The food is so good here and the waiters are so nice! I love this restaurant their tacos are so good!

Toro Loco Mexican Restaurant offered exceptional food with excellent service. I was meeting up with a lifelong friend who I had not seen in years. It took us nearly 30 minutes to place our order because we could not stop talking LOL. Our server was very patient and kept checking in on us to see if we were okay. My chicken and beef taquitos were so tasty and served streaming hot. The meats were cooked perfectly and the sauce was divine! The chips and salsa were also fresh and yummy. You could tell the salsa was homemade and the chips were warm. Our server was pleasant and very attentive even though we were eating during the Friday night dinner rush. I was worried before arriving that I would have an issue finding a place to park as the restaurant is in the downtown Ironton area. But I was pleasantly surprised to find a spot on the same block as a restaurant. I would absolutely eat here again when I'm in town and would recommend that others try them if you have not already. read more

I want in on cinco de mayo eve. You could just tell the anticipation was building to a fever pitch. I meekly asked "what is your wifi password?" The manager, i guess, yells "PASSWORD?? PASSWORD???? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING PASSWORDS". He smiled and I remembered him working at Grayson's KY Toro Loco. "Actually the password is password" he retorted in a very professional tone. I got my usually. He remembered it from Grayson. Very stunned. I think he is a manager now but I'm not certain. Great guy. Good place to eat. I like its downtown location. I watch outside the window. I remember how Ironton was a teenage Mecca to us. Things change.. Except Roberto. He's awesome. read more

Service has been hit and miss lately. Some of the regulars aren't there. They always knew our orders before we sat down. Very friendly. The food is always excellent, and the portion size is unreal compared to other local Hispanic cuisine. It's so much food. Pollo Bandito is my go to. read more

Stopped in at Toro Loco while we were staying in Ironton Ohio looking for some good Mexican food. When we arrived a young girl looked at me from about 20 feet away said something grabbed some menus and proceeded to walk away. I hesitantly walked forward to find she was indeed seating us. The gentleman taking our order brought us the wrong drinks. The water tasted terrible. I'm not sure what was wrong with it but my husband agreed it had a funky taste. I ordered a frozen margarita with salt. When it arrived there was no salt and the drink itself was really sub par. I will say my fajita burrito tasted delicious. The service was less than desirable and the environment was terrible. There was rap music playing from the bar area that you could hear throughout that made it feel like a club setting. Ok so very nice welcoming staff, five stars for them. Kids loved tacos both soft and hard shell chicken and beef both good. But, my enchilada cheese was thick and not warm, so sort of hard, and my personal preference is a more red enchilada sauce this was darker more brown not as sweet as I like. We were driving back to Columbus & wanted Mexican. We found this place. The salsa was just the way we like it - chunky & not too spicy. The chips were wonderful, thin & crispy. I ordered the molcajete which included chicken, pork, ribeye, chorizo, & shrimp meats for the price of $16.99. My husband had chimichanga mexicanas for the price of $10.50. The soda was good and the cost was $2.20/person with free refills. The booth was comfortable but the original seat was a hard bench & it was not. Service was great and they were always asking if everything was OK. I was disapponted in the molcajete as the meats were not cut into strips but each was a thin wide piece of meat. This made it difficult to cut in the stone bowl. Also it had minimal flavor because there was no mole sauce. However, my husband's food was fantastic as he shared some with me and he also agreed it was excellent. Overall the food was good to great depending on what you order. Stick with the tried and true and you won't go wrong. As for parking, there is a small lot to the side of the business but also street parking. The inside was clean except for the hallway to the bathroom, which was sticky. Since we were there on a Sunday there was no Alcohol sales. It was easy to find and not too far off the expressway. We ate here during the Rally on the River. The salsa and chips were really good. We wanted to order margaritas, but, the waiter stated they only had a license to serve beer. My husband ordered a draft beer and I ordered a Corona. The salsa was fresh with a thicker consistency and just the right amount of spice. Each one of us received our own bottle of salsa and bowl, which I thought was a nice touch. The chips were crisp and fresh. We split one order of the steak and shrimp fajitas. There was a nice mix of peppers and onions along with the steak and shrimp. Our waiter was attentive and provided us refills on our drinks and chips without us having to ask. The total for our meal with tip was approximately $25. The restaurant looked clean inside and out. Overall, it was a good experience and we would definitely return. My only issue/question is why they do not answer their telephone. We called several times and know others who attempted calling to place orders for food. No one ever answered the telephone. read more
