I was referred to Total Health Chiropractic in May after awakening one morning to terrible pain from a pinched nerve in my lower back and pain shooting down my right leg. I had difficulty walking any distance. I met with Dr. Miller and he assessed me and a plan of treatment was set up. I began the next day...and I believe by the 2nd or 3rd treatment I began to feel relief and continued improvement over the ensuing visits. I received a variety of care including traction, manual adjustments, electrical stimulation to my lower back, and hydra bed therapy (wow that was amazing!) All the staff were very professional and knowledgeable regarding what they were doing and demonstrated a genuine commitment to a good outcome. Dishonest business practice? I was referred to THC by a relative for a bulging disc in my neck. After x-rays and meeting with doctor Miller regarding options I opted for their spinal decompression over surgery. The cost was just over $9600 if paid up front and more if broken into payments. I recorded the conversation and brought the full payment in prior to starting the sessions. To my surprise the process worked and relieved the chronic pain in my neck! Less than a year afterwards I got a call from the office inquiring about an outstanding balance. I informed the caller I had paid ALL cost up front as offered. She said ok, she'll look into it. After another 6 months I received the same inquiry again and again I informed them there should be no balance and to please resolve this with their accounting. I had put this behind me until recently when I developed a bulging disc in my lower back and went to THC thinking I'm a top customer and would discuss my back with doc Miller. After sitting in a waiting room for 30min the gal came and got me, took me to the (accounting) desk and informed me she couldn't help me. She passed me off to anothrr guy. Confused, I asked what's going on and he informed me the doctor couldn't see me because my account was in collections and he couldn't even discuss it with me! (What The ....?). I asked for my transaction history which he provided. It showed my lump sum deposit and then per treatment deductions against my deposit up to and beyond the (one time) amount I paid!! As if I would give up that much cash from my account just for them to hold and chip from when I could have made the payments on a weekly basis myself! when checking my credit (I have no credit good or bad) I was floored to find the only thing on my report is a $343 from THC that NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE. HORRIBLE. Total scam. The kind of place that gives chiropractic a bad name. I went in here with acute neck pain on a weekday, hoping for an adjustment so I could get back to work. 45 minutes and $180 later (for a "consultation" and x-rays), no adjustment. I came the next day. More money, more "consultation." Their plan: $1500 for the next two weeks of treatment. I asked if I could *please* get an adjustment that day to help the neck pain. No, no, they said. Not till you start the $1500 treatment plan. "Are you kidding me?!" I was infuriated. I was asked to interview here. I did..... Let me say....DON'T WORK HERE!! First, the interview was a "cattle call". We sat in a conference room and I felt that we basically got "talked down to". One of the office mottos is " you get what you deserve". Take it as you like.... You got one question in private... "Why do you feel your a good fit for this job? " No worries there... However.... When I got called back and asked to call for an appointment for a second private interview, I returned the call. I called back 3x to set up a time and got hung up on, I left messages wanting to set up a time and the person was "not available ". I feel that was rude and inconsiderate. I had an interview to be an INTERN due to clerical issues with my massage credentials. As a pro with over 18 years of experience, I was denied due to me having a conflict of interest of owning my own business. When I called out the office manager, she quickly changed her tune. It's all about the $ with this practice, not the health of the patient. I wish I had checked reviews before visiting this facility. The low reviews here only validate my experience. You get presented with a "package" health plan that in my case was near $1000 (I have simple back pain). It wasn't until I balked at it they presented 2 alternative plans without bells and whistles. Sure if I could afford it, I understand paying for the extras, so keep in mind this is their approach to "Total". So many options you don't really need. And they leave that decision to the patient. Don't put it in a package plan if it's optional. You go to the experts for their experience, not an a la carte. And their version of exercises, are instructions to do at home, for additional $. Why copied papers aren't part of the health package baffles me. Do NOT pay for the exercises. You can get that information off the internet. Most importantly, be mindful of their insurance billing. Which for me has been non-existent after 12 visits. Even after I explained I was nearing my deductible, and they could see in their system I was close, they proceeded to charge me a payment greater then my remaining deductible. I see every claim posted to my insurance and in over 2 weeks, they have not sent anything in. And every week I get the same excuse, "We're transitioning to a new system". My final criticism is progress. I'll give them the credit that my back is feeling better. Not too much credit, it's only somewhat better. But for the price, the progress just isn't there. I am experiencing the same adjustment with every visit. Makes me feel like all I'm doing is making the doctor's car payment. So in summary: * don't take a package plan since there is no savings only commitment by you (you're stuck if you don't like them), pay visit to visit; * don't waste money on the exercise instructions; * watch your explanation of benefits to make sure they are billing them and not just drawing from your bank account; * and hopefully expect relief but with the same experience visit to visit read more

