Some of these reviews are baffling. I've stayed here twice. On both occasions, the workers were super-nice and the rooms were clean. Once I lucked out with a two-room suite, once I got a small room, so if you want the Ritz-Carlton Presidential Suite this may not be your spot. As always, I can't comment on breakfast and don't even know if they have breakfast but you're visiting California so enjoy some fine local cuisine (stay tuned for my review of El Burrito Jr.'s huevos rancheros). So first incident incident #1, My girlfriend pulls up in her truck that she just loaded the bed of with things she was taking to her storage and was picking me up to help her, but right after she parked the truck in the parking lot of the hotel because she came to my door to get me at the same time as she's walking up to my door the property manager is walking up to my door and says as I open the door to her he says " hi can you please look for somewhere else to stay for now on and cancel ur reservation for the following days here" because he said that the owner called him because he states that he just lost some potential guest that they requested a refund because they pulled up to the property and said they saw her really super nice truck filled with stuff in the back and that they now felt un safe and so I told the property manager that she will move the truck because we were literally just about to go to storage to empty all of it in her storage and that it won't be a future problem so he reluctently said ok fine that I could stay . So that was the first red flag, saying that the truck filled with stuff makes it look like the homeless are staying their and that the guest feel unsafe for that reason even though the truck was filled with very expensive items and is a really nice truck he claimed he didn't want people to be afraid of homeless staying their which is not the case because we're not homeless. Ok fast forward to the second week I stayed their, so I had my car parked their and my gf had her car parked in the parking lot as well, the property manager comes to me and tells me why do I have two cars parked at the hotel? He says only one car parked at the hotel allowed per room. I said really? That's completely ridiculous that I and my gf can't have our cars both parked in the hotel parking lot when we're both staying their. He said if one of us doesn't move our cars that he will have to ask us to leave and find somewhere else to stay so I said ok I'll move one of the cars across the street which was very inconvenient to say the least. Then the 3rd week came and he came to me saying that the maids said their was a bit of little hair on the bed which I had just cut my hair and laid down for a minute and so some hair get in the bed but he states to me that theirs no pets allowed and that their not pet friendly their which I told him I haven't had any pets their and explained to him it wont happen again so then on the fourth week he states that some guest there have been complaining on yelp about to much activity going on there, and that they felt un safe, so he told me that the owners looked at the camera footage and saw me putting a box into a car on two separate occasions two days in a row and that it was to much activity and that their sign clearly states no visitors even though they were both relatives of mine that were at the property for no more then 5 minutes picking up some e bikes that I had gotten for my sister and my cousin and literally no more then 5 minutes has gone by before they left the visit literally just consisted of us putting the e bikes in their trucks and saying hello and happy holidays and goodbye thats it but he said the owners told him they don't know what I was doing with "random" people showing up that I was putting boxes in the cars and two days in a row and that's to much activity and that they said they have my id but not my visitors and again they said no visitors allowed because their responsible for everything that happens in the property and they don't have their IDs only mine so they said if I can find another place to stay and I said please can I just give my family their presents for Christmas off the property and not have them come here so it wouldnt be a problem and I could stay at there hotel and he said no sorry the owners just tell me to tell u u need to find some place else to stay that they don't want me there any longer. All I've been was a good customer, paying customer, totally quite, minding my own business and being completely respectfull of their property ,rooms, and to the staff there and this is the treatment I get ????? Yeah might want to think twice about getting a room here for anytime longer then one day or else these bizarre instances will most likely happen to you and your guest or family you have with you there with the property management and owners claiming bizzare things and look for any reason to ask u to please look for somewhere else to stay. They said that once that review came up on yelp about the activity there that that was the end of the line and blamed it on me, well if that review u were upset about which was obviously not a factual review, then how do u like mine? Working in Redondo beach area and has to stay the night. Found this place. Reasonable price and close to the job site. Check in was quick and the gentlemen behind the counter was using COVID restriction. There is Thai restaurant on the premises. I'll make sure to Yelp them after I eat there. The room is cozy. There's a microwave, small fridge, and coffee machine. Water pressure is mediocre but it's okay! I'm only a few blocks from the beach and there is plenty of restaurants nearby. This was a very pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure when I first drove in, but as soon as I opened the door to my room, I felt comfortable. Very clean, quiet, lots of storage. I've been coming here for years every summer with friends for a few days. Great location, the Thai restaurant next to it is great. Always had a clean room and great experience. A few blocks walk to the beach, not a far walk from anything you'd need or the pier. It's nothing fancy, but it's nice. Nice rooms, good a/c, close to the beach and not terribly expensive. I live in LA, but if i want to stay a few days at the beach, I come here. read more

