Over all the whole process went really well. How ever it is very confusing when the Touchstone facility is referred to as Round Rock, the actual address list it as an Austin address?? And the whole phone system of trying to some one to answer is confusing. It seems you have to go through the whole number selection more than several times because it repeating and you idea if recorded your selection?? My pulmonologist referred me to Touchstone Round Rock on Tuesday for a chest X-ray. I called to make an appointment and was offered a same day walk-in appt. Nate was welcoming and helpful filling out the electronic questionnaire since it was my first time at Touchstone. While I was doing that, I received a text with an appt time just 15 minutes away. Tech Lisa was informative, helpful, and efficient. I explained that while my specialist was in ATX, my PCP with whom I had an appt in two weeks was up North. Lisa told me that Nate could burn an image of the X-ray so I could give it to my PCP. He did so with a smile in less than ten minutes even though they were busy. Austin Pulmonary posted the condensed report on their portal for me Friday morning and I received a more comprehensive report from Touchstone late Friday with highlighted areas of concern. So much faster than where my PCP practices. Excellent experience. read more

I was scheduled for MRI at 9am on 12-12-2025. I was told to come 15 minutes early. Arrived at 8:40am and was checked in by Nate. Sat down right across from Nate waiting to be called. At 9:25am I asked Nate how long was the wait. He said I'll be next. At 9:40am I asked him again and he said the same thing. At this time 2 guys have gone in and left. Third guy comes in at 9:45 for his 10am appointment and was called 5 minutes later. I asked to speak to the manager who was very apologetic for Nate and said I would be called in 20 minutes. All in all I arrived at 8:40am and was done at 11:15am. Totally unacceptable! read more

I rarely leave scathing reviews. But since this is a medical facility, I feel compelled to share my issues with this office. I had a CT scan done at Touchstone mid-June. The radiologist sent my PCP his report (of 3-4 sentences) within an hour after completing my CT scan. Naturally, I had questions for the radiologist especially after seeing some questionable images myself. The first 2 times I called Touchstone, I was advised that the radiologist will call me back. It's now almost mid-July. I call them for the third time to follow up and they're now saying that the radiologist only speaks with the PCP, never with the patients! The staff member was pretty adamant that that was the rule even though they have basically made me waste 2weeks waiting for a call back. And to make things worse, I just found out that their affiliated radiologist also has a 1-star review! read more

Let me start by saying the front desk staff, Nick and Jackie are welcoming and kind. Feeling overwhelmed by the process, Jackie quickly offered solutions and everything was taken care of. The CT tech was nice and comforting and the ultrasound tech was kind. Check in and check out was easy and all questions were answered. I felt comfortable to follow up with any questions i had after. I received a letter in the mail that stated their systems had been breached and all the data they have about me and their other customes has been exposed to the intruders. What irks me the most is the fact the letter stated they were aware of the breach on 12/24/21, NINE months before the letter is dated. Unacceptable to take that long to notify customers of something like this. Secondly, the letter is simply a "we're sorry, but we hope you continue to use us!" letter. No offer of compensation of credit monitoring, no offer to have a firm review insurance claims to fraud due to the intrusion; that's all on me to take care of for their failure. I understand breaches can happen but to pull this kind of response is unacceptable. I will be never use Touchstone again if this is how they handle such situations. read more

I am giving a one because there is not an option for a ZERO. Service at the center was excellent. It was a month or so after that the nightmare started with the billing department. I received a letter stating I had a balance due. I had already paid my deductible at the time of service. A call to the billing department resulted in me being told that it was an error and I owed nothing. A couple of weeks later I received a texted stating I had a balance. I called the billing department again. I was told my payment had been voided but there was no explanation and I could not speak with a supervisor. I felt as though my money had been stolen and I expressed that concern. I called back hoping to get another person on the phone and did. I was told my payment had posted so he didn't know what was going on and he would call me in a few days after doing some research. I ask to speak to a supervisor and I was hung up on. I hope your experience with the billing department for this imaging center is better than mine that is still unresolved. read more

FYI this used to be RiverRanch Radiology. My doctor requested I have a scan of 2 areas of my back: the "other" place's order sheet was automatically pulled--but I said My insurance would cover going here too. I've been here multiple times, but a first under the new name....As always things went perfectly. I came on time (9am quiet and calm), and immediately was given my paperwork to fill out (note: it's long if you need to fill in a long list of anything like meds, surgeries, prev scans and locations---and any injuries that might be related to your scan. Sometimes I come in advance of my appt to get the paperwork, this time I brought copies of what was needed so that shaved off a lot of time. Julie showed me where to change, then helped me get into position (CT scan...easy fun). She explained what and why, in addition to asking a lot more questions to get more info on why this area was hurting to help them analyze the pictures.... CTs aren't quick, but aren't too difficult. After about 20 minutes we were all done In and out--perfect! Friendly helpful staff. The lobby has been freshly painted redecorated and organized. Staff is now tucked away behind glass.... Still happier coming here than ANY OTHER location of the "other company ". I can get an appointment for any type of scan needed--this location is much smaller than the one downtown so don't expect large crowds. But I don't typically have any problems getting an appointment or getting the scans done. Two comments: the Open MRI is downtown, and no Mammogram (at either Austin area location) but with the purchase maybe more options will come to Round Rock. Thank you ladies (and gent)! read more