Beware!  I was defrauded by Dr Miller. After seeing him on 8 West, I made appointment to see if he could help with middle back pain. I provided my MRI & CT scan results which indicated bulging discs in my thoracic spine. After his review he sold me his 10 week DRX9000 plan. Their $9,000 plan included numerous items of dubious value (supplements, orthopedic pillow, exercise balls, rock tape applications, etc), but it's all or nothing. You can't choose which items you want to purchase. When suffering from chronic severe pain, you grab onto anything you think can possibly help. The first week he began treating my cervical spine which caused head and neck pain. When I asked them to change treatment to my thoracic spine, they said the DRX doesn't treat that area of the spine. They assured me on numerous occasions that treating my neck will help with my middle back. I believed them and continued the 5 week DRX program. At the end of the 5 weeks we agreed the program was not helping me so I did not continue with the SpineForce portion. They promised to refund the unused portion of the plan. I sent them an itemization of my expected refund of $1,765.41 but they refunded only  $943.21. They came up with additional charges that were not part of the plan cost. I ended up paying over $7,500 for a plan that not only didn't help my middle back pain but also caused constant neck pain. Had they been honest with me that the DRX couldn't treat my thoracic discs, I would never have purchased their plan. I'm convinced I was sold the plan under false pretenses. They are in business to get as many clients in the door and charge as much as they can. I hope nobody else is defrauded like I was. read more

As a veteran, my care was at this provider was offered through the VA. In the beginning, I had no issues. On my second stint of visits, I had a couple of issues. One of the office ladies at scheduling suggested that I get a massage (Monday, Nov. 5th) as part of my treatment plan covered through the VA. On my return visit a week later (Monday, Nov. 12th) I had the massage followed by my adjustment. When I was checking out to schedule my next appointment, another one of the office ladies told me that the massage was not covered and that I would have to pay the $90. Megan told me that they did not find out until Friday that it was not covered. I was shocked that I was not told until checking out. There was an adequate chance for them to notify me at any point. After being checked in by Megan, I sat in the waiting room for 15 minutes prior to having the massage, while I watched Megan decorate the Christmas Tree and at no point did she tell me that the VA was not covering the massage that I was waiting for. I had attempted to reach the office manager Corrine through visiting the clinic, email, a letter, and phone calls. She left a voicemail, but has been unreachable. I have since found a new provider and have informed the VA regarding how they have handled this situation. If you are looking for a trustworthy and credible chiropractor go elsewhere. read more

He charged you $7000-$10,000 to sit on his little machine and that is put on a credit card or cash. It does not work nor will it work. He makes you think that it will. We took my mother in law to total health and was very disappointed. She did not get any relief after spending about $9,000-$10,000. It was very disappointing. I was very frustrated after our first consultation . He told her how much it would cost to go ahead with their treatment and when I spoke up and asked if we could talk about it before committing, Dr. Miller actually gave us an attitude and closed up his books like he was ticked that we wanted time. So after feeling very pressured, she did commit. I would never recommend going there and spending the money. This is my second go around with THC because the first time I walked out due to what I considered poor customer service. I had a coupon for $40 exam and as I was about to get the exam a family emergency popped up and I had to leave. I'm almost certain I left the coupon with the receptionist. I rescheduled the exam and explained what happened and was told they didn't have my coupon and they wouldn't honor it. I was furious and to make matters worse the receptionist was rude. Fast forward a few years and I received a mailer about sciatic pain which I have experienced for over 5 years. I figured I would give them a second chance. I can assure you after reading some of the reviews here, people just expect too much and look for anything to complain about. The first visit- you're going to wait a while before you see the doctor. Wondering about insurance costs? Call your provider! Worried about the "sales pitchy" vibes? Get over it, it's called entrepreneurship and Dr. Miller is doing an exceptional job at it! Think it's too expensive? Go to another office that's sub par and doesn't offer opportunities to save money or win awesome free gifts and still charges you very close to what THC does. I've had three visits and each one has been an absolute pleasure! The staff is friendly and accommodating and the office is very modern and clean. The staff is informative on contests to win prizes or how to save money on your next visit (and yes this review is one way I'm going to save $15 off my next visit, however it doesn't require a 5star rating to get the discount). That's marketing and advertising people and it's firing on all cylinders! In addition, they do new client dinners at Branns steakhouse and allow you to bring up to 5 guests. Of course you have to sit through their "sales pitch" and they might try to sign your guests up for services, but it's the least you can do for some free food, right? I think Dr. Miller and staff do a great job and I highly recommend their services. And by the way, when Dr. Miller learned about my poor first experience he showed empathy and vowed that this time I would not be treated like that and if I was, to ask for him personally because that's not how he runs his business. read more

