We recently painted our entire house and removed some defunct '80s intercom panels, including one whose only remaining function was the doorbell. Before our contractors patched things up I looked at the old intercom wires that were sticking out and thought I had picked the correct ones to leave exposed for my new Nest Hello video doorbell. Well, my contractors tucked the other wires into the wall and covered everything up, and to my dismay when I went to install the Nest Hello, I wasn't getting any power to the doorbell! After some troubleshooting I frustratedly sought help from a Nest Pro, and came upon Andrew and Total Control Home Automation on Yelp. I sent Andrew a message on a Saturday asking for urgent help and he was able to come on Monday. He confirmed my suspicion that I had buried the wrong wires and, without charging me for that visit, rescheduled for a couple days later so I could have my contractor come out and bust open my wall again. Andrew returned and got everything set up for me within an hour or two. He even relocated the doorbell a foot or so further from our door so we could have a better angle of the street -- making minimal damage to the stucco while doing so! My contractor was so impressed with how clean Andrew was in his work that they didn't charge me extra to patch and paint things back up! Andrew stuck around to make sure everything was working fine and even followed up with me later to check that things were still good. I have thoughts for other home automation projects down the road that I will definitely be checking in with Andrew for. He's super friendly, responsive, smart, and resourceful. Andrew is great!!! I had a Ring camera on my garage, but it didnt have enough signal to continue to work , so I bouth eero mesh to extned the signal. I found Andre while looking for someone to hook it up. He said he would come and take a look and maybe we do extend the signal with a lower priced product and for a lot less money. After checking on everything, he decided to move my router so it wouldnt have to go thru as many walls. After using longer cables and moving the router across the room, all we had to do was press the reset button on the top of the camera, and after 2 months of it not working, it came back online immediately. Andrew and his assistant were so extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the electric tasks we had for him around our home. They installed can lights in our kitchen, tested and replaced several electrical outlets, installed 2 separate outlets outside in front of our house, and installed dimmer switches. They didn't just install our can lights, but they put some serious thought in mapping out the ideal locations of where the lights should be place. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their work. Not only did they complete everything in one day, but they went above and beyond the call of duty.
