We stayed here three nights. We didn't enjoy the onsite amenities or restaurants because we were busy sightseeing all day. All I can say is that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Front desk and valet staff were friendly. We picked this hotel because of it's location. About an hour's drive to Disneyland and a few minutes from Long Beach and LAX. If your in town for an LA Galaxy game or NFL game, Sofi and Dignity Health are also near. There are also plenty of good restaurants and breweries nearby, not to mention the Del Amo Fashion Center is across the street. read more

I have been going to Torrance Marriott for years for various events. Their ballroom is huge and spacious. From attending different expos to business dinners, the venue is great! From the dinners I have attended here, I have also enjoyed the food. It is not surprising that the food served at the ballroom is good because the restaurant at the Torrance Marriott is also quite a good spot. 21 Square is the main hotel restaurant. I've gone to this restaurant for brunch and dinner (including Thanksgiving!) The service and food has always been on point. Overall, I've always had a positive experience at the Torrance Marriott and think it's a great spot to go to for dinner or events! read more

Nice Marriot fairly close to Redondo Beach but definitely need a ride as it's not close enough to walk. The service is good. My checkin was met with a friendly smile and the lady politely answered my questions. The premier lounge served a very good breakfast with steal cut oatmeal, good variety of salad and eggs/sausage combinations, juices including grapefruit, etc. Also got to know one of the attendants and she treated me like her son, totally taking care of me and joking around. My room was nice with a comfy bed. I also had a good view from the 16th floor. The bathroom had a nice combo shower head with good water pressure. About the only semi-complaint is that the fitness center was smaller with old equipment and weights. Overall a great stay. read more

The parking is annoying. Of course they charge a ridiculous fee $42 a night. They do not provide direct access from the garage. You have stairs and an elevator so if you are handicap and there are no handicap spaces left, you would have to be dropped off and somehow get your car over to the other side, valet I suspect for an even heftier charge. It would not be easy or cost effective. The design and planning is lacking. They do have an EV charging station. I attempted to use it, but the app kept saying 'the app is outdated and needs to be updated'. I had the latest version because I downloaded the app only seconds before that. I went through all the prompts and they had me enter all my information, and then when charging my credit card that's when I got the error message. I tried it several times with every pay option that was offered, and it was the same error. My phone is up to date, as is the new app. I gave up. No one was using the stations except the one that was free. Missed opportunity for that "business". The lobby is very nice, spacious and clean. There is a Starbucks as well as a full-service bar and restaurant. Across the street there is a Phjilz coffee and many other restaurant choices. The grounds are very lovely. There are a lot of spaces outside to enjoy. It's right next to a very busy road, but they play music to drown it out. Also upside, the Del Amo Mall is next door, a 2 minute walk away. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. Although you can hear everything in the hall through the door. You literally can hear doors clicking open and shut, down the hallway. There is a blinking carbon monoxide detector and it's quite obnoxiously set right by the bed so when you're falling sleeping, you have a very bright flash-like light systematically illuminating the room. And then someone so kindly set the alarm at an obnoxious 5:30 AM. It seems like this should be on the list of things for the maid to check, as guest do not typically set these or know how to operate the alarm. Most ppl use their cell phones. I think the worst part about my stay was that when I called to talk to the Front Desk about these things I was met with "Karen" attitude, non-empathetic or understanding that my sleep was nonexistent and I had an all day and night conference. That's the worst. I look forward to staying in a hotel with black out curtains and comfy beds. I was dissatisfied. read more

Every time I'm here, I know that I can expect to have an amazing stay. This is consistently one of the best Marriott properties I have stayed at. The lobby and premises are all modern and well-kept, and the rooms are always clean. They are modern, comfortable, and well-lit. The beds are also extremely comfortable as to be expected for a Marriott property. Breakfast here is absolutely fantastic for a hotel breakfast. Additionally, the hotel restaurant consistently delivers outstanding quality food for dinner. I would strongly recommend any of the flatbreads, followed up by the churros for an amazing desert. The gym here is also well maintained and has a great variety of equipment. I commend Marriott for delivering consistently outstanding service and the best possible customer experience with every stay, and I look forward to my next stay at a Marriott property. read more

Overall the hotel is good. Our ADA room featured a truly superior and intelligent layout that worked well. The beds were overly soft however and the excessively tall pillows left us all with sore backs. The bed all looks nice but provides poorly. The pricing in general was truly excessive. $40+ per day for parking? $20 breakfast burrito. Maybe it is a sign of the times but ... Speaking of ADA, the bathroom on the first floor which serves the broader public and meeting rooms has the empty screw holes of a missing hand rail in the wheel chair toilet stall making it unusable. The multiple screw holes with differing alignments suggest that this may be a chronic problem that should have been addressed properly long ago. This needs immediate attention. read more