Stayed here for two days! Nov 2-4, 2015. Loved it. Got the two room suite. Out door was under the stairs, was able to park basically right outside our door. It was very clean. Security cameras in the parking lot, very well lit. It is a little tight getting around but it's manageable. Be careful when entering quite a lip on the entrance.(scraped the bottom of our car). The beds were comfy, everything worked. It did come with a nice mini fridge w a freezer, microwave, nice flat screen tv, coffee maker and coffee with ample cups. No hairdryer land no exhaust fan in bathroom. Got really foggy when showering. Water pressure was ok, could have been a little more powerful. The gentleman at the front desk at check in was wonderful, we were a little later than expected when we checked it! But it was seamless and no issues! Very pleasant man and helpful directing us where we were wanting to eat for dinner! The guy at check out, was just as awesome as the first guy, had the same wonderful experience! I really don't have any complaints. I slept very peacefully, the rates were very reasonable. If you're fine with a little walk you're literally about 3 blocks from the beach. Plenty of places within walking distance to eat, shop, coffee and donuts, antique shops. Great little area. Nice pier at Redondo Beach. Most all shops were open, regular fare for the food options(corn dogs, seafood, burgers etc). There was a filming of Supergirl going on the day we were there at the pier! That was a lot of fun! The sites were great for some awesome pics of the wildlife and water! Two thumbs! read more

3.5-4 stars. Blocks away from the beach. Convenient location. The customer service was good. The maids were very friendly and helpful whenever I needed extra towels. Thank goodness for a fridge and microwave. The price was right, booked through Hotwire.com. Hotels.com had this place for $40 more a night. Can't really complain, I don't hang out all day in my hotel room. Parking was fine. I was afraid I was going to have to park on the street when I seen the lot full, but the woman at the front desk assured me there would be parking at night. They share their parking with the Thai restaurant below them, so during dinner time the lot gets packed. Had a good night sleep for the three nights I was there. Cons: bathroom door kept getting stuck or you can say I kept getting stuck in the bathroom. The AC unit made loud noises that sounded like the buzzer when you get the answer wrong on family feud (literally) The sheets gave my mom a rash. I bring my own blankets, I was fine. Oh & ice costs .25 cents so if that bothers you just make sure you bring a cooler to get your money's worth. read more

This was a nice accommodation in Redondo Beach. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. Everyone we encountered was incredibly pleasant. It's very close to the beach and made it easy to have a nice walk in the morning. The area around it is nice and there are some shops and restaurants across the street. The little donut shop is the perfect place to grab a coffee and pastry before a morning walk on the beach! read more

The frist room they checked me into was218 and the fridge was leakingand the floor was wet tried called the office but the phone didnt work. They switched me to the room next door 219. Well it was worse. Cockroachs, broken Furniture, holes, and the fridge in that room was leaking also.. for the price and the extra $100 deposit.... Not worth it.. read more

We stayed here for just one night but we wished it was more... the room was really big and comfortable, a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker were all in the room, the refrigerator was big! I loved the closeness to the beach, just a few minutes by walking. Getting there was really easy and parking was a breeze. Definitely will be coming back! read more

We loved it! The room was nice and clean, the bathroom had a good size and was clean and pleasant as well. Great closet, were we could fit not only one but both of out suitcases. Location is good, close to the beach. Close to a lovely doughnut/sandwichshop called "eat this ". Perfect for breakfast, the best sandwiches. I will give you a warning about the Thai restaurant on the corner though, horrible food. The staff were so nice and helpful. The helpt us print tickets borrowed us a scissor and even helpt us when we forgot the lights on on our car and couldn't start it. They even tried to call us the night before to tell us! If that isn't service, then I don't ot know what is. Would recommend and would come back! read more

