We fired TV them after a tech did a pm call on a working unit, told us it was no good and refused to put it back together. We got 2 other quotes for a new unit. TC was a rip off. Jerry Brittingham AC got us a better unit for less money. Our electric bill is now 25% less. I strongly do not recommend Total Comfort. To have a tech refuse to reassemble a unit in a routine pm is completely irresponsible and unacceptable. read more

This past Wednesday night we scheduled an appointment with Total Comfort for Saturday, August 2, to fix our air conditioning unit. That was the earliest available. You can imagine how excited we were when they told us yesterday, (Saturday, 8/2), that a technician would be here between 2-4 pm. The technician never showed! I called 3 times requesting an update as to when he/she would arrive...and never received the courtesy of a return phone call! Realizing that my calls were directed to a call center somewhere in the United States, I did an online search and discovered that Seacoast Service Partners ("SSP"), a platform formed by White Wolf Capital Group ("White Wolf") acquired Total Comfort in October of 2024. I called another company, 1 Hour AirConditioning in Daytona Beach, Fl. and they will be here tomorrow. Not only will they be here but they texted me the info! Total Comfort IS NOT a local company anymore and it shows. That said, Total Comfort can kiss our 15 year old relationship goodbye! read more

I tried to switch out my HVAC thermostat myself. I couldn't get the system to work. I was exhausted after trying for over 2 hours. I called Total Comfort at 3:30 pm hot, sweating and whining to these wonderful people and a technician arrived in 3 yes 3 minutes to fix my problem. I had blown the fuse and misdirected the wires and he rewired my new thermostat. He finished in less than 25 minutes. I have done business with them before and I will use them again in the future. They are polite, professional and very knowledgeable about most anything that may need attention in your home. I've had extremely good luck with the technicians and office staff from Total Comfort. They are always prompt, courteous and efficient. I have had them do A/C and electrical work with fantastic results. The removal of a 'star' is because the Mitsubishi mini-splits are a complete nightmare. The technicians try to keep them functioning but it has cost me more to fix them (I went an entire summer with no A/C on the floor with the splits - bedroom) than they are worth. 3 times I have asked Total Comfort for a quote to remove the splits and replace them with a normal A/C unit, the salesman comes to house, looks around and leaves - never to be heard from again. I recommend Total Comfort to anyone who asks and discourage people from installing mini-splits. read more

The service tech are great. One problem the company up charges parts at an alarming rate. The company charged me $379 for what should be a $75 stat at any store. The technician was even embarrassed because he told me it was around $200 and I reluctant said yes to that price. Then it was $379....that as close to stealing without actual stealing. read more

Long time customer. I have spent close to $3,000 over the last 3 years on repairs to electrical, heat/AC and generator. I called today to have them inspect the generator and they have dropped me as a client. They are stating I have two outstanding bills and they will no longer work with me. My records show that I always paid with my AMEX card after every visit. They are claiming I emailed a check and then stopped payment on it. This never happened. Donna left me a message saying they will not work with me due to me not paying my bills. They were not interested in receiving my receipts. Not sure what is going on, but I have paid ALL my due bills. read more

I am surprised at such a low rating for this great company. I see it had a lot of one star ratings from several years back, which affects their overall rating. Whatever the case, my experience with them was 5 star. The sales rep, Dan, explained everything, including proper size of AC units, SEER ratings, running the copper pipes through the attic versus under the house( my AC unit is behind my house. The copper pipes had a leak in them somewhere under the house). I got a the smaller, cheaper, highly efficient unit (with a 5 year manufacturer labor and parts, plus 10year warranty both included). He explained a bigger unit would cool my house faster, but wouldn't stay on long enough to extract all the humidity out of a home in Florida. Besides the best service, they gave me the best price of the companies I interviewed. They offered easy monthly payments, but I opted to pay in full for an 1100.00 discount. Total Comfort didn't get to be the biggest AC company in the area by accident. I highly recommend them. read more

Scheduled first appointment which I told them Ac was not working properly, but they scheduled a maintenance. First guy was great. Said it needs coils cleaned inside. He calls and schedule an appointment for me to have it cleaned. Next guy is rude and comes in and says oh, that takes three hours and you're only scheduled for one. Now I have lost two days of work. I still have no air conditioner. They want to schedule me another appointment for a three hour visit. I am a kidney transplant patient who works full-time and nobody can keep missing work like this. Communication is poor The actual manager who has been there forever, hung up the phone on me twice. He told me to go somewhere else. I would recommend everybody does so. Purchased a new A/c Gas pack and problems from first day. Two service techcs came to install They hung around for a couple of hours waiting for a part. Finaly, they went to get it, a 50=amh circut breaker. Installed in 5 minutes and they left. Next morning the A/C is not working. Tech comkes and say it is the thermostat. New one installed $244. Same one on Amazon $60 to $80. Kind enough not to charge me for a service call.. I got the salesman to drop the $244. I asked the salesman, installer ans woman in the office for a copy of theservice maual and warrantee. No results but I did find the manual online. Install is inspected and faills because gas line is not secure. Call office and I am told that Iwlould have to get someone because they cannot install naturel gas, only LP. Also told that I wuld have to pay. Ialked to saleman and he covered the $192.00 bill. I just talked to salesman and he is going to see that it gets reinspected. Whole experience has been a nightmare. Never would recommend this compay from the insltalllers, tech, salesman and officek staff. I felt that I was mislead in some areas and if I hadn't been on the saleman's case, things would not have been done for a long time. Stay away. read more

