I'm a fan of lane Bryant. Lord knows, it's hard to find good plus-size clothing stores that are…read morereasonably priced. Unlike department stores, the selection here is modern, not "grandma's style". This particular store use to be on Brice Rd. But since that section of town is losing appeal, they decided to move by Walmart - much more business and general traffic thru this part of town. The design of this store is new. Sleek colors - white, light greys - a refreshing view, and the space does not look "crowded" with product. Since this store is closer to family, I'm sure I'll frequent this establishment more on Sundays. Nicely done!

This brand as a whole has gone way down in recent years: the styles they've chosen to sell make no…read moresense--ruffles, cold-shoulders and slits, thin materials and skinny styles, loud prints on the top AND bottom, and the materials are sometimes very nice but more and more they're see-thru, thin and rough, strings hanging down, odd shaped necks, arms disproportionated to the body, etc. This used to be a brand plus-size women went to for professional clothing, now you can't even find slacks in store most of summer and spring in favor of "Coachella" type wear. This brand has also been suffering from major promo/ sale issues of late. For awhile they seemed to always have a Black Friday-type sale of BOGO 50% or whole store 40%, the problem of course being last week you purchase things at full price with just a $25 off $75 coupon and now it's BOGO plus coupon. Now this year with no warning the brand decided to start being very stringent in how the in-store sales are combined with their coupons, rewards, and cheques to the point you can no longer combine a clearance price items with your own reward money half the time or a coupon code. And sometimes you can in store and not online. There's also basic useless promos: ie the whole store goes on sale 40%, and clearance is 40% but they only took $2-5 off the original price so clearance isn't actually clearanced compared the rest of the store and you won't be able to use your coupons on any of those items and won't know unless you go over your receipt In this store I found the girls a few times rather unceremoniously told me the price was "this" because you can't do "that" with the coupons and store sales. I've been shopping here for decades and even worked for the brand and it was never a problem, so I politely stepped away and checked the online site and noted you could combine 1 of the 2 coupon things I was attempting and when I mentioned it the sales lady agreed to try but didn't seem happy (in the past a salesperson always rang things up and tried coupons without ever giving you grief, now they won't even try them--I think it's because their computers suck). When I worked at this brand in the recent past, and shopped here always, managers made it clear that stores should do whatever was possible to make sales because store sales goals were so high and I was a bit surprised that policies had 1. Changed on coupons and 2. Stores no longer wanted to match online (especially since stores send out online orders now, they don't all come from a warehouse). I also haven't been a fan of this branch's selection of merchandise from the brand, which tends to be the very basics. If there's a trend-ish piece or a new piece on the website it won't ever get there or it seems to take a very long time to get to this store compared to Easton or Polaris. I will say whenever I've had friends with me I've talked them into looking at bras or getting a fitting and the people for that area have been excellent

She then replied something about go backs and said, "Is there someone coming to relieve me at 7?" I laughed because she was so unaware of me. She didn't notice but yelled over the line to compliment a coworkers outfit. She then turned to the other cashier and said, "I always tell her she is pretty." Then she looked over me and said, "Maybe I can guilt the next people into opening a card." Last time we were here the greeter was yawning and texting and didnt look up. Not sure what is going on but there always seems to be a team working that is oblivious to the customer. Hey sales people sorry we bothered you to the point you had a long line. Geez!

I will preface that my niece and I stopped in the day after July 4th, so they may have had a better selection prior to the holiday and just may have been hit and not yet replenished. The selection was just, um, seriously lacking; both in their clothes and home goods. I remember Burlington being a slight step above, say, TJ Maxx and Marshall's, but this trip was opposite. My niece didn't find anything on her wish list for college. I'm thinking I'd probably have to become a regular weekly bargain-hunting customer, especially frequenting the store on truck days.

When I asked her why she was calling people a head of me, She stated, "she needs to get her line down". After waiting in line for 15 minutes and to be what I thought was next in line. Just to be completely disrespected. I just walked out, leaving my $300 cart sitting there. Not only did this business lose money but now you have to put it all away. I get what she thought she was doing, but she obviously is not well versed in business. I do most of my shopping online and today was just a reminder to keep it that way. People suck!

I gave the customer service one last call yesterday, and was put on hold while they called the store (again) to look up my info to see what happened. I was supposed to receive a call last night after they figured out the problem to let me know if I could come into the store to just get my money back, or what. GUESS WHAT?? NO ONE called me. Shocker. I will never do business with a Maruices again. No one at this store cares about customer service. How would they like it if they returned merchandise and were still waiting to get their money back over a month later? Not to mention all the time I've spent on the phone, looking up phone numbers, email, etc.

We arrived fairly close to closing, which can sometimes be risky--some restaurants start cutting corners as the night winds down. Not here. Everything was incredibly fresh, and each bite took our palates on a culinary adventure that had us feeling like champions for choosing Brassica for dinner. The ingredients, flavors, and execution were all outstanding. If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and go. Brassica continues to prove why it's one of our favorite places to eat whenever we're in town.

I started with the Cauliflower Tahini Soup, followed by a build-your-own salad bowl, a Chocolate Chip Cookie, and a Minty Pink Lemonade. The soup had a rich, creamy texture, though I found it a little too salty for my taste. Not knowing exactly what to expect, I loaded up my salad bowl with lentils and rice, mixed greens, hummus, baba ghanoush, crispy onions, pita bread, chicken shawarma, brisket, sweet beets, pickled cucumbers, pickled radish, pickled cabbage, cauliflower tabbouleh, marinated eggplant, and finished it with Brassica's roasted garlic sauce and tahini. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and full of contrasting textures. The combination of crisp vegetables, savory proteins, and creamy spreads made for a hearty, satisfying meal that kept me full long after lunch. The Chocolate Chip Cookie was exactly how I like it--crispy around the edges with a slightly well-done finish and plenty of chocolate in every bite. To wash it all down, the Minty Pink Lemonade was the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and refreshing, complementing the bold Mediterranean flavors beautifully. Overall, Brassica is a great option for a quick, customizable meal made with fresh ingredients. While the soup wasn't my favorite, I'd happily return to build another salad and try more items from the menu.
