Avoid this company and their shady business practices. I imagine that this company has caused many issues for people that simply did not exist. I submitted a claim through my American Water protection plan to determine if there was a leak coming from the corroded cast iron sewer line in my crawlspace. As it turns out, our protection plan does not cover what we were about to deal with. We have occasionally smelled a bit of sewage odor that would dissipate after some time. This is what prompted me to call about my protection plan. Total Plumbing was the company assigned to my claim. Jeff and Roy came out to my home to inspect. I told them the issue and they went to go check. They had me turn on the water in the bathroom because if there was a leak, that's where I suspected it was coming from as I just inspected the line. They found nothing there. They went around to the kitchen area drain lines which are just to the right of the crawlspace entrance. Once they came back, they showed me a picture of the PVC drain line completely sheared in half. I have just done extensive flooring renovations to my home and have been in the crawlspace quite frequently as of late to complete some more work. I know for a fact that there has not been any water in that area within the past week. My dishwasher was also running at the time they arrived so if that pipe was really split in half, they would have noticed the water in the crawlspace before they even entered. So, now I was left with the choice of leaving it be while water floods my crawlspace or pay $385 to have them fix the problem that they created. If my pipe had been like that the entire time, my crawlspace would have flooded because of how much we use the kitchen sink, dishwasher, and the washing machine which all drain into that area. They "fixed" the broken pipe and got their money. My crawlspace was left full of water after completing the job because they couldn't be bothered to clean their mess. These technicians were clearly very dishonest people and I am extremely frustrated with this entire situation. I am sure the corruption runs deep with this entire company. They also had the gall to tell me that they prefer cash instead of credit after pulling this stunt. And to top it all off, I called to speak to someone about the situation and the woman was completely dismissive of everything. I was told that I would receive a call but never did. read more

I had a plumbing problem last year homeserv sent out total plumbing they didn't fix the repair and my ceiling leaked. I had to call my contractor who had to repair the leak. I have another issue. I called HomeServe today. They were sending out total plumbing again. Next thing you know I get a text from total plumbing that they canceled because I an issue with them before I do not recommend them. they can't handle criticism! read more

This company was sent out to me through HomeServe, and I'm very disappointed with how the situation was handled. On the first visit, the technician misdiagnosed the problem. Because of that mistake, I had to wait another week for a second appointment. The second technician who came out was actually very cordial and professional, but all he could do was tell me that additional access needed to be made to the subfloor before they could repair the shower strainer and trap. That's exactly what he wrote in his notes. The issue is that the first technician could have determined this right away. Instead, I wasted valuable time and now have to make separate arrangements that could have already been in motion. The way this was handled shows a lack of consistency, wasted time for the customer, and poor service overall. read more

I had opportunity to use them again 9/18/25. I had look the tech look for a leak (high water bill). They promised service window of 10 to 2. Brian arrive at 11 am and very please he came earlier than later. I advise Brian what i seeking, he went around all bathrooms n checked the basement n water meter too. He found the issue and i agree on the task and price. It was fair price n quick service. In addition he had great altitude, very professional n provided excellent customer service. It is really unclear to me about the negative comments. I had experienced with three service techs n all exhibited same excellent professionalism. They earned my business n my advice is discount the negative remarks n give them opportunity gain your business. read more

This company went above and beyond for me today. Had a sewer problem and the first tec that came out couldn't unclog sewer. But got a phone call from Total Plumbing that they were send another tec to try and resolve the problem. Well, sure enough, Paul came out and saved the day. He was great explained everything in terms I could understand. When he was done he cleaned the entire bedroom, floor and walls. Even ran a wash to be sure washer was working properly. What more could I say that could show my appreciation for his and Total Plumbing's due diligence in resolving my sewer issue. P.S. Total Plumbing is sending out another tech tomorrow morning to put a camera through the system. And thank Homeserve for having such a great company working with them. Thank you. A technician was sent out through HomeServe for a leak with our tub. Appointment has been scheduled since Sunday. Tech came in my house with dirty boots and wearimy way too much cologne. He looked in our access panel which we knew where the leak was coming from. Told me someone would be in contact with me to schedule. TOTAL waste of time is what they should be called. HomeServe is now sending someone else out that will be actually doing the repair not just looking at it. I wouldn't recommend Total Plumbing, I'd definitely go with someone else. read more

If I could them 0 stars I would . I been with this company for sometime and now I sad to say I have to cancel my business with them. Total plumbing is the very worst plumbing their contractor Antonio is unethical , unprofessional , obnoxious and rude he didn't want to do the job he said it is not same day service he told us even though we are under warranty we will have to pay out of pocket and stated he wasn't sure when if he was even going to come back. At the end of the investigation he told me he wasn't even going to turn off the hot water heating faucet so now my basement is filled of fumes , hot and flooding. This is the second time had to do business with him and he messed up my kitchen wall and wasn't even the one who came back to do the work . I need less to say yall will lose a lot of business with a uneducated slouch on your team. read more

