I am a trans man…read more(female to male) and have been out to everyone in my life for 2 years and exclusively use the name Hayden. I arrived at the interview wearing men's clothes and no makeup. I am decidedly androgynous with short hair and a very masculine presentation. My email address uses my former (legal) name and he felt the need to taunt me about this. At the end of the interview (which was full of contrived and redundant questions and facts all the way through) he shuffled through his documents saying "there's another name on here, I saw it" to which I responded THREE TIMES "it's incorrect." Mind I was measured and composed as could be, and I stated it was incorrect three times as he shuffled through, but he did his utmost to find my deadname on the documents (only place it was on there was my email address, I did not specify this was my name at all in any other fields) and proceeded to (with a SMIRK) say the incorrect name out loud, TWICE. I told him once again it was incorrect, and he smirked again and ended the interview with a positively condescending "thank you for coming in Miss Hayden." I didn't react; I was in shock. There is no way to report this to corporate, either, so I'm stuck desperately messaging Kohl's socials and posting this Yelp review. Steve is the only man who works in that store (besides prospectively me) and he's the manager. Hope to get some closure or justice on this but I suspect it won't happen and he'll continue to discriminate. And also mind, I tried my best to interpret this as anything other than transphobic harassment but the smirks and insistence to say a name he knew would upset me says otherwise. Genuinely at a loss here.

We went in to check out the Halloween merchandise as the different Walmart sometimes has different things, and the Walmarts in Hawaii have the least amount of cool stuff, so we made a trek into this store looking mostly for AR Woo Pig Sooie Razorback stuff for family gifts but didn't end up with any because they only had shirts. I was looking for more paraphernalia stuff like license plate frames, cup coozies, stickers. I did, however, find some cool Halloween swag (as usual). I bought a few things and was thrilled to learn that plastic bags here are still FREE!!! Living on the West coast, like Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and California, and even Colorado - no plastic bags. I really miss the ones with the handles, and this store had plenty! I purchased a lot of stuff just so I could have some plastic bags to take home. On the way out, we were greeted by a gentleman named "Chau". He said to my husband, "hey, you should be carrying all the bags!" to which he took the bags out of my hands and handed them to my husband. Then he proceeded to make us link arms and said, "Love each other forever!!! Have a good day!!!" Wow. I don't think I've held my husband's hand or arm for several years now. Love this place.

I have never ordered online, so I can't speak to that experience. Riffraff also offers really adorable and trendy home goods as well. They have a lot of Arkansas (hooray!) and Texas (noooo!) goods and apparel so you can show off your home state pride. The reason I'm giving Riffraff four stars instead of five is that there is another business in Fayetteville with a similar aesthetic that offers more affordable options. The clothes at Riffraff are quality but a bit pricey.
