I decided to try this salon out because of the great reviews but noticed there were no ethnic clients' photos, which made me a little skeptical but I decided to have faith in their skills. The location is convenient for me since I do my grocery shopping and my nails within 0.5 miles from the salon. The interior is immaculate and modern; staff were friendly and genuinely concerning; prices are even better. Albeit, I was one of the first black clients in this particular shop, they exceeded my expectations and did a better job than my regular hair stylist (no shade). They were very attentive to my hair type and needs, giving honest feedback and suggestions. I can proudly say, ANYONE with hair that is told is "hard to manage", this salon does not shy away from a challenge, and will style your hair with love and precision. I will definitely be returning.

Upon walking in, I was warmly greeted by one of the hairdressers named Carmen. I was a little unsure about this place, because it was completely empty on a Saturday morning, which is unheard of for me. Anyway, I asked for a wash/set and deep condition, which all came out to $25.00. While tending to my hair, Carmen was aslo able to provide me with an analysis of my hair. She made recommendations that would help in getting my hair back to a more healthier state. From what she was telling me, I knew that she was knowledgeable about hair, because my dermatologist had also made the same recommendations to me. I went back this past Saturday to get a touch up. Now, I don't trust a lot of people with my hair, especially when it comes to my touch ups. But because of my past experience here, I decided to take a chance. Well, my scalp did not burn at all and my hair came out looking shinny and healthy. What I also appreciated is that during the whole process, I was being told every product that was being put in my hair and the reason why I needed it. With my touch up, deep treatment and trim, everything came out to $75. That may seem a little steep, but the products that they use at the salon are top notch. Fina's is definitely my new go to salon. The people are nice and they seem to actually care about the health of your hair.

i have hated every hair salon i have gone to in my entire life besides this one. i have gone here…read moresince i was 16 and i am 24 now. i don't know what i will do with my life when i move out of baldwin or fina retires. i don't trust anyone else to do my hair. my hair never grew past my collar bones until i came here. after i started coming here people did not think my hair was real because it was so long, think, and shiny. fina is the only hair stylist i have gone to who has told me to go natural instead of getting relaxers because my hair is too delicate for relaxers. she is also amazing at cutting hair. i showed her a picture of how i wanted my hair cut and she made my hair look EXACTLY the same. i have never gone to a hair salon where the clients were white, black, and latina. just like with makeup if you cannot help clients no matter what race they are you are not good at what you do.

I look like a cockroach with antenna's, she said oh no while cutting my hair. my bangs are extremely short uneven and oily. I asked for layers and she barely cut. She poked me in my eye many many times causing it to swell up when I got home. I have to go to a VERY important wedding in 2 days as one of the main guests.
