Adorable rustic-ish cabins .. .Not updated (lots of brown) but have all the creature comforts and is in a beautiful location along the Salmon River. Bob and his wife run a tight ship and while the cabins are older, they are immaculately maintained, along with the gorgeous grounds. There is also RV parking available. They no longer have a restaurant but do have a small sundry store. However, just a few miles up the road there is one of the best convenience stores I've ever seen - especially considering it's somewhat in the middle of nowhere, although Idaho natives know, this is anything but nowhere, but rather a little slice of heaven on earth.

This is the cutest place ever! They have several cabins, we stayed in two of them - #4 and the larger one in the back (can't remember the #). They are peaceful, quaint, quiet and clean. My favorite part of staying here is being able to walk out to the Salmon River and fly fish. We will definitely be staying here again.

Look for mile post 210 and enjoy the views of the Salmon River. Great people in a great location, 15 acres right next to the river. They have 8 cabins and 10 RV park sites, with full hookups. A little store for basic travel and camping needs is their office. No phone reception here, but the WiFi is strong and fast. with three broadcast points. Also has a Verizon hotspot. I rented cabin 8, which was set for lengthy stays, full kitchen, small living room, a separate bedroom with 2 beds. All was clean and well kept, a rustic and basic cabin, not the Marriott. Bring your own shampoo or ask at the desk. The price was substantially less than all the other hotels and motels in town. The couple that runs it are very friendly, and can provide any needs or information. The back patio was just 100 feet from the river and on a plateau 30 feet above it, a spectacular view of a quiet and wide section of the Salmon River, perfect for wading. There was a fire pit and a barbecue. Perfect spot for long term fishing or rafting expedition and other outdoor sports. Well worth the drive off the beaten path!

We loved our little cozy cabin and the beautiful place to sit and watch the river after a day of motorcycle riding. The owners were very friendly and helpful with information about the area. This inn surrounded in the mountains is in a beautiful spot. We stayed in a room with three queens…read moreand a fold out couch and is advertised to sleep 8 people. While there is room for 8, the room did not have enough toilet paper when we first came. We went to the front desk and they provided one roll. With this many people, I hoped the staff would have given us more. But the staff were helpful with a requested late checkout and getting us an additional room at the last minute. The ac/heat works well along with the fridge. We didn't use the microwave or TV. The shower head was broken in the single bathroom in this room. Overall it's nothing bad or good. We got what we needed and had an enjoyable stay.

The whole family (11 people) decided to go to Mountain Village Resort for dinner. We walked in and of course were told it would take a bit because of having to put tables together. We decided to sit on the deck which was open. We ate a variety of items from taco salad, to chili to chicken friend steak to pasta. I had the Killer pasta with chicken which was very tasty. The deck has a covering but to me, it was still hot outside. Cold waters were served right away and food came out pretty quick. Stanley is a cute city and the Mountain Village Resort is a great place to eat. If I come back to go fishing here, I will definitely be back to eat at this restaurant!

The food was good in the restaurant too and the shakes-- WOW! The customer service was good too. The only draw back were the concrete blocks they have to protect their water spouts, this added a little bit of difficulty backing in. The spaces were large and very level, the water pressure was good too. We will stay here again and would highly recommend it !!!

Riding: Ross the owner was helpful describing trails to take our kids. His directions + the Avenza app had us adventuring on trails for hours both days with dirtbikes and our sxs. Our kids made some core memories adventuring here for sure. The scenery was gorgeous and so fun to explore. Food: As enticed as I was by the other diners delicious looking food I kept seeing throughout our stay, at this point in our trip we really needed to cook the food we had in our trailer. So we didn't utilize the restaurant, except I did get an order of the wings for us to all try. They were delicious, perfectly crisp! We also got our kids vanilla milkshakes after a ride, and those were SUCH a tasty treat. They sell farm fresh eggs in the store and those were great too for our breakfasts, I wish I got another carton before we left. Facilities: The women's restroom was nice and clean, and so was their laundry room. If we're able to do another big road trip with the kids like this, The Sawmill Station is a place we definitely hope to visit again.