Well I'm going to go with 4 stars this visit but let me go with the positive first , as I've rated this hotel many times I'll keep this update short Positive Friendly staff always smiling and happy Pool is in good condition Room is comfortable Comp on the parking that is now 30+ a night The not so positive this trip It is impossible to ever get upgraded here No lounge access with Gold status Could not combine back to back reservations So the positive is obvious let me explain the not so positive In a hundred nights or so here not one upgrade , they do have few suites but it is impossible This year due to Covid and reduced travel dropped from platinum to gold , although this next year with about 20 more night will be lifetime platinum (600 nights and 10 years at that level) so this is the only Marriott I've ever experienced not to give lounge access to gold members , bummer They did comp the parking that now is over 30 a day and still free Wi-Fi for gold members so for sure a 4 star The final thing was back to back reservations which was one night and then two , and told I need to check out and back in. Although the front desk said they could not be combined to avoiding all that hassle , I did combine last trip when I ended up booking two reservations back to back. So little inconsistent in what can and can not be done. But my check in person was super nice and professional, I see this as more of a hotel issue not the staff So overall I love this hotel and have many many nights here , but next time will go to Residence Inn across the street. See the little things matter and make you consider other places. But so sure will be back here next year and I do recommend this Marriott, but it is much nicer stay at platinum level :) read more

Torrance Marriott, canceled our reservation of the month with only two hours notice. We did not know it till we arrived. Then they would not comp for another hotel nearby, even though it was a Marriott. We were under enormous stress that day and had a very tight time schedule. we had to get back on the freeway during rush hour to find a hotel in Long Beach. This was nightmarish end to a difficult day. The manager treated us very rudely and did not consider that we were elderly and had health issues. We will never consider this place again read more

This is our favorite hotel. We stay several times a year while visiting our children and grandchildren. The outdoor space and pool are lovely but the best part is the people! My husband works from LA for a week each month, and I usually travel with him to visit my clients and work from the hotel grounds. It has taken us several tries to find the space that suits our needs, and this hotel often fits the bill. My favorite thing about this hotel is the restaurant staff. Jacqueline and Yen keep me company for breakfast and lunch, and the evening staff is equally friendly, albeit usually too busy to chat. Being sick and in a hotel is a special kind of hell, and when I've fallen ill, they have taken great care of me. Often, other remote staffers who work with my husband also stay here, so we end up with a small group of rooms. Several nights, we all met in the bar/restaurant for good food and excellent service. I have noticed over the years that the staff doesn't have a lot of turnover, which indicates they are treated well and that management is fair. read more

Overall, very nice place to stay. The hotel is located within walking distance to a major shopping mall, so definitely is a plus. Most employees are very nice, courteous, and helpful. Hat's off to the valet attendants. Very positive gesture for offering bottle waters to residents without being asked! Yes, as some Yelp reviewers stated, the soundproof of the rooms were subpar because we could hear kids playing in the adjacent room late at nights, or people slamming the doors throughout the days & nights. Nowadays, it is practically impossible to find a flawless lodging. Stayed here for 3 nights for a business trip! My company booked the hotel for me, and there was a bit of confusion during check-in--I wasn't supposed to pay anything for the hotel + deposit, but the front desk kept trying to make me pay. However, I called my co-worker who checked in before me and said he didn't have that problem. I refused to pay and said that I'll just wait. Their supervisor cleared me, and I finally got my keys after a 15 min wait...so that experience made me a bit wary of the front desk during my whole stay. Nonetheless, elevators are quick to be available and establishment is clean. My room was cleaned everyday! Towels and toiletries were refreshed and changed. I was really impressed by their cleaning staff. It wasn't noisy either. I was glad it was at a good location with many walkable places. read more

They did a really nice job with the remodel on this hotel; the rooms inside are very swanky, and nicer than an average Marriott. Huge mall right across the street with lots of dining and shopping options, everything walkable. The service was good, if you are Elite you get free breakfast AND a $25 food and beverage credit. Breakfast was decent, and I had the tacos for lunch one day which were good. The gym was nice, the pool looked nice but small. The only complaint is the parking which is almost $40 / day. The mall supposedly does not allow overnight parking, and street parking is very limited unless you hike a little bit. Overall, I would definitely stay here again but if you can rely on Uber you can save yourself some parking $s. read more

