Today I called to take care of my bill and I had the pleasure of speaking to a customer service…read morerepresentative by the name of Theresa she provided the most incredible customer service. I shared with her a concern I had with my space heater how it's making this loud noise I've never heard before she ask me how long I've had the space heaters I said since bought the house 15 years ago She became concerned because the last time they were checked was in 2010 and that's when I bought my home and she encouraged me to have them checked and to update my C02 sensors. I was so grateful to this woman I've never met she and she knew this could be life threatening she cares about her customers. You're the best Theresa and God bless you and your family always.

I transferred service to my name and I should have known right way when they sent my proposal in the wrong name that they were sloppy and careless (exactly what I want in a company that delivers explosive products to my home...). They insisted on doing a leak test, even though they had filled the tanks two weeks before I bought the house. They billed me for the service, but the contractor who was on-site says that they never entered the building and that they never did any work. I called multiple times to ask about the bill and they always said that they would call me back - they didn't. They sent me to their collections department and I kept referring back to the Waterbury and Derby offices to no avail. I finally got so tired of the run around that I just paid the $100. Then they started delivering propane and the real trouble started. Our property has three propane tanks on it that were in my proposal and that they had previously filled and serviced. Hell, their name is plastered on a tank that is 20 feet from my front door... I had negotiated a rate for all three tanks. On delivery, they only offered that rate on my two main tanks and a rate that was 25% higher for the largest tank on the property that was near empty. I disputed the charge with the driver (who is very nice and remembers the former owner and the house from many years of service). The driver said to dispute it with the office. I did dispute it and after many cycles of being on hold I was assured that the rate would be adjusted. It was not. They tacked on late fees and, again, sent it to collections within a month of filling the tank. I disputed it again and was told that it would be adjusted and I agreed to pay the adjusted amount. On two subsequent fills, they billed me at the 25% higher rate. Each time I disputed and they told me they would adjust. They didn't. They sent me additional late fees on the balances that I was told would be credited for overbilling at the incorrect rate. Here we are six months and many hours on hold later. I have already switched to another provider who is local and wonderful (I will post a very positive Yelp review for them next). I am still untangling from the nightmare that was dealing with Suburban Propane. I wish I could leave less than one star. Once I get this resolved and the weather gets warmer I will paint over their advertisement on the tanks near my front door. I wouldn't recommend these clowns to my worst enemies.

The Seymour Oil Company - Beautiful new trucks to deliver your home heating oil and propane. The best part about these trucks, we carry low bio diesel fuel!

However, during the job, the technician had to leave to get parts, and I was still charged for the time he was gone. They ran new lines and were here for almost three hours. The total bill came to about $700. I paid for it, expecting the issue to be fixed. Less than 24 hours later, Friday night, I had no hot water again. I called Saturday morning and explained that the same issue was happening. Instead of standing behind the work they had just completed the day before, I was told it would cost $299 per hour for them to come back out and even look at it. When I spoke with the customer service representative, she argued with me and insisted that I would still have to pay the hourly charge. I explained that they had just been out the day before and charged me $700 to fix the issue, so I was not paying another service fee for the same problem. She said she would check if someone could come out, but I did not receive a call back until later that night. At that point, I had no choice but to start calling other companies to try to get help. In total, I ended up being without hot water for four days, even after paying this company $700 for a repair that clearly did not fix the problem. A company that charges customers hundreds of dollars should stand behind its work, especially when the problem returns less than 24 hours later. Based on my experience, the lack of accountability and the way this situation was handled were extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend others look elsewhere before using this company.

"Be on guard" The company pursued me because I googled…read more"handyman". I booked a Monday and was told it was 99.00 to look, but credited back if you accept the quote. However, last minute on a Sunday, I received a call from a tech that he had one last opening as it was to snow Monday. It was not an emergency, just a broken toilet chain. I just could not reach the tiny piece left at the bottom or use, no rush, no leaks. I have two other bathrooms. Be ware, their $99 quote is NOT inclusive of PARTS!!! It would be $497.00 EXCLUDING his pick up of parts from Home Depot. NOT parts on the TRUCK as I was TOLD. (The booking was really via a call center). Then he had the nerve to say it was a SUNDAY EMERGENCY I never requested Sunday at all. It was my only day off to relax. Roto Rooter advertised 7 days per week and with snow coming on a Monday , I expected my Monday to be pushed to mid week not at 5 pm last minute for a Sunday. I disagreed rejected the high quote and his need to go Home Depot, his time and gas he whined about so I called my friend, as I felt bullied and intimidated because his voice and manner became louder and pushy. In addition, he did not remove dirty boots as I asked him to because my 18 stairs are carpeted in white. By this point it was almost 5 pm. My friend told him "she does not want a rebuilt toilet " which the tech said was all he would do. Raising his voice he began to yell once my friend ( a builder) said "she can buy a new toilet for that". This toilet was not the original-or OLD as he implied it was. The man blew up telling him "you're from Tennessee," prices are a lot less there. I just paid him the 99.00 to get rid of him while my friend was secretly still on speaker listening in. Finally, he left. I called my bank noting he had no date on the so called contract. It was left suspiciously blank. I was advised by my bank to stop payment and to call the police. What a mess. SINGLE WOMEN please AVOID, I fell into accepting a call, then rescheduled to a Sunday when I booked a Monday not from a local Roto Rooter at all . All because the company's name was familiar to me.
