I visited to check out their wine sections and see if I could find some bottles that aren't normally at IL's Binny's. Upon entering, they have their Cellar Selections on display. When looking at those, the wine manager, Gregory, greeted us. His service was above and beyond in helping us. Their store is organized slightly different than I'm used to with varietals and regions. Gregory helped us navigate where to find the couple of bottles we were looking for as well as make some suggestions along the way. He also offered to print out tasting sheets of the bottles we were purchasing for when we open them to enjoy. It was fun to see the staff pick signs for extra recommendations. We got some great finds and really enjoyed their selections! Tip: Most wines have a "Mix 6" deal where buying 6 or more gets you a deeper discount! Absolutely love Total Wine and More. We don't have them in Chicagoland and so when venturing up to Milwaukee, had to find one near my destination. This store was very clean. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We started at the wine tasting table to try what they were featuring for the day. Prior to arrival, you can access events and sampling information on their website. On this occasion, I really enjoyed one of the white wines. We all tried the liquors that they were sampling. I stocked up on my favorite Pinot Grigio. It is made in Italy and DOC. It is called ALBINO ARMANI VIT Armani Grigio and cost 12.99. That is a reasonable price for a PINOT GRIGIO that is CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE. I can't get this wine in IL. I have tried and they won't ship it to Chicago either. Usually I bring 2 or 3 bottles back when I travel to AZ, CA and TX. Since we were driving. I was able to buy a whole case. Who Hoo, this should hole me over a few months until my next trip west. For other fun things, I restocked on my mini liquors for back home as you can purchase individual minis in Chicago either. Been here a few times and have always been impressed with this selection, organization and staff. The layout is relatively easy to find what you are looking for. And if you need help, there are usually staff wandering around looking to help out customers. Most times that I have been there, they are having either tastings or samples of different products. These might be in-store personnel or the vendor reps. Always knowledgeable about the different products. The checkouts are pretty efficient, and I have always found them staffed with pleasant "people" people. They have a loyalty program, and is helpful to save a few bucks on your purchases. I don't always come here (it's a bit out of my way), but when I do I know that they are likely to have what I am looking for. read more

Total Wine & More: I usually love this place, their selection is massive! It's like a library for alcohol. What I like the most is their huge selection of sample size/50ml bottles and individual beer cans and bottles. I like to try new products, but it sucks when you drop a lot of dough on a bottle or 6 pack and you end up not liking it. Buying a 50ml bottle for about $1 or individual beers for a few bucks eliminates that problem. When I made some purchases a couple weeks ago, I received a follow-up survey sent to my email. I commented that one of the beers I would have liked to try was not available as an individual bottle/can (only as a pack), so I was a little disappointed. I received a response that on future visits I should simply ask a store associate for assistance as they can sometimes separate the packs to allow for individual purchases. When I visited today, there was a pack of beer that I was interested in trying, but did not see an individual can for sale. When I asked an associate about potentially separating the pack to buy an individual can, I was told they don't do that (as in ever). It wasn't like he even went to look at the pack with me and determined they couldn't for some reason. This place is so annoying because it tried to card me when I was with my dad. I literally saw them sell alcohol to someone with their child. I like that they have samples though. I had some kind of whiskey and warmed me up. I feel like I spend so much time in here just looking at the variety of alcohol. Single with commitment issues. Not me. Beer. While I don't buy much, when I do have a desire I often go to a Discount place in town. My problem is the selection is too large, and I can't commit to a six pack. So this is where Total Wine excels. They have most everything broken down into singles so you can make your own pack. I've got a thing for Tripels (and Belgian blondes, but that's another story) but if you've had, you know that you don't always need more than one. The same goes for ciders. I like trying new things but don't want to be stuck with 5 more of something I don't like. How have we not had the store in our lives the entire time? Not only do they have an obscene amount of selections of anything you can think of alcohol and non-alcohol related, their prices are outstanding. The only thing I don't buy here is the Prosecco due to price. Other than that this is the classiest liquor store I've ever seen. Their website is up-to-date on current stock, so if you don't find what you're looking for in stock you can reroute to another nearby location which is what I did. They still have the mask policy but it's not like I spend a lot of time there. It is fun to browse their bar items also! read more