I too tried to apply and then interview with the company. I was told 2 different times for my interview which I had no idea was a Group interview. Because one of my emails said 15 minutes difference I was 4 minutes late? The person at the front desk was rude. I tried to contact them and totally got the run around. SCAM SCAM SCAM!! Do not go here! I would leave negative stars if i could. Of course it seems to be a good experience at first but then ya just a sales guy trying to run a very unprofessional business. He does not care about the patient at all. I've had their own receptionist ask me if I can find her another job because they are so crooked. (I'm a recruiter) You don't even see the doctor that they rave about, he tries to sell you ridiculous products and then charges you amounts that you don't agree to. I am getting a bill 2 years later that I didn't agree to. I've tried calling and talking to someone several times and was told i had to talk to the office manager who was not in the office and she would call me back. Never received a call back. When I did talk to someone she told me it was my fault and my insurance companies fault for not explaining it to me. I stopped going, thank god, because I got the feeling they were lying to me and now here we are today. A huge bill 2 years later! I paid each time I went because I told them I didn't want to have a bill and said I didn't want a service if it wasn't covered. You know what they told me? I should have said I didn't want the service if it wasn't covered 100% not just if it wasn't covered. I was at a loss for words. Don't let the fancy office and the fact that staff uses walkie talkies fool you, the actual relationship between the doctor and the patient is non existent. Literally. I waited 45 minutes and never saw the doctor. My appointment was 1135 and I left at 12:20. When I got up to talk to someone about the time, the receptionist said she knew he was running behind, and apparently didn't think it was something I needed to know. I walked out at that point. Unless you have hours to spare, avoid this office. There are so many other chiros out there, I have no doubt I will be able to find someone else for a simple adjustment. read more

STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. This is a VERY SERIOUS WARNING. This is the most corrupt, unethical healthcare practice I have ever experienced. Total Health Chiropractic is a HUGE scam, with a bunch of criminals just waiting to prey on the next innocent victim who walks through the doors. I threw my back & have been in tremendous pain so I made an appointment at THC where I thought I could simply get adjusted & start feeling better. Instead of treating me first & foremost, some receptionist insisting on "giving me a tour of their beautiful facility." You would think a chiropractor's office would understand what back pain is & not make someone with back pain to a bunch of extra walking, right?!! I knew the moment the "tour" started this was going to be a scam. The receptionist tried setting the stage & playing psychological games with me by saying "I sure hope Dr. MILLER accepts you into his program." What a joke!!! His "program" is for people to pay THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS UP FRONT for a huge package of adjustments, BEFORE they even bill your insurance!!! All this place cares about is cash or credit card payments!! After the tour, I had a consultation/exam/XRays with Dr. MILLER. He conveniently didn't have time to adjust me, I was told I had to come back another day to get adjusted. (So they could charge me for another visit.) When I go to check out, Megan tells me I owe almost $200 & and "that's after my insurance covered their share, so the remaining balance is what I owe." They HADN'T EVEN BILLED MY insurance yet, she just straight up lied to me & demanded payment even though Dr. MILLER told me Blue Cross Blue Shield covers the exam/X-rays AND on top of that, there was a video in the waiting room advertising "$45 exam/rays.....$189 in savings!!!" That they refused to honor because they said it was "an old coupon", rolled their eyes at me & were incredibly disrespectful. After I left the office I called my insurance company immediately and they told me that I should have only had a $20 co-pay. I returned later that day to speak to the office manager about their corrupt unethical charges and she said that once the insurance pays their part then I will get a "credit" (NOT REFUND, BUT CREDIT.) toward future visits. It was a total contradiction of what the other girl told me. I will NEVER RETURN to THC! The most interesting part of all is my insurance company has never even received a claim from them. I would highly advise anyone considering to go to that place to think twice. They do not care about helping people with back issues or back pain. They simply want to quickly herd you in like a bunch of cattle and get credit card and cash payments from you BEFORE THEY EVEN TREAT YOU!!!!!!!! An ethical chiropractic company, will #1 treat you and then #2 you make a co-pay while waiting to see what insurance will cover. This definitely isn't the case at Total Health Chiropractic. The craziest part about this entire experience with total health chiropractic, I ran into a man at my new chiropractic office who also used to go to THC and they conned him Into using a machine that apparently was over $7000 for one single usage and they scared this poor man into telling him if he doesn't pay the $7000 they're going to send attorneys after him. I had a pain in the