I'm also glad that now I have some new places to go to on South Beach that I never would have tried before. But this is a five star hotel and you should be arriving with one anyway. Renting a Mustang convertible through Avis runs around $200, which beats repeated Ubers to the beach and frankly adds to the experience. 2. There is a dress code at dinner. Pants and no flip flops for guys. The staff make this very clear at check in, so there are no surprises. Now for the hotel itself. The service is genuinely exceptional. I left my phone in the car at the valet and within five minutes it was delivered to my room without me ever asking. That kind of attentiveness is rare and sets the tone for the entire stay. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is warm and professional, and the pool is top tier. Speaking of the pool, the drinks are great and the views can't be beat. You also have access to the beach on 14th street and ocean drive which gives you two chairs, an umbrella and towels. Highly recommend taking advantage of this amenity too. Finally, if you have an Amex Platinum, book through FHR. The complimentary breakfast and pool drink credits make an already incredible stay feel like an even better value.

The next morning was my favorite part of the stay, since only hotel guests have access to the pool before the restaurant opens, it was much quieter and the perfect way to enjoy such a beautiful setting. The only downside was that the hotel is extremely loud at night. We knew what to expect from reading previous reviews, so it wasn't a surprise, but it's worth mentioning.
