Insane gem in Toledo. I do have to say "no, SERIOUSLY" when I talk about this spot to friends and…read moream generally met with (understandable!) skepticism that sushi in the Midwest could be so phenomenal. 6/5 stars. The omakase is a must experience for any foodie and especially for anyone who loves sushi & yakitori! Came here for the first time 4 years ago, and again a few weeks ago. What struck me is that the same head sushi chef was there then and now and that they haven't really changed the menu too much. Yes absolutely there were new and creative twists, but there are tried and true staples which have been mastered. That feels like their vibe overall - friendly, neighborly, confidence in what they have and will keep doing what they're doing, seemingly resisting any pressure to expand or get bigger. It's perfection! The omakase menu has three phases: chef's kitchen, yakitori, sushi (gorgeous nigiri courses finished with the most insane cut roll I've ever had). Everything is delicious. No misses. My favorite phase is the sushi. We STARTED that off with the most melty buttery otoro. I thought that was bold, surely it could only go downhill from there. I was proved wrong bite after bite!! Seriously, imagine a series of nigiri bites that hold their own after the BEST. Of the yakitori, the chicken meatballs were my fave, so juicy never change. Highest quality, well crafted, expertly executed menu. Lowkey I also love that this omakase ends with the most delicious cut roll, and not dessert. As a savory girl through and through, this is perfect. The onlyyyy downside is that all the rich food gives me a bit of a stomachache afterwards :D. 10000% worth it.

Not your average sushi joint! Even the common sushi rolls are made from scratch and are fantastic!…read moreGood service but loud in the very small establishment. A restaurant with food this good needs a bigger seating area plan on waiting, but it will be worth it.

We came here for the sushi and stayed for the drinks. We…read morehad a brisk day and we weren't feeling the hibachi table so we took a table in the bar area. We started with some tuna sashimi and a rainbow roll. They were delightful! Then we all shared some hot sake and wow was it delicious! I was very impressed with the flavor and the price of our food and drinks. Great spot for sushi and drink even though it's know for the hibachi!

It was ok. Service was ok, but nothing great. Waitress came around and dropped off 2 drinks but…read morewe never saw her again for a water refill. 2 of us ordered the filet mignon and shrimp $43 each and 1 ordered the Imperial center cut filet mignon for $10 more. Specifically inquired before ordering and was told center cut and 2 oz more. When they went to cook it, we ordered all 3 medium rare. The cook put all 3 steaks together on the hibachi and cooked them to medium- bordering on medium well done. Then he divided the steak up between the 3 of us giving 1 person a few more pieces I guess because it was the Imperial. I advise you to skip the Imperial as it's not the center cut filet mignon. When the bill came and they boxed left overs up, they offered yum yum sauce which we asked for. Was given empty containers, never came back with sauce. Wasn't acknowledged by the 3 women at the desk when we left. All in all average. Not friendly, but not rude. Just indifferent, and not overly attentive. My son does

The chef was very entertaining and did a great job keeping the boys engaged the whole time. They loved watching the cooking and all the tricks at the table. The food was really good and exactly what you would expect from a hibachi-style restaurant. Everything came out hot and tasted great. Overall, it was a fun family experience, and we're glad we went. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Fun experience! We…read moremade reservations and arrived on time. The entrance was a bit chaotic with people waiting for tables and other people picking up carry out. Once seated our waitress was very attentive getting drinks and taking orders. They brought out the mushroom soup and she even brought ice cubes for the kids to cool down their soup. The next course is the ginger salad. After the starting course the chef comes over to cook on the main grill for the hibachi experience. The cooking is enjoyable to watch and they make it fun for the table with interactions. The food overall was good. They give you great portion sizes. I felt like they put too much sauce on the meat, rice and vegetables. It felt like a sodium overload and I didn't even really want to use the side sauces since everything was already overloaded.