neck and I visited this office sometime in June/July 2016 only after they confirmed that they accept my insurance and are in network. In fact they confirmed they take my insurance over the phone before booking the appointment and also when I visited their office before sending me to see the actual doctor. To my surprise, after meeting the doctor they asked me to pay $350 and also that they will discuss the treatment schedule and rest of the payment plan on my next visit. I had to tell them that this is not a fair practice and I visited only since they told me that they take my insurance .I should be paying my CoPay only.The doctor agreed and asked me to pay my Copay which I promptly did. I did not have a good experience and called them the next day saying that I would not want to continue.The doctor himself came on the phone to negotiate that i should take the treatment from them and I informed him that I am not happy with the way this was dealt with.If you do not accept a particular insurance, you should tell the patient upfront on the phone or before booking the appointment. After that, I did not hear from them.To my surprise , I got a $700(approximately) bill in December and that too when I had not taken any treatment. I have not had to deal with a similar situation earlier and that too from a respectable profession of a Doctors office. read more

I went to total health chiropractic for pain relief but in the end all they did was take advantage of me. At first, it started with a free visit X-ray and an adjustment which I was not informed till the end that I had to pay for which was over $100. Used my credit card. Then after speaking with the financial office I was told that my insurance would cover majority of my bill and that I would ONLY have to pay $1600 up front to cover my care plan for the rest of the year. It was August so 6 months worth of treatments. I had them double check my insurance to make sure. Which they did ,so they say. I didn't have that kind of money (1600)so they suggested I apply for Care Credit it would be interest free. I applied and was approved and paid the $1600. The whole time I was going 2-3 times a week not informed that my insurance was not covering because of my deductible. Just one day I was stopped and told I owed over $300 and that my insurance didn't cover. I said ok can I talk to the finance lady. I was then told she was busy and she can talk to me my next appointment so I asked will my bill go up any higher as I keep coming. I was told no the $300 was just to cover the remainder of what's not covered. After my next appointment finance lady still busy and my bill was over $500. I explained how I was lied to and I will just quit coming and use what was left of the $1600 to cover it since I won't be back to finish my care plan I prepaid for. Months later I get a bill for $850, I called and was told they will resubmit my insurance. More months later I receive a bill for $1,065.28! Even though it doesn't make sense I asked to make a payment plan and was told they don't do payment plans. I said well I'll pay when I get my taxes. A new finance manager calls me in October and says I can make a payment plan. Sets it up sends me the contract then 2 weeks after my first payment in October I am told they will not accept my payment plan. Then was told just send what I can as long as it's before the due date I will no longer be charged a late fee. Every month on the 21st I pay $100. Only to get a letter after my December payment that I am still being charged a late fee and that if I don't pay $890.28 by January it will go into collection. CROOKS and I have all proofs of all the emails and documentation of my statement. I have my care plan for the year, my bill, my payment plan contract, and my receipts that show I paid on time. Miller is not a medical doctor and is, therefore, not qualified to diagnose or treat my father's condition, but he coerced him with high pressure and false hope. I went to Total Health Chiropractic due to the discounted consultation and xrays special they were running at the time. Long story short I was suffering from very painful chronic sacroiliac pain for 8 weeks which I had gone to my old Chiropractor 4-5 times for and got no relief. After one visit with Dr. Clark there was noticeably more mobility and less pain. After my second visit even more relief much to my surprise and excitement. They are very thorough and take time to answer all your questions, dont make you feel rushed and advised me on health tips I could do to help improve my condition. I called THC and asked if they accepted my insurance and they said yes- PERFECT. Got there-and was blown away about how professional the staff was. Very well dressed, very friendly. They gave me a tour and showed me all the different aspects that they had to offer. They even sat me in a room where a gift bag and welcome letter with my name on it waited for me. I met with Doctor Miller-he said that their insurance person was out but they "thought" I hadn't reached my deductible with my insurance yet so I would have to pay $180 total for the x-ray and consultation and when I come back for my results the adjustment is free. My pain had been going on for 5 days, I was desperate- I paid for it and got the exam done. I go back today and mention that I had talked to my insurance and I had met my deductible- this is where I find out that they are OUT OF NETWORK and I would have to pay for all "treatments" that he recommended until I met my out of network deductible. Also- that the adjustment was not included in the $180 I already paid. No thanks. I pay for insurance for a reason that covers chiropractic visits. Maybe I didn't ask the right questions but I feel like when I asked if they accept my insurance they should have told me it was just at a discounted rate and they didn't directly work with them. On top of that- I felt that Dr.Miller was