Went to a 2-day conference here. The facility was very pleasant, and the lunch they presented was fabulous. Tuna salad, egg salad, potato salad, sliced turkey, roast beef, 4 kinds of bread/rolls with all the condiments, homemade potato chips, and oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. The coffee was very weak but oh well. They had decaf, and hot water for tea. There's a minimal Starbucks in the entryway, so I just went and got myself a real coffee, tall double latte with one Splenda. The meeting room was the ballroom, 2 rooms opened up together. My only complaint (which probably applies to most meeting spaces) is that the chairs didn't have arms. I find it very tiring to sit for 6 hours of talks with no arms on the chairs. At least there were tables, so you could lean forward and rest when you wanted to. The sound system was not the greatest. The voices were a little fuzzy unless the speakers really spoke up. With most of the speakers, the audience was calling out "louder." The mikes didn't seem to have enough power, or weren't turned up loudly enough. My friend had rented a room so we took our lunch up there and I got to see the room. Very minimal and small, but pleasant. Bed seemed comfortable. There was a small couch with a little side table, and a desk type thingy. The daily price was $234. Guess that's about par for the course. It must have been one of the lower end rooms, as other reviews I have read talked about balconies and views of the pool. Parking was easy and there is a whole row of disabled parking right across from the entrance. Valet quick and easy, $10. It's a bit of a drive from the Redondo Beach Blvd exit off the 405, but you end up on Hawthorne Blvd which is dreary, but wide open. Not a bad place for a seminar. read more

My son has autism and when he loves something, he loves it hard. He turned 6 this past weekend and when we asked him what he wanted to do, he said he wanted to "stay at the hotel by dennys and the mall with the big grass to play" we knew he meant the Torrance Marriott as that has been his birthday request for his past 2 birthdays so it's become our tradition for his birthday weekend. I called a few days prior to let them know we were celebrating his birthday and to see if there was anything they can do to make him feel a little special since he loves it so much. I was thinking they might leave a note or maybe a small treat for him, but nope, they went above and beyond, leaving him balloons, cookies and a basket of treats and toys. I was almost in tears and he was SO happy! He's slept with the stuffy every night since and keeps talking about wanting to go back to that hotel again and we've only been gone 2 days lol thank you Torrance Marriott for making my boy feel so special for his birthday. Pleasantly surprised with the Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach hotel. Honestly, I expected the hotel to be small. It turned out to be quite large and spacious. It was not right off the freeway which was fine. It was conveniently located right across from the Del Amo Mall which was awesome. Staff was good especially the gentleman who was working down at the lounge when we had our breakfast.l The room was terrific for the most part. Wonderful amenities. Very clean. Was a bit disappointed with the bed, though. It was not as comfortable that we are used to at Marriott hotels. Still, we slept fine the one night we spent at this hotel. Overall, it was a good stay. This is by far my favorite hotel! This suite is spacious, beautiful, and has an amazing layout. The best part is that the doors open to the balcony! While the balconies are not all that impressive, the fact that the doors open to allow the breeze in is AMAZING! Especially since most hotels make it impossible to open doors or windows. I love the laminate flooring as it makes the room feel very clean, and the overall aesthetics of the room is very inviting and functional. Unfortunately the Marriott of Torrance fails to deliver the quality it used to, due to poor management. Especially pertaining to the bar area in particular. Two of the female bartenders experienced on two separate occasions, were definitely not about being hospitable in the least, leaving a lot to be desired. read more

