Rainbow Shops was founded in 1935 in New York City by Irving Arthur Swarzman, an Austrian native who was raised in Brooklyn. You can tell they really care about making people feel comfortable in their store. It was pretty size inclusive and they had a rack specifically for plus size styles.

This place is I believe two floors even though I did not venture past the first level. They do have lots of pieces clothing accessories and a little extras in between. Prices range from reasonable to high end. They did have a few glass cases near the check out register that I was looking at but not one person asked if I needed assistance even though they were within sight. Two men and a lady just behind the counter chatting away. I looked around a bit more but felt like it didn't matter if I was there or not. Not even greeted on entering. I left without purchasing anything. I personally will not return to this location.