Run, run and do not waste your time with this Plumbing Company. They dispatched a Tech to my home, he was dirty, rude, unprofessional and walked through my home with dirty boots, no respect or regard. The Tech was dispatched to my home for an odor/methane gas sewer leak evaluation for the lateral sewer pipe from the street service that connects to my home. I had PECO Emerg out bc the smell was thought to be the odor of rotten eggs /sewage assumed to be a gas leak. The knowledgeable PECO rep told me it was a Methane gas issue and sewage causes that. The issue was outside to call and have a Plumber to scope the lateral pipe and determine if there was a leak or problem with the pipe that protects my home from sewage backing up into my home etc. The Total Plumbing tech did nothing, didn't touch a thing in my home, nor evaluate with a tool, he walked in and said everything smells okay, no need for me to evaluate. Yet at the guidance of PECO I was told to keep all windows open and exhaust fans in the attic to vent the gas odor. It had been 6 +hours of the attic vent pulling the air out and every window of my home open. I asked if he could please call his supervisor and see if he could scope and look at the lateral pipe outside. He replied NOPE. Please don't waste your time, your money, your energy. Tylor and Total Plumbing are not worth your time, energy or money. sad I love to support our local businesses. Home Serve sent Total Plumbing to my house when my kitchen faucet sprung a leak. Although Home Serve denied the repair, Total Plumbing was willing to step up and offer to replace my faucet for just shy of $400 if I SUPPLIED THE FAUCET! Come to find out, my faucet only needed a $20 pullout faucet hose that took less than 5 minutes to replace. Don't count on Total Plumbing, to be honest with you when it comes to what is wrong with your plumbing when the only thing on their mind is how to separate you from your wallet! read more

We have a leak in our basement and contacted HomeServe, they sent a tech. named Dave who "amazingly" diagnosed the problem as a broken water supply line WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO SHUT OFF THE WATER, WITHOUT DOING A PRESSURE TEST AND WITHOUT ADDRESSING THE INTERIOR LEAK. This guy also notified our HomeServe Insurance that the problem was caused by a gas company issue a few weeks ago - WITHOUT DOING A PRESSURE TEST, WITHOUT ANY PROOF AT ALL OF WHAT WAS ACTUALLY WRONG. So now we have a problem with HomeServe about coverage, and we STILL have a leak in the basement. The ignorant & obnoxious customer service rep simply "blew us off". If the lazy slob they sent to our house is typical of this comany's "technicians" then STEER CLEAR, they'll leave you with the same problem you had, and THEN some. BAIT & SWITCH...BEWARE when dealing with this company! Had them come out through Home Serve insurance to repair a leaky sewage pipe in the basement. Last week plumber came out to access pipe and estimate repairs. Said they would replace ENTIRE length of pipe from where 2nd floor and 1st floor plumbing came joined into pipe, to the where pipe enters floor of basement. Another plumber was sent out today to do the actual work. Instead of effecting the repair as promised, he cuts the pipe below the joint, and just replaces the part that had evident leaking. What a half-assed job! I'm sure his "repair" will fail sooner than later. Not sure if this is the deal they have with Home Serve, to do less than thorough repairs on insurance policy jobs or not. Would not use again, or recommend this company. Thumbs down. read more

Total Plumbing defrauded my HomeServe insurance benefit. they came out for a repair in January. They cut the water supply line that had a leak and replaced a 4 ft. section of the line. The line was poly so they had to make connections on both ends of the area they cut. One of the connections came loose almost right away. I can tell by looking at my water bills from that time. I understand this can happen but it should have been warrantied for a year. The connection came completely loose in June. What happens next is where the fraud comes into play. They came out to repair the connection they made that came loose, and charged my insurance an additional $1,800 telling the insurance company the leak was in a different area. I was there. The plumber that did the repair basically said "our bad, this happens some times". I saw the work they did both times. They 100% lied to the insurance company. This is criminal, and I suggest you stay very far away from this company. Their work is bad and they will rob you when you call them out on it. I will follow up with the Attorney General and better business bureau at a minimum. If i find collusion with HomeServe, I will file a complaint the the insurance commission as well. Stay away. Go with any other plumber. read more

I was fighting this clogged drain for one week before calling HomeServ. They found me Total Plumbing, the hours of arrival was 8-12 he was there by 9 and called when he was 15 mins out. Chris ,the service tech, did a good job unclogging the basement toilet and external sewage drain through my HomeServ contract. He called ahead, and was on time, my daughter was home to receive him, she called me at 1201pm, I was on my way home from appointment, their promised time was 12noon to 4 pm.