This is a beautiful hotel and we loved the rooms here. Unfortunately, our recent stay wasn't great bc our shower drain was clogged starting the first night. There were also ants in our room, on the 17th floor!??? CONS -shower drain clogged our first night. We called the front desk on our last night to let them know and they offered to have a plumber come to our room to check. But we told them no bc it was already so late, we were ready for bed & didn't want to wait up not knowing how long the plumber would show up. -noticed ants in the bathroom. Next day more ants. -wish both night stands of bed had charging ports PROS -great location -beautiful and clean hotel -offer hand sanitizer and wipes at elevator -safe & secure -great food selection and breakfast offered -extremely friendly staff and ppl at front desk -comfortable bed -nice bathroom -nice balcony -nice big smart tv with Netflix I always love the Marriott and would stay here again. I think yelp is a strange place to review hotels, but my boyfriend and I had recently ended our 10 day stay at this Marriott and we had just a pleasant experience. To start, we checked in the day of the hurricane brushed through LA. The staff was so courteous they even let us check in early. Throughout our stay, everything was flawless. The room itself is clean, modern, and a great value for the price. The staff is kind, and really delivers on small delights that make the whole experience. For instance, the valet always has cold water ready for you or the bartenders will give you an ice bucket to take your wine up to the room. Pool was nice since it was indoor/outdoor covered & pet friendly. They offered EV charging but only 1 or the 3 were working and were no help from Valet parking who demanded a tip rather than try to help with EV charging. Great Lobby and Outdoor fun area here. This big, spacious hotel is located directly across the street from the Del Amo Fashion Mall in Torrance. The area is clean and safe with lots of businesses, restaurants and shops nearby. Lots of covered parking here. The lobby area and indoor/outdoor bar area with fire pits everywhere was very well done. It was a welcoming and relaxing environment to have a cocktail and chat with friends. There is a Starbucks on the ground floor close to the elevator. The Starbucks has a great outdoor patio area also with fire pits. It's was very nice. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and sufficient and deserve 3.5 stars. Overall, this is a great property with lots of space and conference area. Its ideal for big conferences and special events. Staff was very friendly and welcoming on property. Check in was very fast and efficient. Valet parking was attentive and was a nice touch. Had the yummiest breakfast at this Marriot. Yummo! The eggwhite frittata along with the breakfast potatoes and sourdough bread was delish. The breakfast was not on the house but Marriot has such a refreshing property, you enjoy the breakfast outside in the veranda and the food is delicious and will keep you full for a while. We requested double beds upon arrival and even though we paid for king bed, the front desk receptionist was really nice and upgraded us to the double bed room. They also waived our parking charges (best customer service, Hilton take notice!). The hotel has been newly renovated and the rooms are comfy along with the bathroom being stocked with the most delish smelling bath and bodyworks amenities which we stocked up on upon leaving (its the little things that matter sometimes). They were also very quick to respond whenever we needed something and the hotel is just great to just chill in, go to the pool area and enjoy the airy veranda area Only con: the gym is pretty smug despite being stocked with the essential machines and hand sanitizer dispensers/water coolers. The machines were dusty and seemed to not have been either in use (i guess we are the only psychopaths to workout on holiday. I blame hard 75 for that). That was the only con we noticed. Otherwise, the hotel was fabulous and had great customer service. read more

Recently went to the Marriott for a little vacation. At first, we were hopeful that the weekend would be relaxing and stress free. Upon arrival, everything seemed to go well checking in and arriving to our room. Parking was very confusing. Even with a keycard, we were unable to gain access into the parking lot and had to pay multiple times when it was already included in the cost of the room. No one at the front desk mentioned that parking was "free". The cost of parking was included in our bill, but we were not told this until we received the final bill. In the room, the water pressure was very low in the shower when the hot water came out. Our refrigerator also never worked even after turning on and off the switch inside. On top of all of this, the "free" wifi is $15. The A/C works, but it switches to the heater at 73°. And no military discounts. With all of this said on top of paying the full price, I would not recommend staying here. Thank you for making our decision to stay at a different hotel in the future easier. read more

We purchased a Resort Pass and It was really relaxing and enjoyable at the Torrance Redondo Beach Marriot. My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday afternoon and didn't leave until 9pm. Nelly who was one of the hotel staff took extra care of us. Her customer service was terrific! We got a few complimentary drinks and she provided us with hot towels and pool gear like goggles and floaties. She is awesome and we're so lucky that we came on a Sunday afternoon. read more

For the price, I would have expected more. The room was OK, but not nearly as nice as most of the lower brands within Mariott. The air conditioning in the room didn't work, so I had to sleep with the patio sliding door open each night. And the nickel-and-dime items like $28 parking and $15 super-slow internet were incredibly annoying. But more than anything, I hate that I could hear every sound coming out of the room next to me because there is no sound barrier. I know exactly how mercilously the hemorrhoids of the man in the room next to me were stinging his ass, and that is not something I ever wanted or needed to know. read more

