I visited the location on 4/19 and a salesman told me a car I was looking at was on sale and it did have the sale price written on the windshield. I called back Monday 4/21 morning as the salesman told to do and was told the car was never on sale and the price has always been the same and was hung up on. This establishment is running itself horribly and I've lost full consideration doing business with this dealership considering there was a car that I've been longing to get and is within my budget. Let me just start by saying do not purchase a vehicle from this place! I wish there was someone who could have warned me. I purchased a car from tower this past February, the next morning the check engine light came on. Called the dealer, which had me go to their local mechanic. This was the start of a mess. Within the next 4 weeks I would have been back to this same garage 5 times in total for the check engine light and mechanical issues. The check engine light was on all the way to the end of my "30 day warranty" the day before my warranty was up. I reached out to the Owner via text trying to be understanding as possible. I understand there's a pandemic etc. however my car is not running correctly and I need it to be fixed. With check engine light still on. I've yet to hear back from the owner, it's been almost 4 months no reply. The car does not drive, it sits in my driveway broken down with a loan on it for over 12,000 dollars in which I still owe. Currently seeking legal action. However i worked with them day in and out. Took a lot of time off work to go to the mechanic daily. read more

Buyer Beware!!!! Unprofessional people. No personality with two of the people I worked with on purchasing a vehicle. Not dressed as sales people either. Make sure you test drive the vehicle and get it to a mechanic to check it over before purchasing. Thank God I did that. It had bad brakes up front, transmission coolant lines were leaking and needed replacement. The transmission fluid was almost black and it needed an oil change. Also the passenger rear bumper was damaged along with the tailpipe. They would not come down on price at all. There are more reviews out there that are scary thru-out the internet. Don't shop here unless you want to become best friends with your mechanic. They sell lemons. Point blank period. I bought a 2012 buick enclave from tower and in the seven months I've owned the car I've brought it to my mechanic more than seven times. It had bad brakes, a jury rigged electrical harness from the last owner, faulty speed sensors on both sides and they even sent my car to a mechanic who broke off a tool in the power steering pump and left it that way. Not to mention they said they'd fix the power steering for me but tried to use my warranty to do so. Bottom line is they have predatory selling practices and I doubt they actually inspect any cars they put on their lot. Avoid the headache and go somewhere else. You'll be glad you did. read more

Was sold a terrible vehicle in September that shouldn't have ever been sold. No way it passed inspection at a reputable place. Before I even picked up the vehicle, it needed brake lines to be repaired. They supposedly did that but less than two weeks after I bought it, the brakes gave out while I was driving my kids to school. I called them, furious, and they had me bring it to another mechanic who they recommended. They said the brakes were in terrible shape and that all six lines needed replacing. Tower paid for that. Then, in November, the timing chain broke and so we replaced the entire engine and the catalytic converters. The car had less than 100,000 miles on it and the mechanic agreed that it wasn't normal to have the belt break like that with so few miles on the car. I split the bill with Tower since technically it was out of warranty (by two weeks) but they "felt bad" that the car was having these issues. The car was off the road for two weeks and I had to rent one. Now, the car is making a weird whirring noise. And takes forever to start (had to call AAA to start it today). Brought it to a new mechanic (who Tower Auto isn't buddies with). They said they can't believe the car ever passed inspection and was unsafe to drive. They showed me the underside so I could take photos and the back half of the frame is rotted away. A few spots of damage has been welded over but not really repaired properly and there are plenty of spots that are just gaping rusty holes. There are issues with the steering pump and steering column, loads of sensor malfunctions, the insides of the tires are completely worn down (meaning a likely suspension issue), ignition misfiring, and a bunch of other things. Worst of all?? After TWO major repairs, the brake lines are STILL LEAKING! I was told by this mechanic to not drive the car home because it was unsafe, especially with my children in it AND being 8 months pregnant. They advised me to call a lawyer because the car was never suitable to be sold and should never have passed a legitimate inspection. Right now, the repairs I am looking at would be upward of $4,000. After I already put almost $2,000 into it. And overpaid for it by thousands to begin with. And had to pay for rental cars and Uber rides during the lengthy repairs. I'm hoping Tower will choose to do the right thing without all the unnecessary litigation. Update! Tower had it towed to their friends at Prime Auto, who said there were no major problems. There were air bubbles in the power steering fluid and a weak battery. Fixed the power steering issue, made appointment to have the battery replaced the following week. Car ran fine...for 24 hours. Then the whirring noise came back, the power steering is nearly gone and the engine is running too cool...and the car started shutting off in the middle of the road while being driven. Happened three times. The first two, it started up again. The third time, it died in the middle of a busy intersection with my toddler in the backseat and wouldn't restart. Had to pay to tow it across the street to the garage I died near. Assumed it was the battery and an easy fix. NOPE! $450 of diagnostics later (they put a tester battery in and showed me that the engine won't roll over), im being told AGAIN by a third party mechanic that they don't want to touch my vehicle because it's trashed and shouldn't have ever been sold. It needs yet another new engine, has a cracked starter housing, among other issues. In the last three weeks alone, I've spent nearly $1,000 on this vehicle, I'm completely out of money, I'm two weeks away from giving birth to #3, our family has no transportation and I STILL have a broken down car that no one will take responsibility for. The car hasn't been on the road for more than a few weeks at a time since I bought it in October! When I spoke to Bob the owner today, he recommended that I try to trade it in somewhere and get a new car! What a fucking joke! I left messages for several attorneys this afternoon. read more

