I was in town for Tales of the Cocktail and my room was spacious and cozy. I had a nice view of the street and I was conveniently located near the ice and water machine. However, they do need to work on a few things. 1. AC, there's no airflow in the room. I had to ask him to bring me a fan. Thankfully it's not hot cause there's no way I could stay here in the summertime. It would absolutely be too hot and uncomfortable. I was able to manage with a fan. 2. the water has hit or miss, sometimes it's cold, sometimes it's hot, sometimes it doesn't work. 3. The shower door needs to be adjusted. It's extremely tight and when you close it, it bangs into the other piece of the glass, this could be very dangerous because of that shatters and it falls while you're about to get in the shower you're gonna be cut very badly. 4. The toilet runs all night. They need to simply fix the toilet or replace it.

My partner and I have some experience paddling and wanted plenty of time to see wildlife and get deep in the swamp for the best scenery, and for us the extended tour was the right choice! I'd recommend it to visitors to New Orleans who love nature, the outdoors, and/or getting a fun and unique workout in during vacation. We were on the water for about 4 hours. Sunscreen, sunglasses, shoes you don't mind getting wet, and PLENTY of water are a must! There are stops at a truck stop right before and after for the bathroom and buying any drinks/snacks, plus a stop on dry land during the tour. Our guide Nick was clearly dedicated to both paddling and nature even outside of work, and our tour felt less like a scripted performance as some tours can be and more like a buddy was showing and telling you things he was passionate about. We saw several small alligators, barred owls, hawks, turtles, and water birds. It was unseasonably warm so the reptiles were a treat to see, and it was awesome getting to see owls out in daylight which I'd never be able to pick out myself. Bring binoculars if you have them! My only small complaint, which has nothing to do with the tour itself: the AI-generated content on the company's Instagram page is kind of weird. Photos and videos from actual tours would be more honest and enticing!

There were multiple problems. Our room wasn't ready at check in time; they missed completely on maid service one day (we reported it twice - but still no cleaning). They promote a $15 daily credit, for the restaurant and bar, but don't tell you the credit doesn't work on your last day. The lobby area is often unoccupied, no one to be found. The same is true of the restaurant; it's hard to find anyone working. There were some nasty stains on the floor and a musty smell in the room. And the taxes, along with the various fees, parking, and taxes and fees on the parking and fees, can quickly turn an $800 stay into a $1,200 stay. So, don't believe the quote. I've been a Marriott gold / platinum member for years. But there are just too many other places; given the rude and inconsistent service, I will not stay in or recommend this one.

I stayed at Loews for a night while visiting Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. What a decadent treat! My room on the 20th floor had a picture-perfect view of the city and the Mississippi River. The Crescent City Connection Bridge was lit up at night. The color of the lights are changed nightly, and the night that I was there, the bridge glowed purple. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had a huge walk-in shower and an oversized tub. Heaven. The air conditioner worked great and kept the room nice and cool. The hotel amenities were fabulous: a state of the art gym, an indoor lap pool, a hot tub, and a sauna. It was like a Roman bath. Valet service is a little pricey, but well worth it. A big shout out to Lan, the valet attendant. Really nice man! Loews New Orleans is a special place to stay. As soon as you walk in to their sumptuous gold and brown lobby, the Big Easy vibe opens its soulful arms to you.

Went to use the phone in the room to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. The courtyard and pool area was nice and peaceful. There is a restaurant/bar onsite which we didn't eat at but did hear some of the live music and seemed like a nice convenience with quality entertainment. If you're looking for just a room to serve its purpose this isn't a bad stay.
