The prices and selection are excellent. I've always found a mix of large brands and local brands. I like to support local businesses, but sometimes it is just easier and cheaper with the big guys. From the moment I walked in I LOVED this place!! I very quickly saw the "old world" section with amazing variety of "fancy" wines and champagne option (that were far outside my budget but so fun to look at!). Everything was well labeled and lit. Every aisle there was a worker helping someone and as I ease dropped I couldn't believe how helpful and knowledgeable EVERYONE was!! Very impressive. I was asked if I needed help and they knew exactly where my item was. I had been to what seemed like EVERY liquor store between south aurora and Lakewood looking for this ONE specific liquor and lo and behold THERE IT WAS! The only place in my travels that had it!!! We were so thankful we chose to purchase our wedding alcohol from Total Wine and Spirits. From our tasting to our return process they were genuinely so incredible. Arend welcomed us in the Littleton store by hosting our professional and intimate tasting. He helped us choose signature cocktail drinks, beer/wine options, and mixers. He was so personable and knowledgeable. He calculated all prices and quantities during our tasting for our guest count while also prioritizing our budget so professionally. I was so afraid of not having enough for our three day wedding weekend but Arends estimation was so on point, we even had a couple boxes we were able to return through them! He organized the pickup process so that I could delegate the retrieval of the alcohol to a friend and everything went so smoothly. Their team helped load it into our friends truck and I didn't have to worry at all as the bride. I cannot recommend this phenomenal team enough for your group events. Lone Tree store: I wonder how much time these folks spend moving product around? Every time I come in products have been relocated. Example, I tried to find a 6-pack of Pacifico. Cases yes .... 6-pack Nope. And 1.5 liter bottles of wine were moved from 1 end of the store to the other. How about a map? But then again paper costs would go thru the roof! And assistance? Nowhere to be found. I still haven't figured out how to locate specific types OR specific brewers of craft beer. Again, assistance? Nowhere to be found. The only reason my rating isn't lower is because they do have decent prices. BTW, was able to find a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc because those areas are well marked AND they post 'stickies' for their top values and/or ratings. What an experience! If you need some last-minute suggestions, this is the place to go. We were helped as soon as we stepped foot in the door. They took us to their best recommendation for a sulfite-free wine. And we were shocked. This wine was only 17 bucks! They didn't try and take us to a costly wine right away. But many people know that just because a wine is more expensive, it doesn't mean it's better. So we got our wine, and then they took us to their cider selection. Boom, we were In and out in 10 minutes. And our bank accounts didn't suffer. We love all total wine locations. They have the best customer service, the best selection of all alcohol, and incredible prices. Plus, their app and website are amazingly accurate. Visited Top Wine to do some Christmas shopping and I was pleasantly surprised by the layout and appearance of the store. For the most part wine is easy to find if you are viewing it on their website, tells you the precise location. If you have never been there however it can be quite challenging and this is where we rely on good old human interaction. We waited a while as store clerks rushed pass us hurriedly in most cases trying to avoid eye contact as it were obvious we were in need of assistance. We ended up meeting one very helpful young lady by the name of Kitty who was extremely helpful and had to use one of the store's ladder to get the wine and the quantity we needed, sincere thanks to her for being polite, willing and helpful. Proceeded to check out where the cashier (an older gal) seemed like she wasn't having the best of days, retail can be annoying, people can be mean, I get it, I just wish that negative and rude energy be projected onto those miserable customers and not the genuinely nice ones. She was extremely rude to my wife and offered up some freshly served sarcasm to go with our wine, we usually like bargains and two for one, bogo deals, wasn't expecting sarcasm and horrible customer service to be the deal of the day. Completely different level of service from what Kitty gave, not sure what the issue was, she was extremely polite to the people before us, she started conversing to the couple behind before completing our transaction. We didn't ask her any questions, we both smiled and were extremely polite even when she was being rude, what could it be? I wonder... hmmm. Hope it's addressed because we will be back and this time I will be paying special attention to her because it's 2023 and stores should pay extra attention to the people who keep their businesses afloat. Sad that one employee could give such an amazing impression of the business just to have it taken away by another rude individual! read more