It saddens me to write this review. After not yet a year I have put more then $2,500 into the car. There seems to be one thing after the other wrong with it. I have recently been told by several people in the business never to go to Tower Auto. A bit too late for that. I guess you live and you learn. I just wish the outcome was different. I went there looking at a XJ8 they had advertised for several months. The pictures showed the blemishes, which were expected on a 1p year old car. I went there, and spoke with a sales person who told me that he was driving it to the auction, and the car went into limp home mode, and wasnt running right. Knowing Jaguars, I knew from the symptoms he explained that the repair was going to be several thousand dollars. He told me he was just going to tow it to auction. No high pressure to hide issues, no "no problem, I'll fix it", just honesty. read more

DO NOT go to Tower! Several people warned me about purchasing my vehicle at Tower, sharing their stories of horrible issues with vehicles right after the warranty expired. I didn't listen and fell in love with a BMWx5 and bought it. After purchasing it, There were 4 pending recalls (which bmw did for free, not a huge deal but I'm glad I investigated right away). ****i currently have an oil leak and several other major issues that will be extremely expensive to fix. My transmission light is on and at times the vehicle won't go over 20 mph I was sold a lemon and when I contacted the dealership I was told "too late" and that bmw was probably lying to me about the issues. Tower auto sales is filled with slimy used car salesman who are only out to make a buck rather than caring about you or your CHILDREN'S safety in one of their vehicles. The purchase and the paperwork was easy including the signing of the paperwork! The problem came when work only a week after the 30 day warranty...a new oxygen sensor was needed= $400 ! This has got to be the worst dealership I've ever came in contact with. It started off with a slimy poorly dressed sales rep named Steve negotiating with me and rambling off numbers that didn't make sense. Next was the owner Bob who was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. He kind of reminds me of a cartoon character tweedle Dee. I am surprised this place is still in business. They were trying to rip me off With my trade-in value. When I went to test drive this vehicle they didn't have a gas card and I had to put my own money into this car to test drive. Next I found out through paying for an inspection that the car had bad struts and needed new control arms. He pretty much stated that he did not want to fix this vehicle and that I could buy it without warranty for wholesale price. That might've been all right if the wholesale price was actually fare. I found out that the actual auction price the cargoes four his about 2000 less then the wholesale price he was trying to sell me for a broken car. I am a firm believer that Karma will find its way into anyone's life who decides to do wrong. Do not waste your time or your money with this dealership they are a nightmare to deal with in any way shape or form!!! Thankfully I did not need to buy the car as my car was driving just fine. I had scheduled an appointment to look at a heavy duty truck and I came in the following day after a 30 minute drive there to see an underdressed sales man who had no effort to even try to make a selling point what so ever. To make things even better he couldn't find the keys to it and had me wait a good 25 minutes so he could call his boss. Come to find out the truck was having work done to it and it wasn't there. He than asked me if I would like to see anything else and I happened to see one similar to the one I i originally saw. I went out to test drive it I had to put my own dealer plate on, had to find the truck myself in the lot in -4 degree weather. (Real professional here if you can't already tell). The best part is when I found the piece of junk it had a flat tire and the damn thing was parked so tight In the snow I couldn't get it out and before you ask me if I put it in 4 wheel drive. Believe me I tired it didn't work on the truck. Save your time, money, and energy and avoid this place. I have been looking for a new vehicle for months and this has been the worst "dealership" yet. read more

