My dogs slept in playroom since they always stay together, I asked if I should bring their beds and was told it was not necessary cots or pallets would be provided but if I wanted to bring something from home like a blanket or toy to have a familiar scent so I provided their blankets. One of my dogs is 15yrs old and has health issues and as I said my other dog has issues with her knees and they were forced to sleep on the concrete floor with only their blankets I brought. Also wanted to bring their huge bowl they drink out of and is enough for 3 dogs and was again told not too they had plenty of bowls. I have videos showing only one small bowl for my three babies to share was there at closing till someone came in on the weekend the next day. When I made multiple complaints finally a pail was brought in which I was told they should have had from the start. I made my complaints and was told that management would be talked to and they would mention compensation because they agreed I didn't not get the services for my dogs that I was assured I would and the incident with dragging my dog was wrong. I waited over a mth and no one ever got back to me I reached out today and was told it was not mandatory to provide cots or make pallets well why the heck didn't you say that and let me bring my fur babies beds when I asked instead of saying you would provide that and refusing their bowl. I was told no compensation and that there were two bowls in there when I have proof there was 1 and why did they bring a pail in then when I complained? Plus more than anything dragging my terrified baby. I will never board my animals there again since it's excuses and no accountability. To say you sent the same person u have had problems with before since multiple complaints about them from other people back to training after it took me showing I had the video of my fur baby being dragged. That person shouldn't even be allowed to work there if it's not just me complaining. Just terrible and I hate to have to post this but it's necessary. I will not say that no one there is good because that's not true. There are some staff that truly love the animals but unfortunately this took place and ruins it for the good ones.

We never have had a bad experience here. They treat the dogs like family. I have also taken advantage of Max the dog trainer. We have done group classes and in home class. While our pups are not the doggie daycare type, they were stinky. I stopped in and spoke with the owner, Josh. I was impressed with his passion for his business and his knowledge of the Fort Walton Beach area. After talking with him, I completed an information sheet on the dogs. It was great to see the vaccine records checked before the dogs could be groomed. Kaylee, the groomer, called me and we scheduled the appointments. Over the phone, Kaylee was so personable. In person she was so professional and positive about our dogs. When we picked them up, the dogs both smell good and are SOOOO SOFT. If we lived here, Kaylee would be our groomer! When we arrived to drop them off, the staff wasn't friendly or inviting, which should have been our tell-all. Walking back to the kennel, it was dark, cold, uninviting, and sad. The worst part was picking them up. We arrived early, which gave us the true picture of their time there. They were so frantic to get out of there, they weren't happy to see us, but instead blazed past us for the front door like they were trying to escape. We've never seen them act this way. Despite having "outdoor access" their beds and blankets smelled so badly of pet waste we had to discard them, and they were having to lay in that filth and stink because they seemed to have had nowhere else to go. They also had never been given their toys or treats. The staff was as cold and unfriendly as when we left them, we should have run for our lives and never ever left our babies there. Expensive and horrible.

I have just recently finished a Happy Hound training program with my 14-month-old Poodle mix with Tara Siefring of the Happy Hound, and the difference in our stubborn little girl, Jackie, is like night and day. Jackie is not an aggressive dog, but she is quite hard-headed, and like most young, confident dogs, she wants to do what she wants to do. But after our first session with Tara, Jackie was already responding, and by the third week of training, I felt comfortable enough to take Jackie into the park near my home off-leash. Of course three weeks is not the whole story, and Jackie and I have a lot more work to do, but we are on the right path. And not only is she better behaved, but maybe even more important, I have a clearer idea of what it takes to lead her to better behavior. So Jackie and I have both learned a great deal about better behavior from Tara! Tara herself is knowledgeable, dedicated, and great to work with. She'll come to your house for private training, or board your dog for more intensive work. After your dog finishes a Happy Hound program successfully, Tara offers ongoing Saturday morning group sessions for socialization and learning new techniques/tricks. She also maintains a Facebook group for her clients, and her Happy Hound website is packed with all sorts of dog information. Our training involved the use of an electronic collar, but STOP! Don't go away because of that! These are not the scary "shock collars" from years ago. Tara had me hold the receiver unit in my hand before she ever put it on Jackie, and even at a setting of 20 (out of 100), I could barely feel a buzz. And that was MUCH lower than the setting we use for Jackie. Jackie has now learned that when the collar goes on, it's time for fun, so it is effective, but it's not a threat to her. So, if you have reservations about using an electronic collar, I hope you'll re-think your position and give it a try. You won't be sorry. It should be clear by now that I highly recommend Tara Siefring and the Happy Hound for your dog training needs! You and your dog will be happier for it!

We provided everything: his crate, toys, custom-cooked meals (beef, carrots, rice), dry food, water and food bowls, even a special chew stick. All they had to do was keep him safe, fed, and take him out. When we picked him up, they casually said he was "fine" -- just "a bit aggressive during the storm." That's a lie. They wouldn't even bring him out to us. We had to open the kennel ourselves, and he came out *terrified,* shaking, and trying to escape like his life depended on it. Once in the car, he shed an abnormal amount from stress. When we got home, the horror became clear: - His bowls and food containers were returned empty, but our dog was starving. - The chew stick was missing. - He drank and ate frantically as soon as he got home. - He struggled to urinate, and when he did, it was dark brown, thick, and painful. - He could barely poop -- then suddenly had 5 massive bowel movements and 11 urinations within few hours. His stomach was rock-hard and painful to touch. This poor dog clearly wasn't let outside, wasn't fed properly (if at all), and was likely locked in a small room for two days like in jail. This is not just unprofessional -- it's neglectful and cruel. I regret ever trusting them with my dog. If you care about your pet's health and emotional well-being, please go somewhere else. P.S. A year and a half ago he was a small puppy and this place under previous owner. This time dog was never been outside for 2 days. Never fed. He was very scared. The quality of this dog's "hotel" scared even German Shepherd! If I can put -10 stars, I would. There is no qualified stuff there and overall all conditions for the dogs are terrible. Super small place, packed with scared dogs all types and they are barking so loud all the time, so you can't talk to the stuff at all. So the stuff didn't even have a chance to hear any instructions of your dog. This place is not for a dog you love, definitely!
