We ordered two orders of the crab Rangoon, only because the first order was so good we had to order another. We had to get some peas because it's a must when coming to a sushi spot. We ordered tons of maki rolls and the flavor was amazing. The service was so fast and extremely nice. I had my daughter with me and the host gave us some candy as a little treat after dinner. Tucked in a strip mall, would just drive past or skip until you know it there, it is worth a good meal and fun experience at the hibachi table. Hibachi is cooked up perfectly table side and with that dazzle dazzle of flames. Scallops cooked up perfectly and the chicken breast size is very generous. You van have noodles or rice with the fried rice. Service is quick, you have to have two people in your party eating hibachi to be seated at an already full table, but their loss on money as I was on in on some fancy sushi, but I enjoyed my meal down to the lat dip of yum yum sauce. read more

Response to restaurant management: - if my scallop was new, why did it taste like lemon? - I have not had a scallop before that was served with lemon so how would I know to ask for it without? ----- My review is based on my experience having gone there for sushi and not hibachi. I am also a sushi fan and prefer sashimi over non-raw rolls. I arrived after work around 5:30 and was immediately seated. Most booths on the Sushi side were already full. I glanced over at the hibachi side but was walking too quickly to really get a good idea of how many people were there. I could tell there was probably a lot of people by the hibachi because there was a lot of noise. Or it could have been the person that was working the hibachi table. He was very loud - yelling and banging very loudly on things and it was difficult to hear my husband talk even though we were sitting on the Sushi side. Thankfully "the show" does end when their food was done. All part of going to a restaurant that has a hibachi section...so keep that in mind if you are looking for a quiet meal. We spent some time exploring the menu because it was our first time here. We asked a couple questions of the waitress and really didn't have a good experience with that. I do enjoy soup before my Sushi and I pointed to a picture of the soup that look like it was tomato-based and not clear broth. I asked the waitress if it was the seafood soup as I knew it wasn't the others on the menu. She said that it's just a picture and they don't offer that soup. Well bummer. I decided to get the avocado salad along with several pieces of sashimi. The avocado salad was served first and it had what seemed like a whole avocado on it. The avocado was sliced very thin and someone definitely has skills while slicing and arranging that avocado. I took a bite it was immediately disappointed with the salad. The lettuce was moist but it was hard to tell if it was a very light dressing or just sprayed down lightly with some water. On the positive side the avocado was perfectly ripe. This is sashimi arrived and was disappointed to see that the raw scallop was sliced and lemon wedges were placed between each layer. Raw scallops have such a light flavor that lemon is just overpowering. Unfortunately I also cannot eat lemon due to horrible acid reflux. I asked to get a new scallop as I cannot eat lemon. My plate was removed and came back a few minutes later. I ate a slice of the scallop and it appears that somebody just remove the lemon slices but did not give me a new scallop. I suspect it was a scallop that was previously frozen until we ordered it and lemon was used to disguise that. The tuna and the salmon were very good. Tasted fresh and a good cut of fish. Now for the presentation of the food. Initially it looks like typical Japanese preparation, which is elaborate and beautiful. However I did have some concerns over sanitation. Plates had a little Chinese paper umbrella on it, the kind that you sometimes see in mixed drinks. My husbands look like it had been used previously. Both of our plates also had some sort of little glass cube on it that glowed different colors. Given the issue with influenza going around during the winter time, I was a bit concerned over those glass cubes and how they potential may or may not have been cleaned previously between uses. Needless to say, I did not eat any vegetable that came in contact with the cube or umbrella. They could be a one use item and then disposed but that would be very wasteful. I don't need my meal glowing and flashing different colors. read more

I want to give it a 3 but the hubby insist on at least 4. The atmosphere was dark like bar. The cook seemed inexperienced. Constantly dropping things. Not very funny. Very small portion sizes. I've been to other Hibachi grills where 2 shrimps AND noodles are also included in the dinner. The food had some flavor but nothing to make me want more. Then to top it off, as I walk into the bathroom a waitress comes out of a stall and walks right past me. She did NOT stop to wash her hands. Gross!! I for one will not be going back. What a pleasant surprise!! We kept saying we wanted to try this restaurant but never go in the area until today. It's was about 1:30pm not a crazy lunch crowd and a good amount of more private (booth) seating. There was a small group in the Hibachi area celebrating a birthday and we can definitely hear that they were enjoying themselves. The chef was really enthusiastic and going the extra mile entertaining the small crowd, to the point where we wanted to go over there and sit with them (but corona). I would have given 5 stars however the place was unusually dark. Just enough lighting over your table to see your food. The food; we ordered spring roll appetizer, came out fast and was plated elegantly with some type of sauce. We ordered two a few different types of sushi and they were phenomenal. All the different flavors and sauces just take over your pallet. Just a great overall experience, and the best part was the price!! Great food, great service, great prices! While I am not very fond of the Monroe dining scene I allow myself the occasional sushi from Fuji. The rolls are reasonably priced and the quality certainly above your average Meijer sushi tray. Today however I could cross off this restaurant as well. I had family in town and upped my already typically large number of rolls ordered, which made it even more disappointing to have the entire order ruined by hopelessly overcooked rice. read more

I can't say enough about the service here! The food is good. The staff is honestly amazing! My husband and I went out for lunch here twice with both of my kids. I have a 2 year old and 11 month old. My 11 month old was whining and crying the entire time. The staff brought over toys to entertain her because she lost interest in her own toys and a ballon that was shaped into a dog. It was so sweet! We ordered chicken and fries for my 2 year old and they cut up the chicken so we didn't have 2. My husband and I enjoyed sushi and the seafood soup.