Place is a remodeled roach motel. Yes, they've done their best to renovate the rooms with nice TVs but the beds are not comfortable and the bathroom is tiny. We stayed at the "2 bedroom suite" which was more of a living room and a small bedroom. To top it off, the AC unit gave me an allergic reaction which means it was very dusty, needs to be cleaned. I wouldn't say it was worth the $180 I paid for a nights stay, I would be more inclined to stay at a place like this for about $120. Its probably because its close to the beach that they are overcharging for what you get, I'd even suggest getting an air bnb over staying here read more

I've stayed here 2x. Once by choice once by bad luck of the draw using a Hotwire.com special. Neither experience was good. First stay The girl at the front desk double charged my credit card tying up almost $600 of my money for 3 days. I couldn't even get an apology. Room 111 has 3 beds, sleeps 6. They wanted more money for "extra People" and then tried to tell me that I only got one parking spot...we had 3 vehicles. Second time they wouldn't give us a room with 2 beds without shaking me down for another $10 a nite. Miserable people run this hotel and you'd do yourself a favor by staying away. Room cleanliness ehh. Hairs in bathroom. Non smoking room smells- room 111. For $10-15 more, do yourself a favor and stay at the Ramada 2 blocks up, you'll get a free breakfast there too and they are much nicer and grateful for your business at the Ramada. read more

Obviously people who are used to staying in hotels that have room service, would rate this a lot lower but this hotel is great. All I need is a clean room a comfy big bed and close proximity to the beach, and that is exactly what the hotel provides. Sure they could use a few paint touch ups here and there but the staff is SUPER friendly and considerate and they created little nooks for you to sit and relax in. My boyfriend and I spent all day walking back and forth to the Pier and beach and even when I forgot my ID for the bar, we didn't fret because we just walked back and got it from the hotel. As a New Yorker, this is most ideal for me. Again, if you're used to room service and perfectly manicured rooms, you might not enjoy it as much but for me it was great. Rented a suite to go fishing for the weekend. Took a shower and it wouldnt drain! Manager said he could refund me but then i couldnt stay.... At 9pm! $230 and only took $20 off because "he could still rent the room for full price even with no shower" Un-friggin-believable Needless to say im never staying here again read more

My husband and I travel a lot with his work and need to stay in the cheaper motels. Redondo inn and suites is the best workingman hotel we ever stayed in. Management was awesome, the housekeepers did an excellent job. Most workingman motels do not clean your room every day when you're renting by the week, they would if we wanted. I travel with my husband and nothing to do so a lot of times I would clean. This was the first workingman motel that we would leave tips for the housekeepers. Stood here with my bf and we are NEVER coming back. He got the hotel for 2 nights but we only ended up staying one. We wanted to stay near the beach since it's too damn hot n humid where I stay. We figured we would get a decent room WITH AC n hit the beach. Well, The power on our block went out at 6am (they KNEW this was going to happen but failed to let us know) and we didn't have ANY power! I couldn't use the AC or do my hair. I bought food to put in our mini fridge damn it! We went to the front desk and I asked the manager if he knew this was going to happen. (I already knew he did because we went for a walk to find food in the morning n all the businesses had signs on their windows saying their was a scheduled power out from Edison). He said yes, and I told him that means all his employees knew too and they should have notified us! We would've stayed somewhere else in the first place! These people are sneaky n misleading. The manager of the unit does not allow guests even though it is not mentioned in the listing. I tried to talk to the manager when my girlfriend showed up but he was not having it. He was combative and tried to gas light me even there was no mention of no guests in the listing or website. The front desk manager was hostile and aggressive and refused to listen and refused to work things out in civil manner. This ruined my trip. Beware of this place. I got this place as a Hotwire deal and it was really worth it. I had a weekend-long event in Palos Verdes so me and the girlfriend decided to make a weekend of it, and loved how close to the beach it was. It's was also ideal for nearby restaurants, and it was 10 min to my event site. The room itself was big for the both of us, it included microwave and a mini fridge as you can see in some of the pictures, and a nice flat screen TV. The bathrooms were a decent size, and even though the shower was small, it had a tile floor which made it look pretty. The shower head though really sucked, it wasn't all too powerful and it was leaking from the side. For it being a motel style place and it located off PCH, it wouldn't get really loud with the windows shut, which was a relief. If there was a problem I had was that the ice machine cost a quarter to use. I never carry change, and I've never seen a place that charges for ice. I thought that was ridiculous. But with that said, I'd stay here again if I need to and found the cheap rate I did on Hotwire. read more

