Toreros is not Fine Mexican Food. Nope. I ordered Carne Asada Tacos and I got a flimsy hard to chew meat with beans, a spoon of Guacamole and tortillas on the side. Nevertheless, we were with a group of 10 and most of the food we got was unappetizing. The Queso fundido with chorizo was okay because the chorizo was tasty. Ordered Margaritas, Nope, no good. The chips were the only fine eating at Toreros and I do give them kudos for their bar tender and waitress who were super sweet and attentive. I also enjoyed having a bottle of cholula hot sauce on the table because that helped me eat my food to have some taste in it. Based on how the dishes were served I have a feeling the cooks have never had real Mexican food before and that is not an issue for good food goes a long way but the food was tasteless and hard to chew. Whomever thinks this place has good Mexican food has obviously never had true authentic Mexican Food. I do not recommend Toreros. read more

No. Point letter 2: How is it that said to-go order literally has less food in it? You're already charging $16 for chicken, pre-cut frozen vegetables, and rice. So now that it's to-go, you put less product? I weighed 4.4oz of chicken. That's actually wild. Finally: What's with all of these local cities preying on military installations? First of all, our server, Kristie, was fantastic. We were a group of seven, including two small children, who came in for lunch on the day before Thanksgiving around 1:00. Food was great, service was impeccable, problem came just after I received the drink I had ordered. The manager/owner stopped my server and asked her if she had given me my bill. This was said in hearing range. I don't know if he was afraid, I would abscond without paying or if he was ust trying to rush me out the door either way it made me angry that he/they would treat the customers that way. Please understand that being alone I don't dress to the hilt. I wear jeans and oversize shirts, I don't know if that gave him the wrong impression about me. Coming from a VERY picky Mexican food critic 3 stars I think is pretty accurate. The service was great, drinks were always filled, plenty of chips & salsa and cheese dip (with adding a little salsa) was pretty damn good. In ordered the Chimichanga Fundia, the chorizo was the best part. My husband ordered the Chili Colorado, and honestly it was just a roast with enchilada sauce on it. Walking into the aroma of the many fine smells associated with a Mexican style restaurant reminded my tummy I was hungry and the growls started to rumble. A good evening and welcome from staff was a cool breeze cooling me from the hot humid outside air. All around the service by their knowledgeable friendly employees made the visit well worth the trip. Although, this was my first time here, I felt ready to return in the near future. The food went down quite good; such as the appetizer of fresh tortilla chips and sauce kept us busy until the main order made it to the table. The taco sampler I ordered seemed to have been small but it was just me enjoying each and evey bite. I will be returning again. The outside had some trash which was left on the ground and furniture by the entrance also had trash left on them. *PEANUT ALLERGIES BEWARE* I am only giving one star because I want to warn other people with allergies to peanuts. I have a severe peanut allergy and know immediately after I eat anything peanut. I got very sick from something I ate here. The menu did not disclose any peanut ingredients being used. The staff denied having used any peanut ingredients in anything or cross contamination. The only thing I can think of is that the beans or rice is from a can or package that contains peanuts and they really don't know what they are serving people. read more

Taco Ole, Street Taco, Taco Al Pastor and Gabe's Taco. My Waitress Katelyn recommended it to me and I was not disappointed. The salsa was fresh tasting but the chips were fried in old oil and tasted burnt and tough. The carnitas were tougher that aunt Mabel's pressure cooker pot roast. Just awful.
