It honestly felt like they only want to interact with you if you're already enrolled in a class. If the studio is only open to students, just say so instead of putting out signs that make it seem open to the public. Sarcastically, I joked to myself that if I looked like a drug dealer, someone probably would have run to the door. Instead, I was just ignored. Very disappointing experience and a waste of time.

The owner's dog is also super sweet. I painted a pottery, didn't make it from scratch but picked the unpainted one from the shelf and paint it. They have special colors that can make very pretty texture and requires no skill whatsoever. It's very relaxing and fun. They'll fire it for you in 1-2 weeks, then send a text for pick-up. It's a long drive from me but the pottery I got is really worth it!

The girls all had a blast and they all left with two slimes they made themselves. There are so many themed kids and adult parties you can choose from. I contacted the owners, Terri and Sarah, and they were so incredibly gracious! They invited me over to check out the space. I really like the layout of this art studio because it's divided into different sections/rooms. One room would be where the kids do their sketching, and then another room is where the kids would take their sketching to go paint. The third room is where you can put all the food for your party and they have an awesome patio area that's right next to the food room where parents can also hang out while the kids can sketch and paint for the instructor in the other rooms. There were 19 kids total and it was so nice not to have the parents stand behind their kiddos the entire time to watch them paint because there's no where to go!! All of the parents told me they had NO IDEA this place existed. Because it's on Artesia , which is quite a busy street that people take to get from one place to the next it's really not the kind of place that people stroll around on. Sarah and Terri will work with you on what kind of theme/ sketch to guide the kids. It was an amazing party! Everyone loved it! And my daughter said it was the best birthday ever! Yay! Success! SBAD focus on a different topic/theme each day so the children have plenty of time to be creative and really think about what they would like to make. My daughter, aged 7 loved going each day and came home with some stunning pieces of art. She also LOVED the teachers who are not only skilled artistically, but are genuinely kind people who make all the children feel welcome and at home. This is the only camp (ever!) that my son and daughter have attended and been very grumpy that I only booked one week! Needless to say, we will be returning for the Thanksgiving camp!

This incident occurred back in April, but I felt it was still critical to share my experience so…read moreother parents are aware. Especially if you plan on enrolling for the last class of the day. During a lesson scheduled from 7:00 to 7:30 PM, my daughter was sent outside unattended to look for my car because the instructor claimed I was "late." By 7:31 PM, she was already standing outside next to my vehicle. Not only does this mean she was not receiving the full instructional time we paid for, but sending a child outside into a parking lot without confirming a parent is present is a major safety hazard and a breakdown of proper release procedures. When I emailed management twice to raise these serious safety concerns and request an immediate cancellation, I never received a reply, an apology, or even an acknowledgment that my emails were received. Instead, I just got a cold, generic notification that the classes were canceled. To make matters worse, no refund was ever issued for the lost instructional time or the abrupt cancellation due to their safety oversight.

I am an architect and was extremely impressed on the diverse projects given to my five year old…read moregranddaughter. The kids start out with open play (play-doh, coloring w markers and crayons, a building station and painting), transition to storytime, and then end with an art project of the day that they can take home. The best is I don't have to worry about paint, glue, or markers getting all over my house or set-up/clean-up. Yay! The teachers are also really good. Miss Chelsea is our absolute favorite- my daughter talks about her all week and cant wait to see her every art class. I definitely recommend this class for kids 18months and up- and especially if you are a mom who hates cleaning up messes like me haha
