Absolutely nothing to complain here! Do prepare to make a reservation, if you do it in advance, make sure to call again to ensure your reservation is saved. If you are vegan, you are saved! Make sure to let the waiter know, they will cook it in the back. Specify you cannot have egg or butter to ensure it is safely cooked. This place is very busy at dinnertime. My friends and I got a reservation for 10pm on a Thursday night which we accepted and still had to wait until about 10:20pm to be seated. Everything was very rushed as they close at 11pm (we were not aware of this beforehand). Hibachi meals normally come with include clear soup and salad. This place doesn't give you the salad. Everything else was cooked super quickly and some of the fun hibachi entertainment didn't happen (no rice toss for us). I don't blame them for having to wrap things up, but they probably shouldn't take reservations that late if they can't provide a fair dining experience. We were scuffled out to leave. The food was still tasty and for being at a major amusement park hotel, the prices were fair (most hibachi selections between $23-$28). I would go back here, but I would suggest you make reservations far in advance. read more

Um... yeah. Ya know, I'm m kind of a high maintenance Karen when it comes to restaurant reviews and am always quick to find fault but I have never seen a place more unfairly maligned. Toro Hibachi is EXCELLENT. I have been to several of these "Japanese" hibachi Beni Hana rips with the clanging spatulas and flying food but seriously this was the best. Service was friendly fast and excellent. The spraying of warm sake into the mouthes of willing patrons during the show was definitely a first and a big plus. In short- food was great, staff fun and enthusiastic, I laughed hard and had a blast. Lets face it- your options are limited at Breakers anyway so don't let the misguided haters dissuade you. Not sure why all the bad reviews. The service was good and for the amount of food. Probably the best deal price wise on the island. Our chef was fun and entertaining and loved to squirt his sake at you!! What's better than free Sake? Don't go off the bad reviews, go in and have a meal . We have a family of 4 and it was under $100.00 that's not bad. At home we would of easily spent over $100. Good job guys read more

Save your money food is terrible. Steak was rubber and if you're going with anymore then a family of 3 be prepared to pay over 160.00

Like 4/5 for the food, 2-3 for service. We were wanting more of a sit-down lunch in the park yesterday so we headed over to Hotel Breakers. Toro opens at 2pm but I think most people don't know that. The "show" was fun and the food was very good... Huge portions so I wasn't able to finish it. I got the sirloin steak hibachi which came with soup, veggies, and fried rice. My friend got the chicken hibachi and one of her daughters got sushi.... They didn't give her any chopsticks which was odd. There was someone at the beginning of the meal who took our drink orders - we all ordered water and then never got refills, although I technically didn't need it. Overall I'd come back here, the food was pricey ($23+ for hibachi, steak was $25) but you get a lot of it, and it was definitely easier on my stomach then some of the park fast food would have been. read more

I love Habachi... it's one of my favorites. And so I've experienced a number of Hibachi restaurants and this one rates low on the ladder. The show was good... but it was missing some of the regular things that is just expected with a hibachi restaurant. 1. NO chop sticks. For real! This seems like an absolute no brainer. So I ate my food with a fork. 2. NO salad or dessert. I can skip the dessert, but no salad? This is kind of 101. 3. Slow drink service. It was also crazy that the chef kept offering saki from a plastic bottle (like a restaurant ketchup bottle) where he would spray the saki into your mouth. I kind of felt like I was at a frat party.... which I guess is what you want if you're on vacation. But not necessarily what you want on vacation with your kids. They had "fruit juice" that they did for the kids... but I really don't want some stranger teaching my kids how to do creative shots. That all said, the meal was good, the show was fun and I got some laughs in. read more

VEGANS BEWARE: All rice in the building is premade with butter. Mix this with the menu selection and you are stuck with a plate of veggies for $20. The show was average and the food taste was fine. I'd recommend skipping this place. But if you are dying for the hibachi taste there you go. Service was a bit lackluster for being the only table in the building. read more

We had a reservation at Toro Hibachi, located in Hotel Breakers, on a Saturday evening at 5pm. Our group of twenty had two side-by-side hibachi tables. The restaurant is very small, I highly recommend making an early reservation, and if your party is small, note that you might be placed at the same table as another group. There is also limited bar seating, but Toro Hibachi is all about the experience, so you should really try to be seated at a hibachi table. We had a wonderful experience with our hibachi chef's, they brought the entertainment and cooked up some great food. I personally ordered the sushi (a spicy eel roll), but would say skip the sushi and go for the hibachi. Expect to laugh, be a part of the show and have a great time. This was a great memory for our group and something I'd do again. I haven't been to a hibachi restaurant since I was a little tot, and I forgot how entertaining it can be. read more

Just like the previous reviewer, I love hibachi. But, this particular restaurant ranks on the VERY bottom of the totem pole. First, the prices are absolutely obscene for what you receive. $25 for hibachi shrimp?! Second, the food was all completely over cooked. The rice, my girlfriend's shrimp, the salmon that my friend and I both ordered. The highlight of the meal was the $8 can of sapporo silver and the grilled mushrooms. Also, there was no salad! But, apparently, that was only because it was their first day of the season. Third, service was God awful. My girlfriend had ordered miso soup. She received the same chicken broth soup that comes with the meal. When she had addressed the issue with the waitress, she was completely ignored. No refills were offered. The show was lackluster. The only saving grace is that I was showered in what was supposedly sake out of a ketchup bottle. Thank you for giving me a little bit of alcohol to help me deal with the fact I was still sitting in your restaurant! Would not return to nor recommend to a friend. read more

I definitely would not recommend. Saw this place through the window, looked nice. Went in to get seated and waited an hour to get served. They sat and fed two tables after we were seated. To top it all off, they did not have Miso soup. (What Japanese restaurant runs out of Miso, not prepared) The food was not bad but the bill also took forever! Decided to eat here last night. The food was average for hibachi style. The chef was fairly entertaining, but far from the best I've seen. I ordered a couple pieces of sushi and they were ok, not great. What makes me write this review and the reason for the 2 star rating - the utterly horrible service from our waitress! If the name on the check is correct, her name was Pingping. She was ok at the beginning, but never came back to ask if wanted more wine, we had to ask twice for chopsticks! When i actually tried waving her down to ask for another glass of wine, she was too busy staring at her cell phone. I asked everyone at our table if I was correct in thinking we were receiving horrible service, and they all agreed (they weren't part of our group) and I think they really stiffed her on the tip. We gave 15%, which is low for us, but we didn't want to stiff the chef. If I could be found him afterwards, I would have given it directly to him in cash. Since this restaurant is in a prime location at the Breakers, you'd think it would be much, much better. Sadly, it is not. read more

I'd give this zero stars if I could. We made a reservation. Arrived on time. We were sat with another group that must have been waiting awhile because we were instantly pressured to order. I wasn't ready to order when the server came over immediately once we sat so I asked her to come back. She then came back with the manager who said we needed to order now because the other people wanted to eat. I didn't get my wine until the dinner was almost made. The serving sizes were small. My steak was over cooked. I will never go back here while at CP again. . Plus this place was soooooo noisy!!! read more
