I came here 5/22/26 with my niece to get drinks for my family for memorial day! I started taste testing and I went to pull out my ID and an employee was already shoving a sample in my face without asking for my ID. I then walked around more and started being followed by employees. That made me uncomfortable so I quickly grabbed my things and headed to checkout. I put my items up on the belt, and as I turned around to greet the cashier and give her my ID. She said in a rude and manly voice, I would need to see both of your ID's before I let you purchase anything! I explained my air conditioning is out and it's 84 degrees so I didn't wanna leave her in the car. She then said into her mic ID CHECK and refused my service and told me I couldn't come back for 24 hrs. I've taken my 4 and 3 year old children here before and have purchased liquor I feel like this was intentional and very unacceptable I will not be returning and I would advise anyone to go either read more

The location in Ft Worth off Hulen used to be my go to location, now this one has been since they still sale the whiskey that Hulen location doesn't sale anymore for some reason. Old Huckleberry 102 is a daily for our house, and at $19.99 is a great deal and it tastes amazing for the price. Tho TW is the only store that sales it, and the locations that keep it in stock is dwindling. This location is a bit out of the way, but I make it work. Access is a bit tight getting in and out, being off the highway, tho it's in the middle of the large block of stores and restaurants. This one is one of the bigger ones. Always very clean. Staff is helpful. Whiskey, wine, and craft beer selection is large, these are the areas we frequent. read more

Just when I thought I couldn't love Total Wine more...I went to one of their classes! Everyone knows Total Wine has it all, excellent selection, good prices and rocking customer service. What they don't tell you is how much fun their classes are. I went to their chocolate and wine pairing class tonight and it was a BLAST. They were not just serving up your standard red and white, there was a port, a cream sherry and champagne! Along with some lovely Godiva chocolates and some finger foods at the beginning, this is my kind of party. Thomas was so knowledgeable and Miranda was right there with a smile to fill our drinks. It was a sold out class and I am so happy I got in. They also gave the ladies a rose, as this was their Valentine's class. I will be back! As any frequent reviewer of my posts know, I like to periodically (annually) re-review my reviews as things can change. Sometimes businesses close, get bad, or sometimes, better. This is one of those posts. Yes, I know I've been bad about checking in, but I just had a son, so I've been a bit busy. Plus, since the Pandemic, we've been getting deliveries from here more than actually picking stuff up. Total Wine & More is our go to spot for all of our wine and liquor needs for five reasons. First, this is not their only location. They are all across the country, and they are all equally stocked. Plus, it is an essential service, so they have been keeping the community liquored up during the pandemic. Second, the selection here is just plain crazy. Do they have everything? Maybe not. But, when I was looking for a French wine that I couldn't pronounce or spell (Pouilly Fuisse, btw, thank you Google) for a gift, I called ahead and they found it. And, their crazy wide selection is not just limited to wine, it also applies to liquor and beer. While I'm not a beer drinker anymore (surgery stopped that), the beer selection is borderline ridiculous as well. And, as for liquor, they have every type of liquor you could imagine, even some types you cannot find anywhere else. I hate getting excited about a new product, and then being disappointed by me not being able to have it. But, that has never happened here. Third, their selection is often unique, meaning that, while you'll find the stuff that every place has, they have wines and liquors from purveyors that you can only find directly from Total Wine or the purveyors themselves. This is awesome because it gives smaller shops a way to stay in business, and for the customer, it gives us the change to find greatness outside of the big boys. Fourth, the great service. I am always greeted and offered assistance. Possibly more important than just great service alone though, is their alcohol knowledge. They have floor people that are experts in particular spirits, varieties of wine, and the like. And, when you're in their section, they provide not just their knowledge and expertise, but also their custom-tailored recommendations to ensure that you're going to like what you buy. They make you feel like a valued customer, even when I'm looking at a $5 wine, without making me feel cheap. Thank you! I can tell you that this is not uniform across the Total Wine & More brand as we had some negative interactions in Boston, but the service at this location is awesome. Finally, they have a tasting bar where they offer wine and liquor tastings from across the world. In fact, if you really wanted to, you could get pretty liquored up on a Saturday afternoon for free. Not that I would know anything about that. Do I recommend this place? Yes. It's even worth a drive if you do not live nearby. You may have a closer Total Wine & More, but the customer service will probably not be as good. read more

This is my go-to liquor store when I'm in the area. They also have sample stations throughout the store and they have a cigar humidor for all you cigar smokers. read more

