I need to add more compliments to the Toro team headed up by Art on the Carpinteria Ash Ave job. We were at our home in Carpinteria when they completed the job on ~8/9/2017 - perfection at its best in every way. The completed project is a work of "Art" with the Toro crews ensuring the work was done right (well, to our eyes it is and we;re not in the business). I needed to update my original YELP review as they deserve the highest ratings. We live full-time in Manhattan Beach and see a lot of construction going on in different areas of LA to include the freeways. The Toro team who worked this job outworked any construction team my husband and I have observed over the years (we are business people and know efficiency, quality outcome, and timeliness are some of the keys to success). I think Caltrans, in particular, needs to hire Toro, Art, in particular to do their training on how to work efficiently, with safety in mind, with a great attitude. We see time after time, Caltrans on the freeway, there'll be like 5 men in the area - 1 working and 4 hanging out. If I needed a construction team to do a job for me, I would first check out Toro. I wish all of that team of experts who worked this job continued success. read more

Worst construction company out there. Absolutely horrible with traffic control and road management. these guys are a joke.They have no idea how to operate correctly. They take forever to do jobs and are messy, unorganized, and unprofessional. read more

Wish I could give no stars, these guys do act like they run the streets here in Simi Valley, this bs shouldn't take 4 months a street lol? What a joke I feel bad for the workers they just want a check it's Management, they also keep making us move and someDays they aren't even out there working! I want them gone. Toro has cost me hrs of sleep waking up early to accommodate them, and sometimes leaving to drive home later if I happened to come home before 4pm (7am-4pm) They've cost me time and Money; we pay to live in these homes why can't we park not in our driveways from 7am-4pm What if I want to walk to work? This review is regarding their employees directing traffic on road blocks. I asked 1 guy this AM in Canyon Country a question about the road block and he responded "the signs are pretty obvious aren't they?" The employee proceeded to reiterate their reposes instead of answering the question for clarification. Reading the rest of these reviews I see how the smartass pompous attitude was not new. I am a resident of the city of Glendale, California and the city hired Toro Enterprises to repair several roads across town. I was doing my morning exercises which was near one of the sites behind the City Courthouse and Jewel City Bowling. I was taking a break sitting down when I felt a burning sensation on my skully and when I looked up one of their employees was pointing some sort of laser or an amplification device concealed under or in his phone. It immediately caused a migraine in the spot I was feeling the burn. It's been almost 24 hours and the migraine has persisted. I'm writing this review to see if anyone has or had gone through this situation. read more

I was driving through a repavement area that Toro Enterprises is working on. one of their employees who is directing traffic was screaming at somebody profusely because he didn't understand some thing or who knows what it was but how he was treated from one of Toro employees was so inappropriate. The guy looked like he was from prison. I then called and spoke with Ian Maclasaac Who apparently is the project engineer which I told him about the incident and he could care less over the phone. Now I can understand the level of consciousness that this company has and how they treat people. My son was in the car he was so scared of what he saw and how that guy was treating the driver and when I told Ian about it he had no heart at all. He couldn't apologize - nothing. I would never hire this company. I took a photograph of this employee and when you look at the picture you can just tell he wants to fight. Ian is so much in denial. He does not want to take responsibility or admit his Hes wrong admitting one of his employees would do this. . I would never hire this company ever. A complete danger to public safely!!!! read more

Horrible for businesses/residents in their construction zones. They may do good deals for govt agencies, but they are not business friendly. They blocked our business due to their construction. Clients had no access to our business. AND they gave no notice of the construction, when they were supposed to 7 days and 1 before the construction. BAD for local business. read more

Toro did a terrible job on Loma Vista Road project. Instead of completing the project and re-paving, they just repainted the road line. City of Ventura is also responsible for not holding Toro accountable for their work. read more

Workers are so rude! I had the foreman yelling at me for no reason all while I was trying to explain why I was parking there for 1 minute before they started working. He was so rude and was yelling and screaming so loud he scared my toddler and she started crying and screaming. Guy did not even apologize. Called the owner to complain never got back to me. Such a shame the City of Oxnard does business with them. read more

Because of the lack of coordination they find drivers not knowing where they can and can't drive so when someone makes a wrong turn a worker jumps out in front of your car and begins cussing at you! THE ONLY REASON I GIVE THEM ONE STAR IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO OPTION FOR ZERO OR NEGATIVE STARS. These people have been working on Hollister Ave in SB / Goleta area for over a week now. Traffic backed up for miles and causing major delays. They don't finish by the 4pm advertised time. They are rude, one of them blatantly screaming profanities at us because they can't manage their own job. HORRIBLE. Why Santa Barbara did you hire these people?!
