Prior to coming here I had planned on going to another hair place and thank god I came here instead because I had a great experience. I booked an appointment on my birthday on very short notice and I was able to get a spot in less than 10 minutes! The receptionist greeted me the moment I got in and was very informative. Cece did a wash and blow dry with loose curls on my hair and I absolutely loved how it came out. She was great! They offer you refreshments as well which was awesome. The entire process took only 30-40 mins and I really loved the interior of the salon as well. I've always passed by but never checked it out so I'm glad I finally came here. I called them at 5:30 PM on a Friday and asked if their was any availability for color and a blowout. I expected to get a bit of hesitation, specifically given the time of day and week that I was calling. Instead, I got a very calm and friendly tone, and I was told to come right in. I had a color consultation with Roseanne, and not only was she very receptive, she also offered good feedback and suggestions, which I took. I have naturally jet black hair, consequently keeping my warm, blonde tone is not always an easy task. Roseanne got rid of the very yellow and brassy tones that were in my hair and gave me an awesome blow out. The entire staff was very busy, but still very professional and sweet. Osio is fantastic! After years of working with a hairdresser I didn't love, I found Allie. I saw her work on her Instagram and I thought I'd give it a try. I went in with an idea of what I wanted, based on her Instagram, and Allie and I discussed it and had a great consultation. The first time we blew it out after dyeing it, it was just a little too pink for me, so Allie mixed up a toner right away and put it back on my hair for a few minutes. This time, it was the perfect color! Allie's blowouts are quick and beautiful. The girl is a wizard with a flat iron! I'm not sure if the best part of the whole experience was the haircut and color or the treatment from the staff. They all took genuine interest in my service and asked about my day, my life, etc. There are so many salons in this area where people are snobby and unfriendly, and this is NOT one of them. The workers are so nice! They are very friendly, sanitary, and talented. The ONE caveat I have is that they're closed on Sundays and Mondays. I know people need a break from work, and I understand Mondays being closed. It's just a tad frustrating because Sundays are a popular day for bridal showers and baby showers. I always want to get a nice blowout on a Sunday for a shower, but unfortunately they are closed and I always have to find a different salon. My wife received a gift certificate to this salon from a girl who goes there. When she made an appointment she was told that a $50 deposit was needed to hold the appointment and it had to be cancelled within 48 hours to get the deposit refunded. We cancelled the next day and was refunded the $50 but not the $1.75 service charge the merchant card service charges the salon. The woman on the phone said she did nothing wrong and my wife was responsible for the service charge. Of course this is not the case and my credit card company is simply charging back the $1.75 to the merchant. They are either dumb, crooks, or both. How can a business charge an individual for anything they did not receive? I did not choose the card merchant service they use. Watch your use of your credit card with these folks. Had they told my wife there was a service charge she would not have made the appointment. Her intent was to use the gift certificate. I was mistaken about the refund. The deposit money was not refunded so the entire $51.75 is being kept by the rather crooked owners, or so they think. Again, when the appointment was made a refund of the deposit was to be made if the appointment was cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment date. We cancelled the appointment the next day. These folks are dishonest, disreputable shreds of human debris. read more

I went to OSIO for hair straightening. I requested Brazilian method they said Keratin method is just as good and that is what they would use. It did not give me results I had obtained using Brazilian at other salons in the past. In less than two weeks my hair was not straight anymore. I went to the salon to show them. I'm the kind of person that gets an inch cut off and freaks out that my hair is too short. I love having long hair and I've always hated getting haircuts. When you tell some people you want a trim they cut too much. I don't trust anyone with my hair except Allie Kelly. She knows when I want two inches that means two inches. Because I always get so little cut off no one ever realized I had gotten a haircut. Allie adds layers and angles to make my hair look fresh. People actually notice when I get haircuts now. She knows how to style hair not just cut it. I wish I were adventurous with my hair because her Instagram page is incredible. The color she does is amazing. I have never dyed my hair