House appetizer plate. Everything was delicious!

Everything we tried here was excellent! Even the bread they gave us when we first sat down. Off the beaten path but packed with locals, slightly more upscale vibe but not uncomfortably so. There were many things on the menu we wanted to try so we'll be going back. Thank you!

This was my first dinner in Milano. It was highly recommended from locals living in the area. The atmosphere was very chill and gave me all the Italian vibes. Wine was superb and all dishes were homemade with blissful flavors. I shared the homemade raviolis with spinach and then of course ended with the highly recommended beef steak with mustard. Something I would traditionally not order but because of it was recommended I had to try it. I sure was not disappointed it was so tender and tasteful. Definitely a great place to go when in Milan!

Fantastic. Incredible authentic Italian unpretentious restaurant. Grazie! Great part of Milano. Reasonable prices.

This cozy and rustic place was filled to its capacity that there was a sign at the door to inform any incoming person. The space was quite tight, which made it intimate. We were seated by the kitchen and we watched them prepare the food. I had the risotto di Milanese and I thought I took a picture, but it must not have saved it?! This was really good, buttery, and filling for the portion they have given. It was pretty chilly outside and this warmed my tummy. Then I had the tiramisu and yum! It was creamy, yet light. You can really taste the espresso and there was an ingredient in there that gave a crunchy texture. The service was pretty quick in spite of all the customers and the price was affordable.

We were on holiday in Milan from New York. We lived right across Torre di Pisa. The food is most excellent. It's seasonal and amazingly cooked. The chef is very sparing in the salt, which is wonderful. The wines, specials, and regular menu items are wonderful. The desserts are equally up to the task. Tiramisu was fabulous. There is a waiter there named Guglio (Julio?) who made our vacation even more wonderful. He is kind, professional, hard working, and extremely helpful. He's super Bravo.

This trattoria is ok but I would not recommend it. Had the caprese and meatballs for starters which were ok. Had the bistecca robespierre which was good but a bit too small for my tasting and the tiramisu was a bit too sweet. So overall ok and reasonable prices

This is my favorite "must visit" when in Milan. Best veal Milanese ever! It is a typical Milan trattoria.

Excellent meal at this nice restaurant in the Brera section of Milan, which was recommended to me by my sales rep at Canali.

This being my last day in Italy, I wanted something that would take my breath away. It started with great customer service. It was a bit chilly outside, but we opted to sit out there in lieu of a 20 mins. wait. They had heaters if we needed them. The food was beyond my expectations. For starters we had the stuffed zucchini flowers. I would have preferred them not fried, though still very tasty. We shared the Ossobuco with Saffron Risotto - the lunch portion was large enough to share, but I have to say, after the first bite, I regretted sharing. I could have eaten the whole thing. I had to try the creamed fava beans, so I ordered a side. No regrets whatsoever. My taste buds were doing the tarantella! Everything was fabulous, paired with a glass of Pinot Noir.

Review Title: Good Experience in Brera, But Not Quite What We Expected…read more We were looking for a more local dining experience in the Brera district and found Osteria Brunello highly recommended, including by AI suggestions mentioning that locals frequent this restaurant. We made an 8:00 pm reservation and were welcomed by friendly and attentive staff throughout the evening. As dinner went on, however, we noticed that almost everyone around us was speaking English, and it felt more tourist-oriented than we expected. We were automatically given English menus as well. This is not meant negatively at all, but part of our joy in traveling through Italy has been trying to learn and understand the language ourselves. We honestly would have enjoyed being given Italian menus first and figuring things out on our own. The menu was straightforward with a decent variety of choices, including chef's specials highlighted on the menu. The food was good overall, but nothing particularly memorable compared to many of the wonderful meals we've had throughout Italy. It was enjoyable, just not a standout experience for us personally. That said, Milan is a beautiful city and we've truly enjoyed the food scene here. Others may absolutely love Osteria Brunello, but for us, it's probably not a place we would return to on a future visit.

Well we ended up choosing La Carbonaia and we were not left disappointed, or at least, not completely. The place is very small and characteristic, the grill is front and center with a display of costate fiorentine in front. I like the vibe. They bring a complimentary appetizer, mondeghili, typical Milanese fried meat balls, de-li-cious. I order a grigliata mista and the others order a fiorentina. The grigliata mista is kind of disappointing, especially the serving size. It's a very small plate with just three types of meats, I expected more quantity. It was very good, but not filling at all. The fiorentina was delicious, with some very tender pieces and other not so tender ones. Very rare, they don't even ask how you want it, that's the way you have to have it anyway, all in all a good experience.
