I'm not sure what the glitch was there but that put our job off for several more weeks, which was unfortunate but everything else went great once we got them out here.

The entire process went smoothly and the clean up work was imaculate. You want an "out of body" experience for professional lawn work done right? These are the people to call.

She spoke to several people and the representative from SavATree basically had the best pitch of how great they could make the tree look and the price was reasonable around $500. She has been looking forward to this all year. In AUG the company offered us a further discount for prepaying and we did in the amount of $458.81. A different representative on the phone also commented how great this was going to look. Fast forward to last week (final site survey before install this week), when another representative comes out and says that this is going to look really bad unless we pay more money ...on the order of almost a factor of ten times more...$4800. The company acknowledges that their representative misrepresented what they were going to provide but sees no reason to honor the original effect that we contracted and paid for. They say we wont be happy with that type of light that their representative put in for...I'm no lighting expert and the size of bulbs with technology today seems irrelevant. It also seems irrelevant since they aren't selling us the lights but rather borrowing us their lights and get them back. In essence there shouldn't be any difference in cost stringing a C9 , D4 or whatever they are since they get them back. The effort is putting them up and taking them down. We contracted for a visual effect, not a specific bulb type. They promised a beautiful display for $500, they should deliver that. The lights are temporary and reused, so the cost difference between bulb types is negligible. Installation labor is the real cost, and that was already factored into your prepaid amount. They admitted fault, they should make it right.

After asking around for personal landscaper recommendations, I chose Sunflower. To say I was…read moreimpressed and still love the result is an understatement. Early in the process, I worked closely with one of their talented designers, Sam. She listened to my goals for a xeriscaped and native vegetation yard and made suggestions regarding rock type and color, as well as the most appropriate plants. Her design was beautiful and worked with the landscape and grading (which spoke to her knowledge of plants after working in a nursery as well as her impeccable design aesthetic). When it came time for planting and rock delivery, I worked with Michael, who I nicknamed the "landscape and grade whisperer." He ensured the team laid the drip irrigation and weed paper where it needed to go, artfully placed the river rock and gravel, and planted the trees, shrubs, and flowers in appropriate spots depending on the grading. Even when Michael wasn't on-site, the crew did such an amazing job of carefully placing rock and plants in the most appropriate locations. Nine months later (and after some serious rainstorms, snow, and temperatures anywhere between the high 90s and negative 10s), and still no rock cave-ins, gravel spillage, or vegetation issues. The Sunflower team brought up topics and questions that didn't even occur to me -- things like "I see that the original dry riverbed was to be placed here but, looking at the post-construction grading and location of your drain pipes, I recommend we move it here; is that ok?" And "Seeing where the sun will shine in winter versus summer, I suggest we swap these plants; is that alright with you?" Yes, please! We also used Sunflower when it came time for winterization. They truly do it all and I am so pleased with their work. Highly recommend!
