Worst insurance agent I've ever had…read more * He entered my property address wrong in the system, so for the entire time I had that rental property insurance, I wasn't sure whether or not claims would actually be covered. He assured me it was just an insignificant error that wouldn't affect things, and he would correct it, but he never did. * When I sold my home and no longer needed insurance, I contacted him to cancel. HE NEVER RESPONDED. Ever. I tried emailing him over the State Farm system multiple times. No response. Called him; no answer, no response to my multiple voicemails. When I contacted State Farm corporate to complain and ask to cancel my insurance, all they could do was direct me to contact my agent to cancel. That agent was Casey Whitmarsh who never responded to my many cancelation requests!! I ultimately had to use the online system to switch to a different agent so that SHE could cancel my account. I've never been so frustrated. * My car lease ended and I got insurance on my new car from Progressive, which offered a MUCH better price (like half the cost). I called Casey Whitmarsh to cancel. Yeah, guess what. No response. I had to send a certified letter to State Farm corporate to direct them to cancel. Casey was friendly when I first set up service. He got me some "discounts" by having me sign up for multiple kinds of insurance. But something was always a little bit off about the guy. He would talk my ear off like we were buddies; we're not buddies, dude. I just want cheap car insurance. I don't want to be pals. It took forever to get off the phone with him. It's ironic that years later, I would do anything for Casey to actually pick up the phone when I *wanted* to talk to him. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I opened a renter's insurance policy with State Farm through David in 2017. My policy was cancelled…read morewithout notice- I only found out that I was no longer insured when I logged onto my account today to update my address. I never received a notification via email or post. I called to ask what happened to my policy and was told it was cancelled late last year because I made a claim over TWO YEARS prior. Having coverage for claims is literally the purpose for having insurance. If you plan on using your policy for its intended purpose, expect to be unceremoniously axed 2 years later with no explanation or notification. I will say that the process was easy when we had to make a claim due to theft, but I'm extremely disappointed that they cancelled our policy because we dared to actually use it.