When I stated shopping for a new air conditioner my first concern is service. I very rarely look at the price before the service. They not only honored their bid which was three months prior where everyone else was only giving me 48 to 36 hours at the price they quoted. After purchasing a new air-conditioning/heating unit from total comfort I had couple issues and they were onsite for repairs within hours of my call and one time it was Sunday night. I highly recommend Total Comfort and give them a five star rating. read more

They came out to repair my 4 year old Generac generator and wanted $1600 to fix it. They said the part was NOT under warranty. Wrong, the unit is still under the 5 year warranty. I went to the Generac web site and they are NOT listed as a certified expert repair company for Generac as they said they were. Called a certified Generac repair service I found on the Generac web site. The certified company identifies a different problem than Total Comfort was going to repair. The part is $1200 and is covered by the warranty and the repair for labor will be $600. Wow!! I would NOT recommend or trust Total Comfort to repair anyone's generator. Caveat Emptor - "Let the buyer beware." I have been with this company for 20 years, but in the last year something has gone awry. For my latest maintenance checkup, I re-arranged by schedule to accommodate their request for an 8-8:30 a.m. Saturday appointment. Their technician showed up 20 minutes late -- at 8:40 a.m. -- with a poor excuse for a mask hanging around his neck. I had to tell him to put it on. He replaced the air filter, with one I provided, and installed it backwards. He did not check the heating unit, although he spent 35 minutes in my basement looking at it. After he left, I checked the filter and re-installed it properly. When I tested the heater, it was no longer working (it had been the night before). I was told another technician could come out, but no sooner than 5 p.m. and would call ahead to let me know when he was on his way. He showed up at 4 p.m. unannounced. The problem was the thermostat, which the earlier technician would have known had he checked the heating unit. I was charged $240 for the new thermostat, which retails for around $50. Upon calling the company, I was told the extra $180 for the thermostat was for an extended warranty I did not want or ask for. The total bill for the thermostat, which took 15 minutes to install, was $454. I can only assume that the company has changed hands or gone through some sort of managerial change. I won't be doing business with them in the future. Too bad for them, since I need to replace both my heating and cooling units in months to come. Although I contacted both the office and billing managers neither one returned my calls. read more

This is a great company that covers every thing for your home. I have used them for all of there services including electrical, gas, plumbing and AC. I have even used them for there duct cleaning service recently. For Electrical I ask for only John Steel. He is a great person who really knows his stuff. He recently had to spend the entire day at my house correcting things that my builders Electrician did that I was having problems with. I wish I would have used them exclusively when I built since most of my problems have been correcting what the previous A/C Company, Electrical Company and Plumbing Company. It is also great when you need to mix specialist. I have needed this a few times and it can all be coordinated at one location. My next project will have plumbing out at 9am to install and isolator kit on my tank less hot water heater that should have been done when it was installed. The tank less specialist will be out the same day after they are done to service and de-scale it. I even had one project that needed Electrical, Plumbing and Gas all at the same time. read more

The office person I met with, was polite and seemed genuine, however it has been over four weeks later and still no one has contacted us. Excellent Co. to call for Plumbing problems as well. We had a collapsed drain pipe under our block home. After not having any success getting any other big named plumbing companies to come give us an estiment for over a month. I called them and a sweet lady by the name of Debbie assured me they would be out that day. The plumber James showed up as promised and said they could fix it and estimated it at the same time. They showed up on time as there were 4 of them and worked through the rain. That really impressed us! The job was done the next day and now we're just waiting for the city to send an inspector. The city dragged there feet on passing the inspections, so i called to find out why and the secretary blamed it on the plumber saying they hadn't called them to say they were done. Called Total asking them to call the city. Debbie informs me that they called that morning. Sad but true fact..... The city has earned the reputation that they deserve for being liars to the community they are supposed to serve. They say you can't fight city hall but if everyone did they might do a better job in running the best city possible to avoid a disappointed public. Called total air when I had been taken by Ocean Air who is not licensed as I found out later, Had been without air for weekend and was very hot....They were in my building when I asked if they can look at my unit and see what is going on since OCEAN AIR supposedly fixed my unit and charged me 300.00, Unit worked for 6 hours and could not get a hold of that company again. Total Air went up on roof and told me I needed a Schreader Core, which I told him that was what the other guy said from Ocean air. Also both company's had to add 8 lbs of r22 to the unit witch meant the unit was totally drained. I was happy to see they fixed it right.....WRONG, 6 hours later warm air coming out of vents. Called them back the next day and a new guy went up to look, Now he tells me I have a major leak in the accumulator....which must have been leaking all along with the Scherader. Total 535.00. No one offers my money back or is willing to take off of a new unit...Needless to say I am very disappointed in Total air, for not trying to help me out when He gave me an estimate for almost 5000.00 for a new unit....Nothing was said about the 535, had he offered to deduct that, I may have gone with them, but went and found a great company in flagler to put the very same unit and treat for salt water for 4100. Will write a review on them when they get finished.....Also they are doing the very day they gave the estimate. C Randall read more