more about getting money. It was very sales like and not much empathy. I may seem like I'm naive or a sucker- but sorry I'm not. Trust the negative reviews when they say this place is bad news. I worked here for a few days and learned the ins and outs of how they do business. These people are deceptive and manipulative. They disrespect their employees and withhold the truth from their customers. They are pushy and trust me when I say EVERY interaction with their customers is scripted and impersonal in every way. They do not care about helping you. They want your money and they make this very clear to their employees. They are salespeople, not healthcare providers. Everything about this place is planned to draw you in and take your money. The beginning of every shift we talked about how much money we were making and how we could increase that. They also focus a ton on convincing customers to leave good reviews. Because they clearly have such bad ratings. This business should be shut down. It is unethical. Ignore their replies to these reviews as they are trying to make excuses and lie their way into making the reviewer sound crazy. Listen to the people, not the corporations and the people who drive fancy cars, live in huge houses, and have their own personal assistant who manages their personal and professional calendars tell you anything about good business and care. Where to begin... I feel as though I have been scammed. Upon calling to make an appointment so told the girl on the phone that I had Priority Health and that I wanted to make sure I'd be covered before going through with anything, she said not to worry they do a "complementary" benefits check at my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment I was toured around and sat in a lounge area to fill out paperwork while they checked my ID and insurance. The girl touring me around asked me a few questions, one of them being what my biggest concern was, I told her price/budgeting (THE SECOND TIME I BROUGHT THIS UP). She came back and told me that they were not in network with my insurance but I should still go ahead with the $49 consultation (the first time this price had been brought up) and they would get back to me on if I would be covered or not. I told her I was not interested in the consultation if my insurance would not be covering anything. She told me to still go through with the consultation and she would look into my insurance further. I met with Dr. Miller and he performed a brief and impersonal exam and had a tech do the rest. He also said I would be getting X-rays done, me thinking they knew about my insurance issues I figured this would be included in the consultation price, especially since nothing was otherwise mentioned about the price of the X-rays. Got the X-rays, went to checkout, come to find out my total was $229. I told the girl at the front that that was not what she had told me in the lounge, and that I was under the impression that I was only paying $49. Nope, X-rays are not included. I asked if I were to go somewhere covered by my insurance if they would at least be able to send my X-rays over, she said yes, but according to my new chiro (very sweet, covered by my insurance, not trying to scam me) it takes 2-3 weeks to get these sent from Total Health. Basically, I paid the money and I'm never going back. Don't waste your time, or money at this scam of a place. read more

I was hopeful I finally may have found help for my chronic neck and lower Back pain when making an appointment with TOTAL HEALTH CHIROPRACTIC. I was treated very nice on my visits and was given 1st class attention offering me treats and a selection of different kinds of refreshments. BUT, when I told DR. Miller I just didn't know how I could commit to the very large cost of his treatment plan, he abruptly shut my file and treated me like I was scum. He acted angry ,like I just wasted his time! Well my time was wasted too. And my hopes vanquished. Even if I miraculously got enough money, I wouldn't go back and receive treatment from a man who made me feel insignificant and not worth his time. I'm glad others had good results.. I had never been to a chiropractor prior to making an appointment with Total Health Chiropractic so I am unable to compare them with other offices but I did find them very knowledgeable and the staff is very friendly. I was recently diagnosed with spinal stenosis. The only remedy I have heard about is surgery. Well, I didn't believe this would be the ONLY way to relieve my constant pain. I went to them just to see if their therapy could help or hinder my situation. Let me tell you, it has totally helped. I was in constant pain daily and now the pain is a lot less and certainly not daily. TURN AROUND AND RUN!!!!! I went to the practice to check it out. I paid cash for my first visit and all x-rays etc (they par with my insurance so I shouldn't have had to pay anything but a small co-pay). I then went back for my "fact finding visit" or whatever they called it. They charged me another 196.00 for the visit which BCBS said should have been covered. They are refusing to bill this to the insurance. BCBS even called and talked to Corynn who said she would take care of it. I called the next day and she said she couldn't help me and sent me to her supervisor. I have an HRA that covers uncovered expenses, but they will not give me the money until THC puts the claim through. I am getting the run around from this "pretty little place" is ridiculous. I was seen by a physiatrist after this visit and she told me to RUN!! do not believe them, do not believe their hype of healing, they are only wanting money. They talk a good game but do not care about people. Even their billing department Professional Billing is awful. I can't get a live person other that Kendra who was very curt with me. I tried to get her supervisor but there isn't a way to get around her. read more
