I saw an estate sale posted online and, since I live in the neighborhood, decided to check it out. We arrived at 6:03 a.m.--just three minutes after the address was posted--yet there were already 25 people on the list. No one was around the house or double parked, which makes it obvious the owner shares the address with friends or frequent customers before it's posted. It's also clear the company caters to dealers, both through this practice and the low prices they give them. This is disappointing and unfair to the families who trust them to handle their loved ones' estates. Please be cautious--other companies will provide fairer prices and more transparency. I will not be returning to any future sales.

A.k.a. you're not gonna get a $5000 item for a dollar. But you will get many amazing things for a great price! I have loved so many of the fantastic things I have purchased. It would have given them a five star but as I was checking out, I noticed someone at the tables on the opposite side of me, looking at two loppers. I mentioned that I didn't notice the loppers earlier to the cashier (who was super sweet). She turned around to look at the loppers, then asked her colleague, who was stationed at the jewelry, if the loppers were on hold for someone. Instead of hearing what she was saying, he thought it was appropriate to get angry at the customer who was looking at them. He was so angry that he must have forgotten how to be a human, because basically just yelled at the customer, saying "No!" and huffed as he furiously waved to where I was standing, indicating that the customer should be on the side where I was standing. Did he think the customer couldn't speak English? Is that why he stopped using his words and just waved his hands? From a customers perspective, this was wildly off putting. Even my partner and his mom and the lady who checked me out were shocked.

The following day he called me to tell me he was outside my door with another check because he determined that something was actually pure rather than plated. I would never have known. I've had some luck here but I wouldn't ever make a special trip just for this. I typically add it to a Martinez-Benicia-Port Costa outing. Some of my scores have been Corning Ware, Pyrex, blue Delphite depression glass, and a series of small original oil paintings depicting island scenes (my kid fell in love with them). Prices run high but it's still worth a visit if you're going to be in the area.

I frequent estate sales to collect items and these people must just get their business referred to them, because they couldn't have cared less as to how rude they were and they have such a terrible attitude towards the people in the house that were shopping. Even asking questions about upcoming estate sales they had, they snooted at me because I wasn't on their mailing list and would not tell me, but they were telling other people that they knew in the house. I would never use these people and would not recommend them. There are so many other companies out there that would be appreciative and grateful to receive business. TERRIBLE!

Without warning, there was a sudden influx of strangers lined up for blocks and now I've come to find out this will be happening again tomorrow and on Sunday. Simple signage outside and a note in our mailbox would've been appropriate. We can barely get in and out of our front door or driveway.

There were No prices listed for most items upstairs, so you had to stand in a long line to ask a person (and then have to decide while standing there if you wanted something- I'd have probably bought more if there had been at least a price range/estimate while I was browsing). More annoyingly, they sold an EMPTY container of lotion to me. Everything in the bathroom looked new (in boxes or could be seen as full- e.g. a clear bottle of toner or still had a plastic seal on the top). I bought a couple of items (& reshelved a couple too pricey items) -- one of the items was mosturizer in an opaque jar (peter thomas roth) that the Pricer told me was worth $50+ bucks (which was why the total for my items was way more than I had tried to estimate, not knowing the prices or being familiar with some of the brands). I got home to find that mosturizer jar was EMPTY (there was enough to cover 1 finger/maybe cover 1 cheek). Yes, *I* should have checked, but also I feel like they could have split up (new vs. used) sections or even just put a note warning that some of the items were used - so I would have opened it before buying. (and of course there's no returns so I couldn't go back and ask for a non-empty one). sigh. Not sure I'll go to another one of their sales, or at least I will be very very cautious next time.