but if I ever decide to, Allie would be the only person I'd let do it. I recommend everyone I know to Allie and everyone loves her. Going into Osio is a chance to treat yo self. From offering you coffee to the shampoo head massages to leaving feeling like a million bucks it's such a great experience. Well, well, well I finally went to Osio for a haircut and I couldn't be any happier! Everything from booking the appointment to the haircut itself and styling was perfect. First of all, I give credit to the receptionists who manage the scheduling and for listening to their customer--me! I called, as a first time customer, explaining that I needed a haircut as it had been 6 months since my last...not so good haircut. I also shared that I needed a hairdresser who would listen to my request that I only wanted a trim because the following day I would be trying on wedding dresses for the first time in Manhattan. The receptionist assured me that I would be in good hands no matter what and told me she would put me with Nikki. **Also, I know about 10 people who frequent this salon, all who use different hairdressers so it truly didn't matter who I ended up with knowing it would be fine. After introducing ourselves, Nikki asked me what I was interested in doing with my hair. I explained the same situation to her as I did the receptionist and she listened with intent. She explained that we would only need to take off " --------" this much, as she showed me with her fingers and agreed that I could use a light clean up of my overgrown layers. Nikki is the absolute sweetest and I loved being her client! She was so friendly and focused throughout the appointment. At the end she added a soft wave in my hair and I admitted that I had no idea how to curl my hair, even with a wand. This lead her to show me how to curl my hair! I was amazed that she naturally took the time to show me a few tricks Lastly, the BEST part of all is that she literally only cut off what she said she was going to. This girl knew right off the bat what I wanted and just how to give me the results I was looking for !!! I usually never review, but after going to Osio, I had to rave about my new cut and color by Sam. I've been "going blonde" for several years now, so I'm kind of a frequent flyer at hair salons. However, until my experience at Osio, I hadn't found not one single salon that fit my needs at a reasonable price. I usually ended up leaving salons feeling like I overpaid for color that fried my hair and didn't come close to matching the image in my head of what I wanted. Not to mention, my hair is very difficult to style. My natural hair is thick and very dark (almost black). I also have darker, olive skin, which has many red undertones. It is very difficult to properly color my hair without completely frying it or ending up with really weird tones. (Too brassy/warm/orange, too cool/grey, etc). To put it frankly - the color techniques that work on fair-skinned, light-haired girls don't tend to fit me. I was recommended to Osio by a coworker who had a similar complexion as me, and who loved blonde looks as well. She swore by Sam, and I decided to check the place out. Everything about my experience was phenomenal. My appointment request was accommodated without question at the last minute, I was immediately seen upon arrival, and I was offered a delicious cappuccino right away. I also liked that my service was fairly quick. I'm used to salons where you're held hostage under a dryer with foils in your hair for 6+ hours. At Osio, I got a stylish cut, color, toner, blowout, and style done in a cool 2.5 hours and my entire service cost about $200. (Which was a bit more than I expected, but was still very fair, especially given the quality of my cut and color.) Overall, I am thrilled with Osio. I've never left so happy walking out of a salon. I should have gone there years ago! I would have saved myself a lot of stress and money through my "blonde" journey. 5 stars! Go Sam! read more

Fair enough. I had no issue with that. Fast forward to right now. It's been about two weeks and no one has called me back. What a shame. We were visiting for a family wedding and needed a last min. salon to get three blow outs before the evening- their manager answered the phone and was very accommodating! He squeezed us all in, at the same time, and we sat near each other. The lovely ladies made us (much needed) cappuccinos while they styled. We were in and out, although not rushed. Unbelievably disappointed with my experience, so much so I drove home in tears. I went to this salon tonight for the first time to get a TRIM. The hairdresser Allie seemed like a nice girl. I told her I loved having long hair but I wanted to cut off at least three inches. I had hair past my waist, on purpose bc I love it that way. She cut off close to 12 inches and I will never set foot in this salon ever again. Hairdressers out there reading this, listen to your clients. I knew exactly what I wanted and I did not need this woman to decide to make me look completely different.