My son has multiple disabilities including a profound intellectual disability. He does not understand why he needs to wear a mask he won't wear one. This was my first full body MRI, so I have no basis of comparison, but I was very happy with the ladies at Touchstone Imaging when I went there a couple months ago. Shirley, at the front desk was friendly, polite, and made every effort to be helpful and to answer my questions. One of my questions even required reaching out to someone out of the office on a Saturday, but she got me an answer! Well done! Clara, the MRI Tech was awesome! Being highly claustrophobic, I had all the anxiety one would expect me to have. Clara spoke softly and calmly while instructing me on how to get through the procedure. She provided a headset, knee pillow to lessen the pressure on my lower back, and a handcloth to cover my eyes. Whodathunk such a simple piece of cloth could be such a help! The only point I'd recommend improvement would be the headset. Clara had to speak loudly for me to hear her at all, and there were times that I could discern she was speaking, but not what she was saying, over the noise of the MRI machine. Overall, a tolerable experience, made that way only by the ladies! Thanks y'all! read more

Everything started on the right track with scheduling. I called the morning of my MRI to ask a specific question about my prep instructions and the rep gave me a whole different type of prep instructions. I asked her to confirm my identity to make sure and she did. Once I arrived, I checked again with front staff about my new set of prep instructions, they were wrong! I'm glad I asked again or I would have had to reschedule. There was a 45 minute delay and I had to ask front desk twice if they were planning to do my MRI or I'd have to reschedule. The male MRI tech took me back and as he was showing me around and pointed out dressing room..he walked in on another female patient because the lock is broken as I found out. I told him that some people have difficulty finding my veins. He tried and was not successful. I asked him to find a more experienced tech. The second tech busted my vein. I asked them to stop. I left there without having my MRI completed, I got a refund and will not be returning. read more

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. Be prepared to be overcharged. South location was recommended for MRI imaging for my daughters leg and I was quoted $250 over the phone. When I arrived at our appointment we were told it was $450 and I refused. The staff was very courteous in the office. After waiting 35 minutes they finally agreed to take us with the $250 amount quoted. My insurance is amazing and my deductible had been met so I knew I really owed nothing. The insurance paid the full cost and Touchstone owes us a refund of $297. We have been calling and getting the runaround for over 3 months with no resolution for a refund. Have had multiple imaging and MRI's at ARA this year and not a single problem. The highest ever paid at ARA was $97 which was refunded within a week because we have met our deductible. read more

My experience has been completely related to billing. From the front office to the billing department, no one seems to know how to properly file a claim. I have sent multiple emails and made multiple phone calls to settle our account from July 2019. I was informed that yet another revised claim was sent to insurance on October 25, 2019. That was at least the 2nd revised claim filed in addition to the original claim. Per insurance, I am due a substantial refund and can't seem to get a response other than "it's being reviewed" or "it's been re-filed with insurance." I will never recommend Touchstone based on this experience. read more

I obtained a MRI scan for my shoulders and wrist on February 2020. They put me on a 6 month payment plan to pay for the cost of the scan which is automatically charged from my credit card. After 4 months, I called them to pay the last 2 month in advance which they accepted, but never canceled the automatic payments. Since then, I have been charged two extra times on payments I have already paid. I called them over 4 times to raise the issue but everytime they said they see my payments but they charged it to the wrong account on their end and cannot return my payments until they fixed it in their end. My last two statements was "lost" and they are not following up with me which they promised. Is been almost 3 months now that they overcharged me over $400 which they admitted and they have not returned my money back. Do not come here for medical assistance they will take your money and provide horrible customer service on your payments. read more

My daughter is 10 years old with a possible knee cap broken and they won't give her the MRI unless I pay $250, it's the holidays and she can't walk and I offered to go on a payment plan and they would not help me, in offered to give them my credit card for post dated payments the rude lady would NOT help me, so if u need something they have NO sympathy and simply just want your money I hope they are never in a situation where they need a little help I was not asking for a handout like some people. for petes sake tis the season....... read more

They tell you they are "in network" with your insurance provider, but what they do not tell you is that THEIR fees are DOUBLE the contracted fees of ARIAS Imaging just across 35. If you have a high deductible or a high co-payment, GO ELSEWHERE. They are not honest or forthright that they get higher fees with their insurance contracts. Fees should be determined by area, not by who they are. My MRI no contrast cost me $1600, I just received a call from ARIAS it would have only cost me $675. I should have waited and went there, had I know this I would have. read more
