Anyone planning to put in a pool in central Texas, please read our experience with a local Pool Contractor, Bryan Jenkins owner of VI Pools, before choosing. We were excited to finally put in our dream pool and started calling local pool companies last fall. All the known companies in the area were 6-9 months out with several weeks just to meet with them for a consultation. A mutual friend, unsolicited, messaged me that he heard we were looking for a pool company and recommended Bryan Jenkins with VI Pools. I called Bryan and he came over within a week. His 3D pool presentation was impressive. We asked what his wait time was and he said he could start right away. I asked why he was available now when everyone else is 6-9 months out and he explained he had just hired a second crew and was running 2 crews simultaneously. That made sense to us. We had looked at his website and FB page and noticed there were no reviews. We asked him about that and his answer was he had just created them and didn't really maintain them. Not having any "negative"reviews posted, we signed the contract. We broke ground on January 6, 2021 and as of June 10, 2021 he was still not done with our pool and had left us with major mistakes. Bryan, in emails, text messages that we have and phone calls promised he would do what is right and fix the major mistakes created by his sub contractors, he never did. Bryan claimed the reason it was taking an extraordinarily long time to finish our pool was due to the weather and the industry being too busy. However, we know 5 people in central Texas who started their pool after we did and were done months before ours was done. In the end, there were too many major mistakes that he was not correcting so we consulted our bank lender and we all agreed we needed to fire him and move on with another contractor. We notified Bryan on June 10th, 2021 that we had contacted an attorney, we no longer trusted him to correct the major mistakes he and his subs caused, nor to finish the pool. Because we were so close to being finished, other pool companies we contacted did not want to come finish his job because they could not warranty the pool with the major mistakes he left behind. We had to finish the pool and correct his mistakes ourselves. Not only are we out thousands and thousands of dollars, we have to live with some mistakes that cannot be fixed. We asked Bryan to do the professional and honorable thing and finish our pool and correct his mistakes and in the end he never did. What should have been an exciting and great experience turned out to be a nightmare for us. It took him 7 months to "finish" our pool and in the end he actually never finished it. We contacted licensed subcontractors to come out to correct the major mistakes Bryan made and in their professional opinion, they could not believe the job he let us with. There are too many mistakes and code violations to list on here, however, one of the major mistakes was the deck around the pool that had to be busted up and removed and Re poured correctly by another licensed concrete contractor. See pictures below. This has become a huge issue in Texas because to date they do not require pool contractors to be licensed which can lead to incurring major mistakes like we did. I'm writing this because numerous people have asked us who built our pool and would we recommend them, NO we do not recommend Bryan Jenkins with VI Pools.

They were fast to find the cause of the problem and an efficient, fast working team keeping safety in mind fixing and testing the electric problem. Their knowledge of electrical procedures is outstanding. My situation required a qualified, certified, electrician. The worst experience we have ever had! 1st off (this should have been our 1st indication of disappointment), we called to set an appointment and was told they will call us back later in the week. No phone call back after several weeks. We called back again, was told they would schedule something the following week. 2 weeks later, they set up a time/date. We called Italian Granite to set a stainless steel sink we already had but had fallen from the existing granite countertop, so they only had to reset the sink. After they reset it, the left side sink was not aligned properly causing a sort of lip on the edge of the sink so water could leak from that area. We called them back later that same day and the women at the office was so rude and immediately claimed it wasn't their fault. We asked if they could just come out to look at it (knowing if they saw the sink was not aligned, they would know their error) and she finally agreed someone would come back out later in the week. Several weeks later with no call from them or them coming out, we called them back. They finally agreed to come out the same day of the call. The owner of the company happen to come (wish we would have read the other reviews on here about him), once he saw it he called us (this is a rental home) and he cussed us out left and right!! Saying it wasn't his fault, he called us MF'ers, said our house was $hitty and said it was our sink, that it was old and falling apart even though it's a stainless steel sink! We tried to ask for his name but instead he said F*ck You! This company is ridiculous, PLEASE do not use this company! The disrespect from this company owner and his employees is unbelievable!! I spoke to the owner who then claimed "those scratches were there before". I offered to show pictures of the sink before install (I had documented everything in pictures) but he didn't want to see the pictures. He refused to fix the sink or replace it. I told him I'm deducting the value of the sink from the total payment. He claimed that I was trying to scam him. He used multiple personal attacks when talking with me on the phone, which just made me laugh as I was entertained that this is how a business owner would behave. After about 40 minutes on the phone we negotiated to a discount, but wow, what a trip.

The move took two full days to complete, despite the reverse move previously being completed in about three hours by just one person and a crackhead. The timeline felt incredibly inefficient and resulted in significantly higher costs than expected. To make matters worse, several items were missing after the move. There was little accountability or urgency shown in resolving these issues, which only added to the frustration. One of the most concerning aspects of the experience was that movers were taking videos inside the home without permission. Even more troubling, the behavior came across as inappropriate and unsettling toward a 15-year-old family member. This created an uncomfortable environment during what should have been a professional service visit. The pricing was also inconsistent and seemed to fluctuate throughout the process. The final cost did not align with expectations set beforehand, making it difficult to trust the estimates that were provided. Moving is already stressful enough. Professionalism, transparency, and respect for customers' homes and families should be the minimum standard. Unfortunately, my experience with Chubby Fit Movers fell well short of that expectation.
