Then after examining me they said the normal cleaning would not do anything for me, and I needed a 'FMD' Full mouth debridement that would be $185 in addition to the other services they quoted me for totaling $1260. When I refused the services that I did not come for they refused to give me a regular cleaning and escorted me out. They mentioned that the flyer has an asterisk that mentions the cleaning is only in the absence of periodontal disease which I obviously do not have. Mind you, I have good dental hygiene, never have had a cavity in my life, non smoker, eat almost no sugar, brush and floss regularly and even use a metal pick at home like they use during cleanings. I asked again 3 times to various employees there if I could just opt for the regular cleaning that I came for and they refused and said It would do nothing for me, which makes no sense and says a lot about them. Total waste of my time and money. Completely dishonest and unethical business practices. Would not recommend an enemy to go there.

They now tell me that tooth has the start of an infection and I'll need a root canal. I didn't have an infection until after they put a faulty crown in. Now they want to refer me to someone else to do the root canal. Something sounds a little odd. Oh... We found this... We found that... It starts to add up.

This was September 17, 2025. They quickly charged the petty $128 to my insurance very quickly. On October 3 I call to make an emergency appointment which i had to reschedule for today due to an urgent issue with social security that I had to resolve. I call this morning b4 my appointment with my dental insurance on the line. Turns out they hadn't sent any request until October 3 the same day I called for the emergency appointment. The woman for lack of a better word who spoke to me & the insurance was super dismissive and condescending & RUDE she got caught in her lazy lie and didn't like it. They maybe in Miami Lakes but belong in liberty city. I am glad I figured this out early on. Very eager to charge my grandmothers care credit card when I have $5,000 available from my private insurance between now and January for any service needed. Prior to employing the services of a dentists such as IRA M WENDROFF the public deserves to be educated about the shoddy dental care they too can fall victim to if they are not aware of the potential covert danger signs. I am in the process of developing a website whose purpose is to educate the public about the importance of a obtaining a second opinion, the significance of informed consent and the undeniable necessity of a clearly charted dental treatment plan. I made an appt and was seen with a short wait. The hygienist was pleasant as was the dds. They provided a treatment plan & consultation without being pushy like so many other dentists offices are. I would definitely recommend them! The only reason i held off on the fifth star was bc the office itself is a little dated, but hey its all you need and no frills nor sales fluff. I was wondering why I didn't have my cleaning yet when I was informed that the dental hygienist wasn't in that day. What??!? That is the only reason that I took off work and came in!!!!!! Something didn't feel right so I went to another dentist for a second opinion and guess what? It's completely covered. Irrigation optional for $75 which is still a fraction of what they charged. TLC didn't tell us irrigation was optional. I'm annoyed my dad got two fillings done here for $400 which I feel in retrospect, would have been covered. They also recommended two crowns which my dad didn't need. The staff is friendly but this is terrible way to take advantage of seniors and people who aren't proficient in English.
