I went to Tower Club for the 3rd time and finally leaving a review. I am not a member so I cannot speak from that perspective. The first time I went was for my boss' birthday lunch, amazing food and view! Second visit was for an after hours work event. This time, I got to walk around and peek into the rooms, beautiful, elegant, and sophisticated. Great networking event and the food/drinks they were walking around with were delicious. Nothing to complain about other than they didn't come around to me enough! Last time I went, I was a guest of my family who is a member. This time, I ate in the main dining room on a Saturday after a graduation. Once again, the food and the view were amazing. We recently stayed at one of the beautiful rooms on the 50th floor (!) for a staycation weekend, so we got to experience the luxury that is known as the Tower Club! We felt so exclusive walking inside of the restaurant there for dinner and vino. The entire staff there go above and beyond to provide unique food, light bites and drinks made with all the love. Evening vibe is chill and romantic, they have a room for private events and the main dining area was so beautiful it almost looked like a museum. This is hard because I'm stuck between 3 stars and 4 stars. I went with a group of ladies. We shared appetizers. Then we all ordered entrees and cocktails. The staff seemed pleasant. The ambiance is amazing. The view is beautiful and the decor looks great. I love the space and would definitely come again. It's a nice place for drinks and dining. I love the vibe. The drinks are good. I chose a lemon drop martini and it tasted like the average martini. Nothing special or fancy. It was good though. My food presentation was nice. I tried chicken enchiladas with avocado, rice and beans. It was flavorful and portion size was good. It was warm and I should have sent it back. I want hot food to eat. It was borderline COLD. (Ask me about joining) My absolute favorite item is still on the menu (sundried chicken pasta) ‍ But I tried their new herb grilled chicken (SO JUICY AND COOKED TO PERFECTION) with sweet potato (possibly needs to be served separately or cooked differently) and the asparagus (also possibly needs to be cooked differently). The bar area has a swanky, hip vibe and the drinks are top-notch. I'm sure what their secret is, but they seemed to have perfected the Old Fashioned (best I've had in Dallas, and I've had them all). I went to an event here and had a good time. The spot is located way up high in a high rise building and has some gorgeous views of Dallas. We started off in a reception area with some cocktails and h'ordeuvres. After that they opened up the ballroom area where there were lots of tables and a stage. The tables were beautifully set. The views from this room were really stunning and I enjoyed looking out at all the lights after the sunset. My salad at the beginning of my meal was probably my favorite thing I had all night. I was definitely a little disappointed in the food here. It was a step below the hotel banquet food we were getting down the street. Everything was flavorless, dry and room temperature. I wasn't even impressed with the dessert, which sucks because it is a beautiful space. I did think that the setup of the ballroom was nice with the stage and everything seemed to work and go smoothly. We had several people that presented and spoke in front of the crowd. My first visit to the Tower Club. I am amber of ClubCorp and arranged a business lunch here. Scheduling was very easy. We got a window table and the views are incredible. They serve a buffet during lunch which my guests enjoyed. I went with a steak salad and it was good. My only issue was that I was not a huge fan of their blue cheese dressing. Just not my style for blue cheese. Other than that, all good. I have to recommend their signature soup; cream of poblano. Outstanding soup. Service was top notch. In fact, they were not serving that soup that day, but when I was not interested in the vegetable barley soup, they went back and made this for me. That is service. This is where we got married in November 2006! Lynn was our event coordinator, Freda was our assistant event coordinator & they exceeded our expectations. I don't believe I was the easiest bride....and they walked me & my hubby through every step of the wedding planning process to make sure we didn't forget a step. The Tower Club is on the 48th floor of the Thanksgiving Tower in downtown Dallas & is completely surrounded by windows. You can see all of downtown Dallas no matter what room you are in- all beautiful views. Tower Club itself has nice furniture, drapes, and a nice selection of linens to choose from from BBJ Linen. The food on our wedding day was from the Tower Club, and being the food nut that I am, I wanted it to be damn good. It was! They allowed us to customize some things as well- for example, they had fried shrimp on the menu, and I asked if it could be breaded in panko bread crumbs instead to make it lighter- not a problem! How cool is that? Also, the mashed potato martini bar was a huge hit and tasted great- it looked very elegant as well. Another fun addition was a coffee & hot chocolate bar where people could customize their coffee w/ cinnamon swirl sticks & dollops of whipped cream & chocolate shavings. Although people were drinking, I saw one of our friends walk by with a big ass coffee drink w/ whipped cream on top that looked pretty tasty. One of the MOST special parts of our entire wedding night was at one point, they pulled Bryan & I aside into a separate room to a candlelit dinner so we could actually eat. We sat for about 5-10 minutes eating our food & drinking champagne- the rest of the wedding had no idea we were even gone. They packed us up a doggie bag to go that night as well, but the fact that we had those few minutes to get off our feet & eat our food freshly cooked together was so cool. Came here for a weeknight dinner with the family. When we walked off the elevator and made ourselves to the front of the restaurant, we were not greeted. The lady at the front desk was on the phone and did not even lift her head up to acknowledge we were there. So we decided to walk into the restaurant and there was no one at the hostess stand. Luckily, we saw our family already seated nearby so we headed over to the table ourselves. The service was extremely slow. There were only three tables occupied in the dining room (including ours). We got to the restaurant at 7:30 and did not get to order our food until 8:00pm. They took their time to bring water and our wine order. We were starving. They also did not bring out the bread basket until our appetizers came out. All the dishes were so small and two of the three different entrees we ordered we so salty! Also, two of the dishes we wanted to order were not available or were not recommended by our waitress. We wanted the lamb shank and the fritto misto but our waitress said that they didn't have the ingredients to make the fritto misto and that the lamb was not ready. The club is simply beautiful, it has the capabilities of down sizing for a small group or for a large group. The view is simply breathtaking, from the 48th floor you can actually see all of downtown. The food was just delicious, the right temperature and consistence. The waitstaff was on point. They were there whenever we needed them.
