shocked and confused by this request, as I had not done anything to warrant such action. I was then told that another customer had complained that I was taking photos of them. I want to make it clear that I did not take any photos of anyone while at your restaurant! In fact, I showed the staff member my phone and even requested for him to check the security cameras before making such accusations. My only focus was on enjoying my evening, sunset and the company of my date. Being asked to leave in such a manner was not only embarrassing but also deeply upsetting. It ruined what should have been a pleasant evening. As a regular customer of The Beacon, I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at your establishment. However, this experience was atrocious. I need an apology for the way my guests and I were treated and reassurance that steps will be taken to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Your staff members should not use his "power" as a manager to make accusations, especially when I did absolutely nothing wrong. It appears that who ever talked to the manager confused me or was senile. Additionally, the manager should have spoken to me about the issue instead of asking me to leave right away in front of my guests. Please be advised that if I do not receive a written apology from your staff member and The Beacon Management, my lawyers will pursue this matter further and seek punitive damages. Cole was practically making drinks for everyone as the other bartenders looked at their phone and chit chatted. Food service was beyond TERRIBLE!!! Ordered Quaq as an app, it literally came 10 minutes AFTER we were DONE eating. And on top of that, it was the worse quaq ever. I buy better prepacked at Publix. I've been to Topside 3 times now. Once before opening to preview the menu, once earlier in the evening for happy hour and once at night. Each time was fantastic. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and the cocktails are inventive. The view is unmatched and I love the vibe - it's casual, friendly and relaxing. They have some really cool cocktails like the shareable Snow Bird that comes in an oversized flamingo with a ladle for divying up. One of the nights we went for a nightcap and just had a beer and enjoyed the music and atmosphere. I think they've done a great job of joining the Jupiter scene. They partnered with Jupiter-based Pumphouse Coffee Roasters for a custom blend for the property and Boca Raton-based Barrel of Monks for their Love + Passion Blonde Ale. Been a few times now and have enjoyed this new spot tremendously. First off, there's no better view, and being elevated ensures nothing blocks said view or the breeze. Drinks are creative and strong, the food is good and the staff is generally friendly and efficient. Much of the space is relegated to seating areas that can be reserved, but plenty of bar and "observation deck" seating, first come, first served. Lost a star for the flies that are everywhere and super annoying, although not sure what could be done since it's an open-air environment. Trying to create a buzz where there is none. The door person told us that there is a 15 minute wait to go up, and while we waited, multiple people exited, which would logically say "1 out 1in".
