We just bought a new home and are about to renovate seven bathrooms and a large kitchen. Torrco is the ONLY company from which I would never consider purchasing plumbing fittings; here's why: In our last home, we had to gut renovate three bathrooms and almost everything we needed came from Torrco. Unfortunately, they promote a partnership with the high-end American Standard brand, DVX. People, this stuff is absolute garbage. One example: a shower valve and fitting was replaced THREE TIMES by Torrco/DVX and never functioned properly. They finally offered us a full refund. But they wouldn't actually mail the refund check. I was forced to follow up time and again, asking where things stood, either being told it would be resolved "tomorrow" or some other delay tactic. At last, I wrote to the owner/CEO of Torrco (he works out of this location in Waterbury) and explained the whole thing to him. Guess what? No response. So now I understand that everyone who works there is simply following his example: provide a terrible product and then duck responsibility, hoping the customer will grow tired of the runaround. Good CEOs are concerned when a customer is unhappy. Bad CEOs hear a complaint and decide to go golfing. There are so many competing options that you can hardly go wrong by choosing any other supplier than Torrco. Unless, of course, you enjoy being sold crap products that are then followed up with a total lack of customer service. If that's what you like, by all means, call Torrco. read more

We splurged on an amazing bathroom. And the Torrco Design Center made it happen. They were very good at explaining the entire process, from fabrication to installation of our custom shower and vanity top. Tina was our design center advisor and you can tell she cares about helping the customer and it shows in her follow up. I have another bathroom I plan to re-model in the near furture, and you can bet I'll be going back to Torrco. read more

This place is great. The parking lot is huge, though could be hard to get into being downtown Waterbury. They have everything imaginable in stock and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They know their stuff and are professionals, not just high school teenagers looking to make a car payment like the hardware chains that are putting places like this out of business. Torrington Supply is a nightmare. I have had three experiences with the Company and was only able to order on one occasion. There are not enough sales people in the showroom. If you make an appointment, they then tell you that they are double booked and can't help you. The one time that I placed an order, it took months to get the product. In addition, the prices are high. Even though Modern Plumbing is a bit of a drive it is worth it. The service is outstanding from the order to receipt of goods. I have worked with Anita and she spends the time to make sure that you get exactly what you want within your price range. We will use Modern Plumbing when we build our new home. read more

Worst customer service. We purchased supplies for a bathroom remodeling and one part did not fit. It was professionally installed. When we attempted to get advice from the representative and the manager, they simply told us it was installed wrong and did not even want to discuss it. They were not even interested in listening to the situation and giving us advice on what to do. We will never purchase from the company again. read more

I've become accustomed to a lack of customer service in this day and age, but Torrington Supply and its employees have taken apathy to a whole new level. The lack of concern for their customers is apparent from EVERYONE that answers the phone. Not only do they promise deliveries that either happen late or don't happen at all, but they ALWAYS forget something on the order. Specifically we had a boiler delivered to a job site. The truck apparently didn't have a tailgate large enough to get the boiler off the truck. They also didn't have a pallet jack on the truck to even get the boiler from the middle of the truck to the edge. They claimed that they weren't told about these conditions. That could be an excuse, except this was the 3rd and 4th boilers delivered to this site. (The 1st and 2nd they were prepared for). Then to top it off they called and wanted to know if it would be okay if they billed us for the gas and time for the driver for that day since they had to return the next day!! I have been in the Plumbing and Heating Industry in CT for 25 years. Torrington has always had a bad reputation, but this is the worst I've seen. It is a shame that they acquired Litco supply and they are now ruining what was once a very good supply house. My company will be taking are business ($500k per year +) to anyone else. read more

Upon Recommendation from our plumber (who didn't work out, but that's another story) we ordered our entire bathroom from here. Heather helped us throughout the entire process, from browsing their showroom and choosing fixtures, to placing and editing our orders. She was quick to reply and very friendly whether on email or the phone, and despite some mistakes with file attachments, was wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful with all of the products and manufacturers involved. Basically, the service was excellent, better than any other aspect of the remodeling, and we were also able to secure a discount through our contractor. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, is that everything was a little pricey. But then again, bathrooms are expensive, and showrooms trend towards the better quality products. Most importantly, they are also a plumbing supplier, with several locations, and not just a middle-man showroom. So they carry tons of plumbing and fixtures, and can get you almost anything you need. I recommend you visit Torrington Supply for any kitchen or bathroom renovation. read more

I have been relying on Torrington Supply for at least three decades, now, and am very satisfied with the service in all its aspects. The showroom staff, including Dawn, Melissa, and Heather, is knowledgeable about the items they carry, very willing to research products, when needed, and I have found their advice invaluable when selecting appropriate products. They stand behind their sales and their service and promptly address any issues needing attention. From time to time, I have tried other suppliers, but have not found the long-term reliability of Torrington Supply anywhere else. Beyond that, their pricing is very competitive.