I stay at Redondo Inn and Suites often as I have business in the area and recommend it highly. The rooms are nice and clean. The people at the front desk and housekeeping are always upbeat, friendly and helpful. It's always been quiet and they seem to attract guests who also appreciate uninterrupted sleep. I'm not sure how they accomplish that but they do. The hotel is exactly between the Redondo Pier and Hollywood Riviera for restaurants and shopping and about a four-minute walk to the beach. I normally don't like to post negative reviews but felt I should warn others with my experience here. The place is a dump and I was shocked that they charge close to $100 for it (and only a shower, not a full bath tub). I paid for a smoking room but there was no ashtray, so I went to the front desk and rang for the person to come and no one came. After about 10 minutes, he showed up coming down the stairs (perhaps a long trip to the restroom?). I told him there was no ashtray and he proceeded to look for a replacement for another 15 minutes before he finally gave me a plastic trash bin with a plastic bag lined in it to use for ashing. I would have let it go with just a poorly managed motel, but I just saw that they charged me an extra $40 for unauthorized charges. I reported it as fraud on my credit card. This is not a motel/hotel , this is a shack. It's probably the worst place I ever tried to stay in. We arrived at the Redondo Inn and Suites and after talking to the owner to check in, the owner asked how many where staying the night in the room we already payed for online. We told him 2 people and that we have friend we were meeting up with was gonna stop by for a hour or 2 and the owner rudely told us that only 2 people where allowed in and out of the room. He did give us a refund and went to a motel 6 where it was much better service and a lot more friendly. I seriously do not recommend to stay here, it's much cheaper and cleaner to stay at a motel 6 if your looking for a short affordable stay in Redondo, CA. They should put on their website no visitors allowed and only 2 people are allowed to even be in the facility at a time. I wish I could give this 0 stars read more

Very nice family run place that is willing to work with you. Gave us the family room for five days when we needed it at a reasonable place. Unfortunately, the place itself didn't really super safe to me despite being in a great location. Lots of smokers right outside your door and you have to sign a form saying you are with your partner/spouse and you won't do illegal activities while you are there. Nice staff. Room was fine. Nothing happened while we were there but I was constantly on edge, especially with my family. Perhaps increased security or some other options might help this place???? Nice managers and they deserve more business!!! read more

I almost stayed in room 114! It was disgusting!! Smelled like someone smoked in it for 20 years! The ac blew out a funky smell and it was dusty and old and the remote of the tv did not work and to top it off the girl who owned it said this is nothing compared to other rooms we have and pulled attitude with me when I complained and was rude! And laughing the whole time. They smell they don't shower I think. It's disgusting hotel! Don't stay here!! Beds are old and uncomfortable too. Way too pricey! read more

We didn't even want to put one star. The lady at the front desk was rude at check in, complained about us having more than one car for a room that sleeps 4. The second we got in the room, we walked into the bathroom and there was pubic hair on the toilet seat. We then found pubic hairs throughout the linens. I called the front desk and she asked if there was one or more pubic hairs!!!! It doesn't matter!! 1 pubic hair is too many for a hotel room that is paid for. She then told me our only option was to come to the front desk and get "clean" sheets ourselves and change our beds ourselves! We were supposed to stay for two nights but had to leave after one, this place is gross and the management is RUDE. read more

Customer service was horrible!! They were very rude and disrespectful! I would not recommend this place to anyone. The rate was decent but not worth the hassle of dealing with rude people! They also don't allow you to have visitors and they check on a regular basis if you have anyone extra in the room. I find this a little absurd when I am the paying customer to tell me who I can have in the room I'm paying for! I have never had such a horrible stay anywhere in my entire life and this is after I left both the wave motel and the Redondo pier in and suites because they were gross as well. However both places were palaces compared to this dump the dishonest management the hookers going in and out of the rooms at all hours the paperthin walls the construction going on in the loud a maid service yelling outside your doors and once again the dishonest rude manager.