This location is huge! Wandering down the aisles makes me wish I was more of a lush because I want to try/buy it all. They have large selection, even if their prices on some items can be a little high. You're going to find mostly midrange and top shelf liquors stocked here. If you're in the market to drop a couple thousand on a bottle of liquor, they've got you covered. There is an aisle of museum quality bottles appropriately placed behind locked glass with price tags I may have to be an alcoholic to appreciate. They dont carry too many cheap "house quality" options. For example, needed Kirschwasser for a fondue recipe. I know I have bought some other places and paid around $10 or less for a bottle. For a cherry brandy I plan to use for cooking, that's a reasonable price. The cheapest bottle of the Kirschwasser I found here was $23.99. It was also a decent brand that you could drink too. So probably a little too rich to throw in a recipe for a house party. There's an area for tasting classes that you can sign up for in store or online. Depending on the day and time, you may luck out and get to taste whatever they're sampling in the store. There's a lot to see here. If you've got some time to kill, you can definitely spend it here wandering the aisles looking at their inventory. read more

I love Total Wine. They have a wide variety of wine, spirit, beers, and good though not as extensive collection of cigars/cigarillos. Their website is helpful for seeing if what you want is available before going. Service here is usually friendly, but we go so often I have not always experienced good service and one time overheard a conversation between employees that was probably better for a break room. Lines can be long, but the good selection keeps me coming back. I one time had my ID scanned, I am usually carded but when I asked why my license was scanned and what information was taken, no answer was given so I called their corporate office and was told ID scans are not standard, which left me befuddled. I have visited several Total Wine stores as I work in Plano and live in the mid cities. I go out of my way to use their stores as I like the store layout. It is very easy to find the section and the particular wine you are searching. This rating is for the Arlington store on I20. Why, poor customer service. Today in Arlington, I had to ask the guy covering the sharaz section three times to pull down a case from above. Finally I happened upon the manager who had to find the ladder and do it himself. The manager was none to friendly as well. A simple sorry for the wait would have been sufficient. The store in Dallas on 75 gets 5 stares. They are always super nice and friendly. Sorry Arlington, will not be back. You would think that customers buying cases and spending couple hundred bucks would get better service. read more

(Juice and soda mixers you can buy at a grocery store, but they also have a great selection of unique mixers like ginger beer). Simply put, they have the best prices, best selection, and most knowledgeable staff. People in the store care about and know about what they are selling. Each store is clean, well laid out, easy to navigate. On top of it all, they do both smaller free tastings and planned, themed, paid (Like $5) tastings (very well attended, buy tickets in advance). Total Wine in Arlington is the place to go for wine and alcohol. They have a great selection you should be able to find anything you want. The store is very nice and clean great set up. The location is busy and the parking lot is busy but not impossible you just have to drive careful. Like I said Total Wine has a great selection of wine almost too much. It can be over whelming. But the staff are always available to help and they seem to really like helping. We have gotten some good selection of wines from the staff. And if you go on Saturday they almost always have tastings. And that is a great time to try some new wines. The prices are very good. They have some very good inexpensive wines. And the high dollar wines as will. I did not forget about the alcohol from vodkas every flavor out there. Rum, tequilas, whiskeys, and bourbons whatever you want. And again the different vendor will come out on Saturday for tastings. And they will also give you information about whatever they are giving samples of. Love this store!! Such a large variety of everything! They have all the right ingredients to fuel my craft beer obsession! They sell beer in 6 packs of course OR you can choose from a huge variety of craft beer singles and make your own! I really enjoy making my own 6 pack and trying a bunch of different beers. Currently, they are starting to bring out their Oktoberfest, pumpkin, and fall beers! I just went yesterday to get Lakewood's limited edition-coconut temptress. $4.50 for one bottle! A little pricey to say the least! It had a subtle coconut flavor..not my favorite in the Temptress collection but totally worth a try. Like a know-it-all, I go to Arlington Highlands and circle that torture chamber for 20 minutes before I called the store and learned The Highlands and Arlington Highlands are two different shopping destinations. Guy's, don't go to Arlington Highlands. You don't need that aggravation. Go up by Lowes. Many will remember a time long ago when you had to drive to Dallas off Harry Hines or Industrial, or even Kennedale, for something other than beer. Majestic and Centennial Liquors was the best stop for mixers. There were many other small stores, too, but safety was somewhat questionable. Okay, a lot of people were jacked, robbed, or offered things at those places. Now that liquor has moved into the 'burbs, the old school liquor store has cleaned up, evolving into a more enjoyable experience. Side note: Spec's moved in when Majestic/Centennial was fading. I hate Spec's. With their cavernous stores, extremely annoying hipster pep rally radio spots, laughable gourmet selection, not so helpful staff, and I mostly hate that they up-charge plastic purchases. I've driven far to Harry Hines just to avoid spending my money there. I hope Total Wine sends the rabbit hopping back home to Houston. Total Wine is well staffed and attentive, and shelves are well stocked. The color scheme and cleanliness is very nice. Above all, it doesn't feel like an unsafe liquor store. I went to the store yesterday after getting an email for Bordeaux wine tastings. When I got there the lady at the bar said they are not tasting Bordeaux's today or anytime this week. The email stated "tasting dates and times vary by store, so please see your store's specific tasting hours below." At the end of email it stated my preferred store" which is that closest one in Arlington. Tasting hours are and it M-Sat noon-8pm!
