This place is in Loudon County of Tellico Village and is open to the public. Arrived on a busy Friday night and the hostess quickly cleaned a table so we had a place to eat. Katey was our very nice & attentive waitress. Enjoyed the seafood chowder, fish fry, black Jack flat bread and Reuben. Beers were nice and cold. We were able to watch March Madness with lots of TVs. It was busy, but the waitress served everyone drinks and forgot mine. Reminded her, then she forgot again. Had the fish and chips which people I was with had eaten before, and highly recommended. It was soggy and horrible. Another person in my party ordered it also, and his was soggy as well. The salmon was dry and over cooked. No one in my group of 5 had a great meal. The burger looked decent. Someone told us that there was a new chef. Hopefully they get another one. I won't go back. I can cook better at home. read more

Wow, Toqua you have me excited and drooling! My favorite fish restaurant around Z Fish House recently closed back in January and I was so upset to hear about that. Guess what the owner of Z is now the chef at Toqua, and that makes me so excited to return to Toqua! The menu is large but what I am so happy about is to see the daily specials. Chef Ed Ziems from Z Fish House is killing it with fresh seafood specials. I recently had his Pan Seared black Amberjack with rice and Brussels sprouts. The fish was the star but those Brussels sprouts were a close 2nd glazed with a sweet chili sauce. Yum! Tuesdays they usually have live music. They are also a golf club so if you are a golfer it's an added bonus. There are plenty of neighborhood regulars driving their golf carts to pick up takeout food. I love neighborhoods like that. If you find yourself out in Loudon, go check this place out, they have a full bar and I know you won't be disappointed with the food. Recently moved to Tellico Village and live only 0.6 miles away, close enough to walk (which I have done on occasion). This has become my local watering hole. Lots of good folks to chat with at the bar. It is a comfortable setting frequented by local residents and golfers. The bartenders and servers are friendly and attentive and sometimes entertaining. There is a decent selection of beers on tap, although it would be nice to have a pale ale (like Sierra Nevada) available. Yuengling has become my default. They make a good Bloody Mary. The wine list is meh. The menu has a good variety and there are always daily specials. I particularly like the mahi tacos, raspberry chicken salad and the club sandwich (lots of meat!). If something sounds good to you on the menu, go ahead and order it. read more

I go here whenever I visit my family in Tennessee. A few years ago it was pretty bland. Now, however, they have some really great food, and that's coming from a California native. The pizzas are excellent. I do wish they had Guinness on draft but I can keep dreaming. read more

The building is recently remodeled over the past few years, the golf course is great, so is the driving range and pro shop. Golf course staff are friendly and helpful, but of course, this review is for the restaurant inside, obviously. My folks live up here and I've come here to use the driving range a couple of times each visit, but have never had the chance to go inside after hitting a few buckets of balls to either grab something to eat or just grab a beer and cool down. This last visit a few days ago, I told Pops to head inside and get a few beers on the bar while I went to drop off the clubs in the car, which took me about 5 minutes. Since it was only 11:30 a.m. and it didn't look very busy inside, I fully expected my dad to have polished off a good portion of his brewski by the time I got there. What I saw was an empty dining room, and my dad sitting at the bar with only one other customer, but no drinks in sight for either of them. What's up? Two ladies behind the bar, both at the register trying to figure something out and zero attention towards the only customers they had in the place. I asked dad if he ordered something and he said that he'd been ignored since sitting down. What the foie? Then, I noticed a familiar face from a recent episode of Restaurant Impossible walk out from the kitchen. He was the former owner of a restaurant that Chef Irvine tried to save in Loudon, TN but permanently closed after the rescue. Ok, kinda cool, but then he joined the problem solving at the register. Still, nobody looked toward the customers, now there being 3 of us. Finally, dad got frustrated and spoke up asking if anyone was going to get him a drink. "I've been sitting here 5 minutes, you know!" Well, that just made the two girls at the register a little flustered, no apology, and the older girl told the younger girl to go see what we wanted. It doesn't get any better. The failed chef from Restaurant Impossible chimed in by saying quite rudely, "Sir, I'm just a cook, I can't do anything...." and then the young girl asked what my dad wanted. When he asked for a beer she said she couldn't pour one because she's too young! What the....!?!?!? You shouldn't be behind the bar, then! So, agitated, the elder girl grudgingly poured my dad a beer and gave me a cup of ice with a splash of water served with a ton of attitude and indignation. It was as if we were a burden and not an opportunity for them to make a few bucks on a slow morning. Then, she sassed the nice lady sitting at the other side of the bar, "Well, I'm just waiting for you to tell me what you want to drink!" Seriously? Apparently, this isn't the first time the service here has been lackluster according to mom and their neighbors experiences as well. It's weird, too, because the sister restaurant at Tanasi is always busy and we've always had exceptional service and food. This golf course serves the home owners in the small communities here in Tellico. It's such a shame because the location and building is awesome. They need some more training in how to treat their guests, and the quick interaction from the cook makes me start to think why maybe his restaurant didn't make it and he's brought that attitude here. I'm willing to be wrong on that, but we'll only come back to use the beautiful range and course. We'll do lunch and drinks back at home rather than here and save a few bucks. read more

