We were taken to the dressing rooms and told if a dress doesn't fit, they can pin it. She brought us all size 12 and under, nothing would even go on us! How do you pin a dress that doesn't even fit on the person? When she kept bringing dresses that wouldn't go over our hips, I flat out asked "What do you do when girls are over a size 14?" The shop owners response? "Usually there's someone in the group small enough to try on the dress." That's when I put my clothes on and told her I was leaving and what a waste of time the whole experience was. I will never be back here again!

No big deal, that was my mistake. When I ordered the dress, I paid in full and was told they would call when it arrived at the end of September. October 1st rolls around and still no word on the dress. I called that week and was put on hold for some time while they searched the store. Apparently it had been sitting in the back- no one called me so thankfully I took the initiative on my own. I scheduled a fitting the following day for 2pm, got a babysitter and expected everything to go smoothly. When I arrived for my appointment, I had a 30 minute wait. The place was packed, they couldn't find my dress and kept coming back out to ask me info to locate it, was I sure it had arrived, did someone call me to tell me it was in house, etc. I eventually did the fitting and was told it would be ready 2 days before leaving for the wedding and it would cost an additional $40 for alterations. I picked my finished dress up last night and was in a hurry as I didn't have the luxury of getting a babysitter for my kids again. I took it out to show my husband this morning and the dress is completely wrinkled from head to toe. Apparently paying $300 plus $40 for alterations doesn't include Unique giving my dress a once over with a steamer. I will never do business here again. It was less than a satisfying experience and now I'm trying to find someone in Chicago to steam my dress before the wedding Saturday.

Thought it would be done with plenty of time to spare before prom. In April, a week and a half before prom, it still wasn't done. I have honestly never heard a more rude business owner on the phone speaking to a customer. It took a full 5 minutes for Lula and other store employees to even locate the dress after being given the name of the customer and a description of the dress. She kept making excuses for why the alterations weren't done, saying she had so many dresses to alter that they alter them in order of prom date. That's why this dress was bought in January, to avoid the prom rush! She also could not give an estimated time that the dress would be done, just kept saying "not this week, I'll get to it next week"- the week of prom. Not only did Lula not follow through on the work that was supposed to be done, but she was extremely rude and condescending when she was questioned about it. I will not ever be using this business and I will steer everyone I know clear from it as well. Completely unprofessional.

She put a curse on us…read more We arrived at the Cordova location of Ivoryology following an earlier appointment at a different bridal boutique where our bride was close to 100% sure she had found her dream wedding dress. We committed to the afternoon appointment at Ivoryology to try on a few more dresses in order for the bride to be sure. Our salesperson, Bailey, gave our group zero direction on how the process would take place, she sent us all out to pick dresses only to quickly respond by telling us we chose the wrong types of dresses out of the VERY small handful we were instructed to choose from. The dresses that Bailey chose were far from anything our bride would wear but she was pushy about trying them on, which our bride graciously did even though the experience felt unpleasant, impersonal and a waste of everyone's time. Since the appointment was clearly going nowhere, and fast, the bride requested to cut the appointment short due to how uncomfortable we all felt. When the Maid of Honor very politely and honestly shared with Bailey that this wasn't working out and the bride was quite sure she had found her dream dress elsewhere Bailey's attitude quickly turned, loudly telling us multiple times that it was a CURSE to keep looking for a wedding dress after you believed you had already found "the one". She told us we were cursed at least fifteen times; we all wanted to crawl out of our skin and get out of there as quickly as possible. Bailey easily could have politely said that she understood and wished the bride all the best, but since she was not getting a sale she instead decided to ruin a newly engaged girl's wedding dress shopping experience. This store may want to try spending less time and money on its social media content and more on etiquette and sophistication training for its employees.

They had an amazing selection of dresses of any style you could think of! A few days before my appointment they reached out about what I'm looking for and then they incorporated what I said into what they selected for me at my appointment, and I think that is wonderful customer service. Liz was helping me, and she was the best ever! She was so kind, encouraging, and really listened to what I said about the dresses and would go off of that to select more she thought I would like. She made me feel beautiful and confident. I had the best experience here at Ivoryology and I will be recommending it to all future brides I know!