I had the best car buying experience at Tower Auto. The sales team was extremely helpful and polite, super personable, extremely friendly, and came across like they truly cared about getting me into a good car. Especially coming from lot after lot that was unkempt, unprofessional, and downright creepy, Tower Auto was a complete breath of fresh air. I purchased a 2008 Nissan Altima in beautiful condition, and I'm in absolute love with my car. Their warantee is the best you will find in town. The people there will go above and beyond to help you finance whatever you need. For starters, the finance manager, Joe, is a disgrace. He is rude, offensive, disrespectful and has no customer service skills what so ever. He had the nerve to raise his voice and belittle me before hanging up as I was still talking!! All because I wanted him to get in touch with either Bob, (the owner) or Pat, (the Manager) regarding the status of a truck Tower Auto sold my son-in-law; that he got to drive for 1 week before issues started! I have called a few times a week for a month, YES, a month this has been going on! Maybe, if they didn't just slap an inspection sticker on a vehicle that needed brake lines and had a bad oil pan (along with other major issues), I wouldn't be so cranky and be a BOTHER to them!!! They think they are being "helpful" by having the truck towed, (yes, towed because it couldn't be started), from Lacy Ford in Catskill to Metro Ford. By the way, Lacy said the truck NEVER should have passed an inspection or been sold the way it was. Yes, they are being "helpful" by giving my son in law a car to get back and forth to work with, but AGAIN, if they did the RIGHT THING in the beginning, he wouldn't need it!! Metro Ford was busy and couldn't get to the truck for a couple of weeks. Tower Auto then had it towed from Metro Ford to Prime Auto Sales down the street; for them to diagnose the problems that Lacy has already diagnosed!!!! We were not even notified that they took it from the reputable Ford Service Garage to some unknown private garage (which I hope isn't the place that put the inspection sticker on the truck to begin with!). At this point, we have hired an attorney because we just want our money back and let them keep the truck. We are waiting to see what Tower Auto offers before we proceed legally. I had a horrible experience buying a car from this dealership. I test drove the car and noticed a few issues like cracks in the windshield and the sunroof control cover was cracked. Mark was my sales person and he insured me that they would make the repairs before I bought the car. I turned in my leased vehicle to Toyota and went to pick up my new vehicle from Tower Auto. Mark said the codes needed to be reset so he put dealer plates on the vehicle and took my plates. I drove the car for a few days and brought it back to the dealer. The codes didn't fully clear so they gave me a dealer car which I drove for over a week. I went to get my car and nothing was done. I drove another car for a week with dealer plates. I received a letter from dmv that my license will be suspended. I called Tower and they insured me they would take care of it. I brought the car back and they gave me another dealer car with a temporary tire on it and the engine light on. I drove it for awhile then they gave me another dealer car with no muffler or heat. I then received another notice from DMV suspending my registration and soon my license. Three months later (driving junky cars with dealer plates) my car was able to be inspected and my license plates were on the car. The cracks on the windshield and all the problems they said they would fix were never fixed. The second day, I was pulled over for a suspended registration and license. I called Tower Auto and John answered to tell me he couldn't help me. I went to DMV and they called Pat who lied to her and said I just bought the car. I had the paperwork so she called him out on the lie. I was sent back to Tower Auto to get the title and paperwork because they never brought it to DMV. I spent the entire day and paid (again) to register the car. As of now, they still won't fix my vehicle. They know absolutely nothing about vehicles and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more