Once I moved 80 miles away from the closest TW store, I started ordering online and driving to the store to pick up my purchases. Because it is a bit of a drive, I order pretty heavy. I have always had great customer service and my orders are always correct and ready on time. With my most recent order, I was missing one item. I did not notice the missing item until more than 4 weeks after picking up my order. I just called customer service and explained the situation. I gave her my order number for her to verify the purchase. Upon hearing about the missing item, the customer service agent apologized for the missing item and said that she was crediting our account immediately for the total purchase price. NO QUESTIONS ASKED! This is why I drive 80 miles one way to purchase from Total Wine and More! read more

I heard that this place was open and since I was going to shop next door I stopped by to go grab some hipster overpriced beer that I have never seen or heard of. When I saw $15 for a little package of beer I thought why don't I go and get a bottle of some whiskey that I have never seen or heard of instead, that $15 is 1/3 to 1/2 of a bottle of something good. I only have whiskey when I'm out at a bar for some reason so this will be my first purchase and I'm no whiskey expert but I ended up with Grangestone 12 year aged scotch whiskey for just under $35 out the door. I got a comp set of bourbon glasses with my purchase, etched with the Total Wine logo. I'm no whiskey expert and I don't have expensive tastes but it was not bad for a sipping whiskey. Huge. HUGE! (Seemingly) All the wine, beer and spirits on the planet! If you've been to one Total Wine, you've been to them all. But, don't let that stop you, because they have SO MUCH STUFF! Any kind of wine and champagne, from every wine region known to man. I don't think I've ever seen such a large selection of Amaretto and Tequila! Beers from 6 continents! Tiny bottles of booze, fancy wine accoutrements including decanters and glasses, olives, cheeses and meats, a walk-in cigar humidor, wine and beer tasting stations, and a rather large tasting room for groups. What I have noticed, is that, depending on where the Total Wine is located, they all have an aisle or two dedicated to local brewers and distillers. I like that, especially with all the craft alcohol that is being produced in our area...there are so many popping up that sometimes, I can't keep track of them all. To have it all located in one spot is very much appreciated. I've heard more than one person say, "This could be the end of Discount Liquor!" I don't think so. I looked for several brands that I have seen at DL, and TW doesn't carry them. The prices here aren't necessarily better than other liquor stores in the area, either. I will pop in here from time to time as I need to replenish my stocks, but I could just as easily go anywhere. That being said, they DO deserve the 5 stars, simply for their vast selection. I recently ordered online for store pick up to Total Wine in Greenfield, WI. I sent my husband to pick the order up and told him it was in his name (which it was). He goes to the store and gives my name instead (thinking it was under me) and the store clerk asks him to spell it multiple times. The associate then says he found it and proceeds to take my husband around the store to pick up items in an order that is supposedly under my name. When I see the order my husband comes home with - it isn't even close. Vodka, beer, bloody mix when I ordered bottles of sparkling wine. I sent my husband back since this isn't our order. When he gets there the manager says they can't return it since it left the store, but they misled him through the whole store saying it was on the order for my name (there is no order under my name, only his). $90 of stuff that was not on my order. Who's order is it?? None of these items are under my name nor my husband's. I understand that you can't return the alcohol since it is a law, but at least refund us the $90 for a false order. Extremely poor customer service looking to just get him out of the store not caring that they picked all of the wrong items. And I have to pay for it. I will not be picking up my regular order, nor coming back to this horrible place. read more