Very professional and clean place to stay. Excellent service and location. It's the convenience that we were looking for and found that every place was within walking distance to/from the hotel. Del Amo Fashion Center is a huge shopping mall across the street. We usually cut through and enter from Nordstrom. Our favorite is the Mitsuwa Japanese grocery store attached to the mall which had it's own authentic Japanese foods inside the food court. Restrooms at the mall was super clean too! It felt 3x larger than the malls in the San Francisco Bay Area for sure. There's a $1 bus ride to/from LAX-airport if you are on Hawthorne Blvd. Yes, we rode on that bus and it was super clean with great people riding too. Nothing ghetto or abnormal. Lots of retail stores and grocery stores (including the Korean ones) all walkable distance and not too far from the hotel. Uber/Lyft pick up/drop off area was conveniently located outside in front. It felt very safe to wait for rides there. Staff is always on duty and friendly. Starbucks across from the lobby. I actually had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed touring the city of Torrance. Sheets were clean. Towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner were stocked up. Huge mirror inside the room too. I can see from head to toes! Room felt very private as it wasn't facing the busy parking garage or shopping mall side. Nice. Great place for people who love to walk or jog around. Great foods everywhere. This hotel was the perfect choice. Otherwise, Residence Inn further down would have been where we would have stayed. Love Marriott. It's great being a Marriott Bonvoy member with a Chase Bonvoy credit card. Lots of rewards and perks. Pricing is not a problem when value is present. Front desk staff members were very helpful too. Location was one of the best and most convenient that we have experienced. We will be back during our next visits again. Restaurants are great for foodies. Torrance is really a great break in between LAX and Long Beach if you're there. 12-15 minutes car ride to/from these places, and probably 20-25 minutes with traffic. read more

Our family adores Marriott; this stay was no exception! The room was immaculate with a coffee maker, hairdryer, refrigerator and ironing board. Everything necessary for business travel. The basement has 24 hr. laundry available for hotel guests, a fitness center, jacuzzi and an indoor/outdoor pool. The kids spent hours in the pool! There was also a gorgeous fire place to sit and chat at and a large chess set. Lots of fun to challenge friends to a game. If you're into reading, there's a little lend-a-book nook just off the restaurant patio. So cute! The lobby is always picture perfect and has the friendliest faces thee to assist if there is anything needed. We were able to steal a few minutes away and shoot a lovely interview with a beautiful background and very little background noise. Valet is always at the ready; there is a small convenience store next to the concierge for any necessity from laundry soap to a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream! The grounds were immaculate and the first floor bar was a fabulous place to congregate... but that's another review! read more

Their space is large and full of nice pockets of seating areas that all contribute to a different experience. You can gather around the long fire pit that's a thing of beauty in itself, or enjoy a more private setting at a 4-top with your own heater. 5/5 Crispy Shrimp $13.00 came in full of flavor, crunchy and the salsa had a nice kick to it. 5/5 House Made Chips with guacamole and salsa $11.00 were really fresh, not stale. Salsa had a nice light kick to it too. I asked for more chips the server was more than happy to obliged. 5/5 Service was stellar and we really enjoyed our evening there for some great conversations and catching up. They weren't really too busy at the time we went, but all of the staff was super friendly, making you feel right at home. A night's stay at this hotel was $250.00 which makes it a great place to spend the night without breaking the bank. I stayed here on business and chose this location due to the proximity of work and enjoyed the 5 minute commute. I arrived late in the evening and chose valet parking for $25 instead of the $23 self-parking. I had an easy check-in process and found my room to be nice and cold, just how I like it. This place is located in close proximity to the Del Amo Mall. The room was a standard marriott room with a coffee maker, hair dryer and a safe. I was happy that there was an iHome to plug my iPod into so I can play music while I sleep. The bed was not that comfortable but I was only here for two nights. I did not spend much time in my room. Upon check-out I was was thanked for being an Elite member and had an easy check out. Upon reviewing my bill a few days later I noticed that I was charged for internet. As a Silver Member, basic internet is supposed to be free. I also noticed that 500 points were not added to my account for not having my room cleaned. 2.5 stars! read more

Terrible Experience - Security Lapses at the Marriott My recent stay at the Marriott was an absolute disaster, and I feel compelled to warn potential guests about the serious security issues at this hotel. Upon checking in, I was optimistic about my stay, given the hotel's reputation. However, that optimism was quickly shattered. On the second night of my stay, my whole car was stolen in the hotel parking lot. Despite being assured that the parking area was monitored, it was evident that security was grossly inadequate. The hotel's response to the incident was utterly disappointing. The staff showed a complete lack of concern and offered no immediate assistance. They merely pointed me to the nearest police station, displaying a shocking indifference to the distress and inconvenience caused. It was evident that guest security is not a priority for this establishment. There was no offer of compensation or even a sincere apology. I felt abandoned and unsafe, left to deal with the aftermath on my own. This experience has left me with a lasting negative impression of the Marriott. For a brand that prides itself on hospitality, this location falls miserably short. I would strongly advise against staying here if you value your safety and peace of mind. Save yourself the trouble and find a hotel that actually cares about its guests. DONT STAY HERE! Still don't have my car and Marriott is fighting to even pay for my Uber ride home. read more
