Since there is no grocer in the downtown Atlanta area, I thought that I might find something here. Well unless you want the traditional junk food and soda pop, this is not the place to try to get a good fortifying snack. They did have bananas available, but they were past their prime. There are slot machines available if you are feeling lucky and have some extra time to waste. This also seems to be "the place" to purchase lottery tickets. Now "don't get it twisted", because this is not Barnes and Noble and you can not just hang out and peruse your favorite magazine. A little pricey, a bottle coke is almost $2.00 and most small candy bars are $1.50 Must spend at least $3 in order to use a debit/credit card, but it adds up fast, yesterday I bought a bendryl, a coke and a twix candy bar and it came up to $5.29 My favoites are the sour worms which you can buy by the pound. There are several other candies that are sold by weight and they are $2.99/lb No reading the magazines allowed, there is a sign that says you must buy the magazine before reading. Which is a plus, because the store is so small, it would be overran with people if idling was allowed. Excellent service

I consider it an easy read magazine compared to most. You are updated with the latest hotness in the city and you can find out the most loved events that are partaken around the city of Atlanta. (The latter includes chocolate-, yogurt-, and peanut-butter-covered pretzels; malt balls; sesame sticks; trail mix; chocolate-covered raisins, etc.). There is a freezer full of frozen food options with a microwave and plastic utensils. A fridge full of drinks. A Keurig coffee maker. Lots of typical convenience store items, e.g., pain relief and hygiene items, greeting cards. The store also offers laundry and dry cleaning with next day service. There is a shoe shining station, though I've never seen anyone using it. Cash only for purchases under $5 (or something low like that). The woman who runs it is really friendly and wants to be as helpful as possible. If there's anything you want that she doesn't have, she'll try to get it.

I usually skips over advertisements but even the ads printed in the Atlantan are colorful and appealing, When I travel to other cities I find it more difficult to find localized Modern Luxury publications. An online guide on where to pick up free copies would be a great addition.
