That being said, the bar area was full and even with a packed room, the bar staff held their own and were able to keep service quick and efficient with very little time spent waiting to be served. Credit due here. Nice establishment tucked away.

If you should ever find yourself in deepest Grove Park (and there's nothing to say you ever will…read moreunless you a) live there b) know people who live there c) are visiting the lovely Chiswick House or the nearby Hogarth House) then this is a most wonderful place to drop by and have some nibbles or lunch. Grove Park is a very pretty suburb west of Hammersmith, deep in the Chiswick area. Lots of families and semis and 4x4s. You get the picture. Nestled at the heart of the area is fauconberg rd, which along with the leafy trees and nice houses has a charming row of shops to which the Copper Cow belongs. All very lovely, a little twee for some tastes I would imagine, but London suburbia at its best. We popped into the Copper Cow whilst the boy was having his hair cut a few doors down and ended up having the most delicious and well cooked meal. The Copper Cow used to be The Coyote Cafe a few years back and was a Mexican place of some renown for the locals. This place surpasses it. We Chose a chicken kebab, some blue swimmer crab cakes, the mezze and a hamburger. The kebab and crab cakes came as a deal - £12 for 2 courses. Everything that came out of this small but pleasant bar/cafe/restaurant was beautifully cooked. My chicken kebab consisted of huge chunks of breast cooked until done but not dry, still completely juicy. And complemented by delicious pieces of pepper, pineapple etc. Served with excellent rice and a salad that wasn't an afterthought. Great stuff. The hamburger was an absolute winner with the boy. Top bun. No cheap sugary stuff here. And a lovely salad and hand cut, skin on chips to accompany. And the mezze was deliciously fresh and well balanced. Hummous and tatziki tasted home made as they should be. Beautifully warmed through pitta, and a feta and olive salad that was vibrant. The crab cakes were crisp on the outside and actually tasted of crab inside, unlike so many of those thai efforts places try and pass off. Everything was executed brilliantly. Honest food cooked with love and served in very generous portions too. The bill was incredibly reasonable. In fact if you were to take full advantage of pairing up certain starters with certain main courses, I would go as far as to say it's an absolute bargain. So, make that excuse to get yourself down to Grove Park. Chiswick House is truly beautiful, as is the park it's set in. And Hogarth is one of Britain's most famous artists of all time. His house, bang on the A4 is like an oasis of calm amongst the traffic. And his prints from debauched London in the 18th century are both hilarious and shocking and sad all at once. Or maybe you are friends with some of the yummy mummies who live here. Suggest a get together. Spurn their offers of home cooked nonsense and get down the Copper Cow. It's well worth the journey, even if it isn't a 'destination' joint.

Hey have a pretty good deal - £6 burrito that includes a soft drink. It wasn't very busy but it did take about 5 min to come out. I guess I'm used to burrito bars where most of it is already made. Donde está el sabor? Sadly the burritos I make at home with the kits have more taste. It's presented very nicely and surely they use nice ingredients but sadly when you mostly taste the melted cheddar cheese or sometimes the plain rice - it does deserve a one or two star review. I had to drown it in the jalapeño sauce. When you have places like Tortilla that's considerably fast food and tastes really nice - probably wouldn't come back here for the food. I always want independent places like this to do well but sorry do they know what Mexican food should taste like?

Sufficed to say the beer was the best thing out of the experience. What we ordered: Chicken Burrito - it looked good because it was overstuffed with chicken, but looks can be TOTALLY deceiving. The chicken had NO flavor and it was COLD! Wtf! Baja Fish Tacos and Carnitas Tacos- the fish was ok but that was it. The tortillas for these "street tacos" were dry and crumbly Never again!

But ambience and just total cuteness of the place drew us in. Very modern with nice soft Jazz music playing in rhe background. The place was packed on a Tuesday so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks. The bartenders were very knowledgeable on the selection of while and even allowed me to taste a view before choosing one. We then moved to a table that had opened up. We had the guacamole and a prawn starter first. The guacamole was nice although I'm not a fan of the toastadas that came with it. To hard for my taste and at first it only cma e with three huge round ones. Of course we needed more and they did bring it but it's odd that they wouldn't just bring It in the first place considering the amount of guac. The spicy prawn starter was delicious bur quite spicy for me. Then we tried the lamb taco and the fish tacos. Came with 2 in each. amazing tacos! Very flavorful and quite filling. Especially the lamb. My favourite part of the meal was the tuna tapas. I can't remember tge name but Omg they were sooo good! I think there was a truffle flavor but not overwhelming. Honestly a must try. Very nice place and affordable. Would return.
