We were told that this was not a tourist spot but a place frequented by locals. The menu was simple, shrimp or fish tacos. They actively fry the food in front of you, so you know it's fresh. Then you have a plethora of toppings and various sauces to dress your tacos. Most people are standing when they're eating. Luckily we scored a table, which is one of three. Ambiance is unassuming, much like many of the street tacos stands in Ensenada. Love the freshness and variety of toppings. Definitely a place to check out when you're in Ensenada.

I visited in June, so I think the summer vacation folks made it more crowded but I promise it's worth it! I highly recommend the ceviche and another dish he bakes in a big clam shell on a toaster oven sitting on the tailgate of his white truck. Seating is plastic chairs under a 10x10 easy up, but you won't care because the food is so good. If you try it (and I hope you do) tell him Desert Dingo Racing sent you. We got: - beef burritos - bean and cheese burritos - empanadas with avocado This place was delicious and so cheap! For like 8 burritos and 3 empanadas it was $10. The burritos are small and simple. Cars pull up almost like a drive thru. I haven't tried the tortas yet because I'm obsessed with the empanadas. It's best to eat them fresh on the spot rather than take them to go, but I'm sure they're still good if you take them and eat them later.
