Really good food here, came here on my lunch craving tacos.. for the special two tacos of any meat with rice and beans and a salad and free drink.. even gave me a discount for military.. beans were a little too salty for me but not to knock it down 4 stars .. the employees are all really nice and greet you and smile when you walk in. Tacos de birria de chivo are so good! I normally prefer beef birria because most places, goat is pretty overpowering smell if not cleaned properly. But I was very surprised at how how the tacos and consomé were. The salsas for them are tasty! Try the oil one for these tacos. Fair warning it's spicy as it should be! This nice little hidden gem is Santa Ana is amazing, which is why they are always busy. I've had their tortas ahogada multiple times and they never dissapoint. My fave drink is their strawberries and cream. I have yet to try other items, since I usually go for a craving of the same thing, but I do intend to switch it up during my next visit. The parking lot is small and share with other business, so if your coming with a group, I suggest carpooling, also seating is very limited. Had to try the Hawaiian Fruit Salad. It was GREAT! These guy's are NOT cheap . They PACKED the To-go clear box with all their goodies. The Salad was $10 and totally worth the price, 3 of us easily enjoy this treat! Tried the Chillaquiles, a bit spicy, and little too much sauce, but that was my fault for not saying easy on the sauce, and just a bit more mozzarella cheese, which I substituted from what they use. I can't even understand how someone in the area would get their Mexican food from a fast food chain instead of coming here! This is as authentic as you're going to get in OC. The tortas here are seriously everything !!! I could eat them every single day! The place is definitely the kind of place that you come for the food and not the "dining experience." But honestly, these are the kind of places with the most authentic food. Staff here has always been super friendly! My biggest recommendation of course has got to be the tortas given the amount of food you get for such a good price! They're filled with carne asada cooked to perfection along with avocado, and this delicious cheese! However, I've also had a chance to try some of their other menu items and they're all equally good! Can't go wrong with any of the other items! They also have a sauce bar with some really good sauces! My favourite are the avocado based ones. The place was empty and I was the only customer there, yet every single table was dirty. The one I sat in was sticky and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Same thing with the floor. Trash all over and just made me feel like I should cancel my order. Despite this, I decided to try the food. I ordered a ham torta and an agua de horchata. It was ok. Nothing really exciting. The torta was pretty greasy though as it looked like they warm the stuff on the grill with oil and it was just too much for me. The agua was all right also. It's just the same as the other Mexican places, so it didn't really stand out. My expectations were not met and don't see how people rave about this place. I've seen this place many times driving by and thought I'd stop by today to buy an agua fresca. Boy, they have a "nice" lunch menu. To my pleasant surprise, there was a poster with "tacos de birria" which looked good, so I ordered my agua and a taco. Oh My Gosshhh!! This was one of the best birria tacos I've ever had. I enjoy everytime I come here with my coworkers... we always order food for pick up and within 15 mins our big orders are ready I really love the raspados they are sooooo delicious ... and the agua frescas they have I love all 3 flavors but pineapple is my favorite we've had everything on the menu!!! not one single complaint . Love this place the food is good... it's a little pricey, but you get a lot for your money. The reason why I'm rating this so low is because they suck at answering phone orders! If you're busy don't take the call and put people on hold for over 10 minutes and then forget about them! This is not the first time this happens also now they have new personal and this older lady has an attitude and bad customer service. She straight up tried charging one dollar more and when I corrected her she gave me attitude. The dollar more is not the upsetting thing the attitude is!