I actually picked up something as a gift and found the staff to be not only friendly, but knowledgeable about their products. Found my Ikea for alcohol at last! Awesome and extensive collection of alcohol - wine, beer , liquor and even cigar! I even found a small batch single malt scotch brand from India here! The staff were helpful and courteous... Price wise , it's cheaper than woodmans ( my go to place given it's selection and prices) by couple of bucks. Definitely will be back for more! This place is like a candy store for wine drinkers or spirit drinkers. You walk in and this place is huge! They work on a tag team here so be prepared to be greeted every few feet. We were going to Fresh Thyme next door and decided to check it out. There is a wine counter where you can sample different wines and a local beer counter where you can try beer. The staff is pretty knowledgeable for the most part. But I just want to be left alone like every other liquor purchase. It gets to be a bit much almost like walking into a Victoria's Secret. Everything about our experience was good except for the checkout. My hubby is in his 50 and still carded. The sign says 30 and under. He and I clearly are not under 30 but we were carded. I know what everyone is going to say, just another big box store with inflated prices. This is where you'd be wrong in your assumptions. Now I am not saying that certain items are higher priced than other liquor stores. Because there are items that they are off the mark on pricing. But they do have some amazing prices on far more items. For example on our most recent trip, we purchased two 1.75 liter bottles of Tower Vodka a competitor of Tito's for $40. Next their selection of liquor, wine, beer and spirits is unlike anything else in the Milwaukee Metro area. Some are going to say well what about Discount Liquor? They would fill a third of the space in Total Wine. They also have a walk in humidor for the cigar aficionado. I am so happy with this Total Wine! I've spent a lot of time looking for a particular varietal of wine at other liquor stores and wine shops in Milwaukee for several years now. When Total Wine opened in Brookfield I spoke to some of their sales associates about their Cabernet Francs and they had to look them up in the computer. I came to this Total Wine in Greenfield and their staff knew everything about the wine I was looking for. Cassandra showed me several kinds from different regions and told me the differences between them all. Not many people even know of this type of wine. My husband was looking for a particular type of beer and a different sales associate was able to help him find a quality version of the type of beer he was looking for. I made my second trip to Total Wine & More yesterday--a 20-minute drive for me. It's not close enough for me to stop by more often, but for two special occasions, they fit the bill perfectly. The first time I went was to pick up champagne for a wedding party. They had the best price for the particular brand I wanted, so it was definitely worth the trip. I picked it up during Covid, and they brought it out to my car. Score! The second time I made the trip was yesterday. I wanted to surprise my sister-in-law and her husband with a special German import beer I read about online. I was able to see exactly which aisle and bay the beers were located in on the store website, so even though I am not familiar with the store, I was able to practically walk right up to the items. A worker stocking a nearby shelf offered to help me located the beers as they were undergoing some renovations and the online location information was a little off. Even so, compared to other liquor store websites, the Total Wine & More website is more comprehensive than some other shops I was considering. I like to waste as little time in stores as possible, so when I can "pre shop" online on well-developed, current websites, it really does make me a happy camper. I've always heard good things about Total Wine & More. So when this location opened up near my house, I was very excited to check it out. I stopped in after work on the day they opened and was immediately greeted by very friendly staff. From the moment I walked in, I was awestruck by the size of the place. When a liquor store hands you a map, you know they mean business! I have never seen so many varieties of wine in one place, ever. And the wines come in all different price points, too. I saw wines for as little as $3, some at $100+, and many in between. On this trip, I purchased a Door Peninsula Winery Cherry Chocolate wine. In the center of the main aisle, there is a large table set up for wine and liquor tastings. Total Wine also offers classes on wine, where you can learn about the history of different wines and what they pair well with. If wine doesn't happen to be your thing (gasp!), Total Wine also offers a huge selection of beer and liquor. And if you're a cigar afficianado, they have a large humidor filled with cigars. After telling some friends about this place, we are planning a field trip for the near future. read more

Stopped in today to buy a bottle for a birthday present. Walked in and was greeted right away by a taste test. Didn't even have a chance to try the liquor before being rudely greeted by the manager telling us to put on a mask. I said I was going to try the margarita. He then "schooled" us by saying as soon as we were done to put on the mask. I had the mask in my hand. Of course I was going to abide by the rules. I don't think we will Be going back.
