Dr. Frank recommended two amazing little machines, used daily, and I was off the walker in 2 weeks and the brace 2 weeks after that. One month after being released from the hospital, having had to crawl up my stairs when I got home, I was able to start working out on my Tonal again. Please, if you need help with anything, go see Dr. Frank. He is full of knowledge, heart, and talent.

When my husband and I were there for the initial meeting, we specifically asked the Dr. twice: Do we get a refund on unused visits? He just said yes both times. I also asked the receptionist the day of the 1st visit when I handed her the check and she said yes. What was not clear to us is that if you take the discount, then they take the discount off the amount of money you have coming back if you want a refund for unused visits. And according to the contract, you might actually owe them money if you decide to stop the treatment near the very end of the series of visits. That may be hard to believe but that's what the contract states. So, read your contract. Another issue is the quality and handling of medical records. The Before and After X-rays taken by Lake Orion Chiropractic Center are done on old-fashioned films and are not good quality. We wanted copies for our own files but were told that we would have to take a photo of the X-ray with our phone or a camera. Imagine that! In this day when even veterinarians make x-rays and other screenings available in a digital format that they share on thumb drives or CDs or just email them to you promptly! The Dr. should be ashamed at his lack of quality x-rays, especially after being in business so long -- it is not like he is just starting out. It was also difficult to get copies of my medical records. I always like to get copies so I have them in my files at home - that way if I need to share them with another Doctor, or if Lake Orion Chiropractic Center goes out of business, I still have my own copies. But when I asked for copies, I have never heard so many excuses as to why the records are not ready or why they haven't done it. One excuse that surprised me when I asked for copies of the charts: "No one has ever asked us that question." I find that hard to believe, but that still doesn't explain why it took repeated calls and emails and a HIPAA release form to actually get the records. Bottom Line: Buyer Beware

The surgery was the most non-invasive procedure I could imagine. I can already tell I am carrying my weight on the outside of my foot instead of the middle to inside. Choosing Dr. Weinert was not done lightly. I sought him out specifically to care for my feet not just for his glowing reputation, but for the most important one to me. My mother who was a type 2 diabetic for over 40 years constantly raved about the services she received from Dr. Weinert. Imagine my surprise when I also found out that he was treating her at NO COST when her insurance changed and didn't cover the services.....this went on for YEARS. We lost my mom in 2018, and when I came in for my consult, Dr. Weinert and Donna spent so much time talking about memories of my mom and how much they loved her. They are not only highly skilled professionals, but they truly care for the people they treat. My mom also bragged about all the philanthropic work Dr. Weinert does in the community and how much that meant to her. That is so hard to find in today's world. I seriously feel like the two negative reviews that are posted about this practice are BOGUS and should be seen for what they are and removed.

He's very friendly, patient, sympathetic, and listens well. He's prompt, so there is no sitting in a waiting room for an hour. When I had to decide on surgery last year, he explained every step of the procedure, the cost, the time I would be under anesthesia, possible complications, recovery, and when I would be back to "normal." I'm too old for normal. Anyway, he warned that he's conservative with Achilles repair. Others might say recovery is six weeks, but he gives it seven to eight weeks. After hearing the horror story (not told by the doctor) of a marathoner who insisted on just five weeks of recovery, I deeply appreciate his caution. I know he spoke with my husband after surgery, and it must have been thorough because my husband knew everything that was happening to me before I did, including excessive thirst. Another amazing thing about this office is that when my husband was laid off at the beginning of the pandemic, they didn't hound me to pay my bill. They didn't send a bill collector or wreck my credit. They were wonderful about it. Elizabeth and Tonya are fun and laugh at my jokes. It's unusual to have everyone in a doctor's office be nice and personable, but this small group of people gets along with each other and with patients very well.
