First, I accidentally wrote down the wrong appointment time and arrived 15 minutes late. I understand having policies for no-shows and late arrivals, but being charged a fee for an honest mistake was a tad disappointing. More importantly, while I think the healthcare providers here are extremely knowledgeable i often left feeling like my concerns weren't fully taken seriously. Confidence and expertise are important but so is listening to patients when they feel something isn't right. Sometimes a little more digging is required Because my symptoms continued, I decided to seek care at a different office, and I'm thankful I did. What I had been dealing with appears to have developed into something much more serious. I can't say whether earlier intervention would have changed the outcome, but it has made me wonder if my concerns should have been looked into more closely from the beginning. I'm sharing this in the hope that it encourages providers to listen carefully to their patients. Feeling heard and taken seriously can make a significant difference in a patient's experience and, potentially, their care.

I've been going to this practice for the last several years and really like the doctors. However…read morethis morning when I arrived I realized I did not have my insurance card and was told they could not reach out on my behalf, no problem. After searching through emails and being unable to locate any information for them I asked if I could call my pharmacy and get the info from them since I knew they had just used it to fill a script for me, they said sure try it. After getting them the info I was then told that I'd need to reschedule as I was past my appointment time and I'd also have to pay $40 for missing today's appointment...all while standing in their office the entire time. This is my annual and it also requires me to fast overnight and they did not have another early morning appointment available for the reminder of this month and I told them my insurance expires at the end of the month. I've never had a front desk be so completely unwilling to work with me on something like this and this was with me actually being INSIDE their office, when I begged if there was anything they could do the receptionist told me I was one min late to my 8:15am appointment and I should have arrived earlier....I told her I came straight from dropping my children off at school and am a single mom...she still didn't care, I even asked why she didn't being this up while I stood there on the phone, I could have cash paid for the office visit and given them insurance for running tests....she just shrugged and said it was their policy. I never post reviews but this was over the top for me and her lack of empathy was unreal. I will unfortunately be finding a new doctor after this experience.

It was an easy in and out and I was able to get the results and paperwork back quickly. More recently, I had a health concern that needed antibiotics and possible further care for. I decided to return and had a wonderful experience. The wait time was a little longer, because it wasn't just the urine test, but I was still able to see an NP, Lindsey. She was kind, helpful and I appreciated her approach when it came to advocating for her patient's best care. Overall, I highly recommend this practice. It is clean, organized and professional. The scheduling is also very simple with online booking right on their website. I hope I don't have to return to an urgent care, but if I do, this place will be my choice! Misdiagnosed fracture. Seen June 3rd and advised nothing broken, only treatment is to ice, elevate…read more& rest then follow up with pcd in 2 weeks. Fast forward 2 weeks later...pcd recommended ultrasound which also resulted in ice, elevate & rest. Same day ultrasound performed my xray results were "amended" as fractured knuckle. So over 2 weeks of pain and discomfort, no cast and now possible surgery if bones don't heal. To top it off...no one bothered to call to advise the results of original xray were amended. I happened to review the bill online and found the updated results. Orthopedic doctor confirmed fracture was visible on original xray.

During the appointment, I was not informed that discussing routine or ongoing health topics would convert the visit into a separately billable "dual visit" with additional charges. There was no advance notice, no cost disclosure, and no opportunity to decline those added services. What makes this more frustrating is that the so-called "ongoing condition discussion" they later cited was limited to the doctor briefly asking -- as I was getting up to leave -- whether I needed any prescription refills. That was the extent of it. There was no separate evaluation, no new complaint, and no dedicated problem-focused exam. After receiving the bill, I filed a formal complaint. The organization stated they conducted not one but two "comprehensive reviews," yet at no point did anyone contact me to ask what actually occurred during the visit. Their investigation relied entirely on internal documentation and staff input, without speaking to the patient involved. They acknowledged this but said patient interviews are not standard for billing reviews -- which is concerning when the dispute centers on what was actually communicated to the patient. Both reviews concluded the charges were appropriate and declared the matter closed, without addressing the core issue of disclosure and consent for additional self-pay charges. My takeaway is that this may not be limited to self-pay patients -- it was only caught in my case because, as a self-pay patient, I carefully reviewed the itemized bill. Many patients with insurance may never see or question how a visit was coded or billed. Greater upfront transparency about when a preventive visit becomes separately billable would prevent situations like this. I'm sharing this so other patients can go in better informed than I was.

I started using his associate whom I never really cared for. But after a couple of visits, I did come to feel comfortable with him and realized he was a really good doctor. We'll after about a year he moved away, and so my search for another GP was on again. It worked out well though as I ended up moving myself. I did a lot of research and decided to give Dr Washburn a try. Yes he is quiet, and doesn't trade jokes with you, but I would rather have a doctor that concentrates on me and my medical needs and not ask me how my cousin Eddie is doing or ask me if I saw the football game last night. Dr Washburn listens to you, let's you do the talking, and doesn't interrupt you . It's a busy office, but I've never felt rushed there, and he's not there to judge you. He listens and suggests what would work best for your situation medically and personally. And he has always fit me in when he can, sometimes same day, if I have an unexpected situation come up. He cares about you as a person and not a number or a bother. And the front desk and office staff are great.