We were seated immediately in a crowded room. The bar stools were full, not that we wanted to sit there, but they were full. Our server, Sarah greeted us and took our order for drinks. When the drinks came, we were ready to order. I had the Crispy Chicken Caesar salad with ranch dressing on the side. He ordered the fish and chips. After our orders were delivered by someone else, Sarah came to check that everything was ok and saw that my ranch did not come. She immediately took care of this without me asking. That, to me, is good service. Both dinners were very good. I would go back there if ever in the area again. read more

Toqua Clubhouse Restaurant has reopened after 10 months of reconstruction. With 12+ TVs a full bar and great menu the restaurant is now truly a sports pub. The hours have changed- they now open for Sunday brunch at 1000 (currently the only breakfast day). The rest of the time they open at 1100 for lunch and close at 9pm- later if there's a big game on. The food, atmosphere, and service are good. Give them a try. read more

The Toqua Grill is a very popular spot for the local residents. Serving as the clubhouse and bar for the Toqua Golf Course, this location is also open to the public. The staff were very friendly and the patrons inside were socializing and having a great time. Our group of golfers was made to feel like valued customers even though we do not live in the neighborhood. The menu is loaded with various options ranging from Italian to Mexican dishes and everything that we tried was good except for the grilled chicken which was a bit tough. Stop in! read more

We met friends for Sunday breakfast. Our server was great. The food was horrible: Eggs over easy came out of the kitchen floating in fluid. Ham was simply a thin deli slice. English muffin which was specifically ordered crispy, came out untoasted and floating in the ? fluid. The bar tender was not only surly but served Mimosas and Bloody Mary's without garnish. I left a comment card with my contact information to express my dismay...NEVER got a reply. Obviously we will not return. read more

First time here, Jan 17, 2020 although I live within 20 miles just wasn't aware it was here! Tellico village is kinda tucked away in a small town BUT this is a great cafe! I had the cheeseburger, hubby had steak& cheese philly with onion rings that were tthe best in our area! The food was awesome the service perfect and the cleanliness was refreshing! Neither of us haD a single complaint. The dessert was perfect! We had the "forest berry pie w ice cream"! Go there!!!! You won't be disappointed!! read more

Delicious breakfast and lunch. If you are in or around Loudon TN, you should definitely stop by for breakfast. You can't go wrong with the French toast!!I asked the waitress Kim for a suggestion when I wanted something different and she did not disappoint with the Toqua sandwich. If your looking for a good breakfast for sit down or to go it's a pretty quiet little place. They just changed the French dip and oh man! Is that thing delicious!! My wife and I had the usual, traditional and great Bloody Mary's today , but also had Boom Boom shrimp that were awesome and I had a fantastic Reuben sandwich. My wife had a "half" Cobb salad bigger than full salads you might get elsewhere. Got to sit on the outdoor patio, which is quite pleasant. A good restaurant is defined by four things 1. The Food. Are the ingredients fresh? This was always a big issue for world renown chef Gordon Ramsey. For a casual dining golf restaurant the freshly food prepared was a delight, no microwave warmed food here! Thanks to a real chef on staff. The mostly distinctive thing about a chef verses a line cook is that nearly every trained chef uses salt to enhance a natural flavor whereas the opposite is true for the regular restaurant line cook who uses salt purely as a seasoning. 2. Presentation. The food portions were generous and the presentation was very satisfactory. 3. Service.The servers were young, energetic, attentive and very pleasant without being overbearing. 4. Atmosphere. This was the only thing lacking somewhat, the lights were on the brighter side which is normal for an establishment such as this. The decor was very ordinary and there really not much ambient lighting but then again I was not expecting a leather booth and candlelight on the night I stopped by. In conclusion Toqua Golf restaurant was a pleasant dining experience and welcome surprise seeing that I have been driving by this restaurant for the last year. read more
